Great place for coffee, cake, breakfasts and snacks. Particularly good selection on vegetarian and vegan options on just about everything. Amazing menu board choice. The food is lovely and I thoroughly recommend. Photo shows the Much Bigger (standard) English breakfast - they also do a vegetarian option - and Aquaman Toast.

Baobab is a fab place for breakfast, lunch or just a quick coffee. The atmosphere is really chilled and the decor is quirky and fun. Service is always spot on and the food is delicious and great value for money. I thoroughly enjoyed the Vegan Club Sandwich at Baobab. The flavours really complimented each other and the fillings were generous and fresh. It’s great to go into somewhere and be able to enjoy something different and this certainly was! I can’t wait to go back and try some of their vegan cake too - the chocolate and banana looked lush!

I drove from Leicester with my dad just to have coffee and cake here, and I regret nothing! We are both wheat intolerant and this place was a dream come true. Coeliacs, gluten free, dairy free and vegan eaters alike need to know about this place! The owner (pictured) is coeliac himself and is very aware of the finer details, such as cross contamination. He personally came and went through all of the cakes (most of which were clearly labelled anyway) to let us know which ones we could safely eat. Eating gluten free can be really limiting when out and about. Usually we end up choosing between a brownie and maybe one other option, but not here! Six gluten free proper cakes (including gluten free cheesecakes and tiramisu!), plus 3 or 4 gluten free traybakes! We were over the moon at actually having choices! We chose lemon drizzle cake and tiramisu and they were absolutely divine. The coffee was lovely too and nicely presented, including my dad’s piccolo latte (an Aussie thing, many baristas here in the uk are confused by it - but not this guy!). They have four different dairy free milk alternatives to choose from. The staff were all lovely, particularly the owner. You can see how passionate he is about his business and about making sure his customers enjoy their food and drinks, while enabling them to stay safe from allergens. I will be happy to make the 20 minute drive again just to go to Baobab. If I could improve anything it would be that the seating/decor could do with a bit of refining but that’s not a big deal! The place was clean and well lit with lots of outside seating in the sun. No complaints here!

I'm not sure what cakes the previous review had but our cakes are always delicious and we've tried almost all of them now! I can't recommend this place enough they cater for all sorts of dietary requirements especially for vegans (my girlfriend) and gluten free (I'm coeliac). The options for both of us are exceptional so if you are vegan or gluten free definitely check this place out!

I adore this cafe, they do the best salmon bagels and cake! I often come here for those and the staff are always very kind and lovely! I would absolutely recommend this place, especially to hang out with friends or a solo date to enjoy your day!

I recently visited Baobab Cafe with my family all the way from Ireland. We were absolutely delighted with the experience. The cafe's menu is truly amazing, catering to every dietary requirement. The variety of options ensured that each member of my family found something they loved. The homemade cakes were a delightful treat, and the locally roasted coffee was simply delicious. What made our visit even more special was the fact that my daughter proclaimed the milkshake she had as the best she's ever tasted. Baobab Cafe has certainly left a lasting impression on us, and we'll definitely be back whenever we're in the area. Thank you Baobab Cafe

Where do I start, Baobab is fantastic. The owner and his wife are so friendly and welcoming from the minute you walk through the door you are greeted with a smile. The staff are always attentive and polite and make the bit so enjoyable. I ordered an omelette today with toast and beans and my better half ordered her usual Famous scrambled eggs. To drink my partner had a dirty chai latte and I wanted to try the white hot chocolate. The owner advised me to try it with an espresso shot and I wouldn't be disappointed and boy he wasn't wrong. It's like a thick creamy latte delight and I'd highly recommend to anyone who likes a creamy coffee experience. The food arrived hot and fresh and as always, was amazing. We use Baobab for our go to breakfast location every time we are in Loughborough due to the experience from start to finish and I would happily recommend to anyone to give them a try.

We enjoyed a nice lunch here, we opted for two baguettes. One with chicken, bacon and lettuce and the other with tuna Mayo and sweetcorn. The baguettes were freshly toasted which made for a nice crispy exterior but leaving the inside perfectly soft. We didn’t really care for the nachos and would have appreciated a choice of crisps or maybe the option to add a side of chips, however this wasn’t available. The rocky roads were unbelievably good! Just the perfect level of sweetness and pack with soft crumbling biscuit… plus they were huge!

Lovely little Caffe with an amazing selection of food. The kitchen is very small though so we were waiting for our takeaway order for a while but they do the best with the facilities they have. Great tea and coffee too!

We stopped in Loughborough for a lunch break on our drive home from Yorkshire to London. We’re so happy we chose Baobab Cafe. The menu all looked delicious and I was really impressed by the gluten free options. Having read the other reviews and after speaking to the staff I was very confident that care would be taken in preparing my meal. The Cape Club sandwich was delicious and the brownie perfect. The atmosphere in the cafe was lovely and the staff were super friendly. This will be our go-to place for our journeys to the north. Thanks so much to everyone at Baobab, we hope to see you soon!

Very friendly local cafe. Decor is bright and fun and the attention to detail impressive. The menu is varied but not daunting and the service is prompt. I treated my twins to the snack plate which had lovely fresh vegetables served with ham, cheese, chicken and bread. They loved it, especially the warmed milk with chocolate powder and marshmallows! Definitely recommend.

Good location, fast delivery but the breakfast I had was far from being good. Unseasoned salad, uncooked mushrooms and an omelette that tasted like the napkins that were brought to us. My partner had the normal English breakfast and that one was decent. Not coming again tho.

We recently visited Loughborough to meet friends and I found Baobab Cafe. We certainly weren't disappointed. We had the vegan breakfast which was delicious and our friends really enjoyed their full English breakfast. A choice of vegan desserts too. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff friendly. Good value for money. We liked it so much we came back the following week.

One of the best chai lattes we’ve had in the UK! Great vegan and gluten free options both in foods, drinks and cakes. Nice vibe, great service, friendly and welcoming, and eclectic decor. Wish there were more cafes like this in the UK!!!

This is a bustling little place on the edge of town, great for uni students and locals alike. The interior is unique and attractive, though it was bit messy and confusing inside (most likely due to a small shop being rather busy!) The staff were nice enough, expected given the rush, and the service was a little slow, forgiven given the circumstances though. The food was okay, but not at all what I was expecting from such a cafe. Other places with similar set ups have good quality food at their centre, but this didn’t seem to be case here. It was very simple and very average, and a little disappointing given the wait time and how busy it was. Maybe it’s the drinks everyone wants, who knows! We most likely won’t be coming back, but it’s worth giving it a go to see for yourself

Amazing selection of gluten free and vegan food. The staff are lovely and the service is great. I love the inclusive toilet door sign, too! We're going again today to grab a beautiful breakfast. Will definitely visit again on our travels from Hull 🖤😊
