I have a very close connection to the Wieltsee and the entire surrounding area, as I used to travel here regularly as a small child. There are many options for leisure activities here, from swimming, fishing, short hikes, recently also camping and of course not to be overlooked, the wonderful marina. The lake is partly more than 15 m deep and has quite clear water compared to the Weser connected to the lake. I still really enjoy coming here.
