Spent the weekend here while I was in Ontario for work. And of course like everybody else I read the reviews first. All I can say is that the bad reviews I saw we're definitely undeserved. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The air conditioning was ice cold and it was hot out so that was excellent. The rooms are not huge but plenty big for what I needed. The location is amazing if you want to be able to walk somewhere to have some adult beverages or to grab a good meal. I stay in hotels a lot for work and was definitely impressed with this place.

It was good for a few nights stay when working in the area. Reasonable prices. Parking can be a bit tight for larger vehicles. Good Wi-Fi.

Location was very quiet and seemed safe, close to convenience stores and lots of take out nearby. The room I had was very clean, nice hard wood floor, the bed was a little to hard for my liking but it was still clean. Also the bathroom was very clean as well. Great price compared to places nearby.

The owners are extremely ignorant. Heaters don't work half the time. If ur native don't waist your time going there u won't get a room. I wouldn't let my dog stay here..

The owner and staff are wonderful, and the renovations look great! It's a nice quiet spot, with tons of great restaurants in walking distance. The Lucien is our go-to when we want a place to stay in Whitby.

Love this place, close of everything, highways, malls, restaurant gaz station.. super duper clean place and amazing costumer service price is great. Came from Montréal and Will come back for sure 💞 no more hôtels for me when i Will stay in whitby Lucien Motel is m'y Choice #1.

I’m a student producer who stayed here to shoot a thesis short film project for college. The family at the Lucien are the nicest and most welcoming people. They are very generous, and take OUTSTANDING care of this motel. It is incredibly clean and well kept. They are fantastic people, and you should definitely give them your business if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Whitby!

I was weary when I saw the price. I was weary when I saw the outside. Then I got shown a room and was pleasantly surprised. Floor is modern as is the bathroom. Possibly renovated. Room was small but only needed it for one night. AC worked great. Washroom and bathtub/shower was clean. Bed was good too. Only issues was the wifi kept cutting in and out. So be prepared to use a bit of your data. Area was good. Across from a newly constructed row of business. A few minutes walk to downtown and about a 10 mi yet walk to a grocery store and shoppers. Lots of restaurants around. Again, pleasantly surprised.

Excellent Stay. We needed a place to stay just for a night. Check in was easy and simple. Room was extremely clean and nice, basic and easy. TV was fine, bed was very comfortable and with sheets and warm fleece blanket, pillows very cozy and cases all clean as well, was perfect. Bathroom was CLEAN AND NICE. Soap, clean towels all was well and satisfactory. We will stay again if we stop by again. Thank you.

They will refuse to let someone stay there that needs a service dog to get by on their daily routine

The stay was a little longer than anticipated but what was a challenging time, turned out to be an opportunity to meet the warmest and kindness person. Nice little motel, good location and great owners. From the older gentleman who always said hello with a smile to the warm kindhearted lady at the front desk. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! A perfect place to lay you head after a day of work. The room was clean and equipped with all you need to ensure a pleasant stay. I will stay again, if I ever find myself in the area again.

amazing place, location is great. staff is very accomidating, came through with my family as everything was full or not taking any more people. the ownersade it a point to give us a room for the night. thank you

Well do not come here if you plan on having some drop by for a visit. They will call and kick them out.

Excellent service, the staff was helpful and nice. Quiet area and surroundings. Good overall experience. Would recommend.

The wifi was not working at the time but everything else was excellent.
