I
arrived
at
Chiang
Rai
airport
late
last
night,
and
headed
for
the
taxi
rank.
It
was
raining,
and
there
is
no
shelter
over
the
the
walkway
to
the
parking
area
for
the
taxis,
and
no
shelter
for
where
the
taxis
have
to
wait.
I
suppose
it
never
occured
to
the
airport
management
that
it
sometimes
rains
and
that
arriving
passengers
might
get
soaked
when
trying
to
get
a
taxi!!
During
the
day,
as
there
is
no
shelter,
the
taxi
drivers
have
to
park
and
wait
in
the
hot
sun,
so
it
is
not
pleasant
for
them.
As
for
the
taxis,
there
are
cleary
marked
metered
taxis
at
the
taxi
rank,
but
there
are
scammers
hovering
around
the
taxi
area
purporting
to
be
taxi
drivers
touting
for
passengers.
They
drive
ordinary
cars
and
will
try
and
rip
you
off.
Avoid
them.
The
authorities
need
to
crack
down
on
them
and
drive
them
out
of
the
airport.
