Airport is really basic. Once through security there is no where to get any form of liquid even water is unavailable. Way too many people for seats as well, make sure you don't go through security until close to boarding time

The airport is a little small but the staffs are helpful. Sadly, there’s no tuktuk or or any public transportation that goes to the city downtown. Though there are few private taxis in Airport's right wing.

The airport is small and easy to navigate. Check in staff are very friendly and security has improved at the time I advertise been there. The planes are easy to find their gate and easy baggage collection. The international departure is great and the Immagration staff are friendly and international arrivals are friendly and kind staff. CIQ is also available for connecting from domestic to international flights witch is a time saver.

The airport seems fine although it's old and small. However, 2 stars are missing because the inspector officer at the passenger gate refused to accept the boarding pass in paper although it is the exact same details as the airline website shows. The officer claimed that it was not clear. We are wondering how the airlines and different gate could use this paper to scan if it's not clear?? How about you do your work and just scan before blah blah blah refusing to do your duty? Your lazy attitude cause other people with this passenger and also people in the long line to be stucked and almost late to enter the boarding gate. If this ever happens again next time, your director would be informed and you all would be obligated to explain in the public

This is a small regional airport. It is mainly on the ground floor with 1st floor for International Departures via the Air Bridges. There is a large selection of shops and cafes in the main concourse. Free WiFi and plug to charge your mobile.

Small but nice airport with very clean toilets. There was a food court on the second floor and some other restaurant chain including Doi Kham, Black Canyon, Dairy Queen, Potato Corner and some other local souvenir shops. The check in counter was very efficient.

The airport was super crowded and almost no place to sit when I was trying to return during the year end vacations back to Bangkok. It's small airport and I think not big enough to handle this kind of crowd. I was sitting on the floor at the gate after getting my boarding pass.

Chiang Rai International Airport is a small airport but the area is clean and safe. Standards on management of occupational safety, hygiene and working environment are also quite good. There are many stores in the department store. Suitable for urgent travel. This area is a 2-storey building, providing services for domestic and international passengers. There are many exciting festivals for tourists to enjoy while traveling through many exhausting flights!

Flew literally all over the world with a jar of our favourite hot sauce - way less than the 100mL limit and they still threw it away for no reason. Poor form.

It’s ok, small airport only a coffee shop and a small lounge for priority pass holders and some credit card holders inside the domestic departure (-after security). Very polite staff at checkin for Thai smile

Nice smaller airport, very nice prices and food court. Security control brisk. They also have new self service kiosks here including self baggage drop off.

As soon as the plane arrived, I could feel the PM2.5, air pollution which will q me here😂 Small airport, less rest area for waiting.

Nice and good airport. No public transportation to town. You can call taxi or use indrive or bolt to town. Taxi price is about 150 baht

Nice convenient airport located 10 minutes from the city center by car. The airport is a little dated but in the check-in hall there are plenty of food and coffee stalls. The departure hall is a single hall with only a couple of stalls. Check-in and departure process is fast.

A great airport to fly in and out of. No queues. Car park and drop off by entrance. So easy.

The airport is reasonably clean and has some shops for food drink and souvenir. It is a bit crowded today. If there is any infected person in this crowd, it can be easily speakding

Problem is Parking lot !

I arrived at Chiang Rai airport late last night, and headed for the taxi rank. It was raining, and there is no shelter over the the walkway to the parking area for the taxis, and no shelter for where the taxis have to wait. I suppose it never occured to the airport management that it sometimes rains and that arriving passengers might get soaked when trying to get a taxi!! During the day, as there is no shelter, the taxi drivers have to park and wait in the hot sun, so it is not pleasant for them. As for the taxis, there are cleary marked metered taxis at the taxi rank, but there are scammers hovering around the taxi area purporting to be taxi drivers touting for passengers. They drive ordinary cars and will try and rip you off. Avoid them. The authorities need to crack down on them and drive them out of the airport.

Very small airport Prior to security check you will find some food stalls and stores after security there js limited availability of food or goods to buy. There is enough seating but nothing special in there. As security is super efficient and usually flight volume is very limited, there is no need to be very early at the airport. Some airlines will ask for baggage drop 90 mon prior to departure, dont be there muvh earlier you will have nothing to do
