B2 Hotel misleads re: location. The hotels says it is .03 km to city center but it is 2.4Km! This means no restaurants nearby. Expensive taxis. Time for Agoda to ensure that distances to city is verified. I had to leave as people in room joining mine kept me up to 2 am. Hotel admitted that rooms are old and do not have soundproofing. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME A FULL REFUND.

Very good value and surprisingly good rooms and location. Close to Central Chiang Rai mall and night life. Big rooms and strong air conditioning. Water pressure in big bathroom was powerful, not a weak trickle like some hotels. Staff friendly and speak English too. Quiet location for sleeping at night and huge comfortable bed with soft sheets. Outstanding overall for an amazing price. We tried other B2 but this one is the best and it's newly renovated too. Highly recommended.

The staff are super awesome and friendly. I was happy with my interactions with them. I stayed in Room 210 which seemed to be good and cozy. I'll share more on that in just a moment. I loved the linens, towels, and firmness of the mattress. I wasn't hanging out in the room a lot to notice all the fine details. I did sleep well though and that is a plus. On my day of check out, I noticed some of the other rooms. I had other rooms to compare Room 210 with. The building is aging. Various things can be easily seen before you enter the premises. One is the huge hole in the architectural structure in the front of the building. One of the panels is damaged. Back to the room. Room 210 flooring needs attention. There are chips in the tile floor. And the tile nearest the door moves when you walk on it. The bathroom tiles around the shower are bulging out due to water damage. The headboard looks beaten with damage with paint covering it. I happened to see the other neighboring rooms because the doors were open for housekeeping. And they looked better than the one I was in. I would stay here again but not in Room 210. I noticed that 209 has a completely different flooring type and the interior style looks more inviting. Keep in mind there is no soundproofing! I was lucky there weren't any noisy neighbors during the night. I could hear the person on the next room rearranging their luggage. You can hear everything. Thanks again to the wonderful staff. A hotel is for guest to rest and sleep well after a day out. Unfortunately the bed was old and worn with springs all sagging. Every night couldn't sleep proper with body ache in the morning. Though all other is acceptable, very good housekeeping and friendly receptionist, unfortunately the main criteria for a hotel is a good night sleep... I wouldn't stay here again and doesn't recommend it. Not worth the price. The room is really run down and I can tell right away that it was not properly taken care of. There's dust stacking up in the bathroom door window design. Bathroom sink faucet is super loose and the staff said that they won't fix it cause the water still runs. Bed is firm and pillow is not comfortable because it's thin, asked for another pillow and they said no. No trash can in the room except the bathroom. Location is not great either. Getting there gave me the vibe of where am I going? So nope. Never staying here again.
