I
live
in
this
area,
though
until
today
I
was
unaware
of
how
expansive
the
park
is
and
just
how
many
amenities
it
has
to
offer.
In
addition,
there
are
construction
projects
going
on
and
renovations
to
the
community
center.
What
a
great
place
to
have
that
offers
something
for
everyone
in
an
area
of
town
where
it
is
needed
and
can
be
appreciated
by
so
many.
The
winding
paved
walkways
throughout
the
area
will
take
you
to
any
of
these
activities
you
may
wish
to
involve
yourself
in,
depending
upon
the
season.
This
time
of
year
is
a
great
time
to
walk
through
the
park
to
see
the
many
leafless
trees
that
reveal
what
was
once
hidden
from
view
by
leaves.
There
are
places
to
shoot
hoops,
ball
diamonds
(one
with
beautiful
artificial
turf),
football
fields,
several
sets
of
tennis
courts,
a
very
playful
fenced
pool
area,
kiddie
play
areas
with
slides
and
things
to
keep
them
busy,
concessions,
newly
added
restroom
facilities,
spectator
seating
to
watch
the
action,
an
outdoor
presentation
area
and
a
community
center
building
that
is
being
updated
as
I
write
this.
If
you
don't
prefer
to
partake
in
any
of
the
above
you'll
find
shaded
spots
to
sit
and
grills
to
prepare
your
favorite
fare.I
am
sure
that
I
have
forgotten
a
couple
of
things,
but
I
hope
I
have
intrigued
you
to
come
and
give
this
park
a
visit.
Due
to
its
location
it
is
understandable
why
you
may
not
have
seen
all
that
is
available
here
.
The
park
is
directly
west
of
the
highway,
east
of
the
grain
elevators,
between
17th
St
and
13th
St.
There
is
parking
or
access
available
at
three
different
points
along
Wabash
St,
at
14th,
15th
and
16th
St
and
along
17th
St
at
Ohio
St..
Truthfully,
I
have
not
seen
a
more
variety
packed,
public
park
in
the
city.
