Historic cable car, believe it is the last water ballast car left. Well maintained. Short ride to the park up on the hill. You can walk to the old church higher up the hill. Good day out. We traveled by bus from the station. Ask at the information office to get the correct bus. There are several bus stops there.

This is a Must place to visit when in Wiesbaden. It's not only using the famous train up and down the hill, only using the water pressure, if you are a engineer this will amaze you. The top is a beautiful view of Wiesbaden, you will see the winery's spread Outs. The Opelbad is there.. claiming activities or walking through the forest and around the area is the golden church the Russian Orthodox, St Elizabeth church. Roof are made out of gold. The story and history behind is beautiful.

Unique way to the top. Amazing technology (fill the top car with people (inside) & water (underneath) & then let that extra weight pulley the lower car & people, up to the top. Release water from lowest car, as you fill the top one with water! Surprisingly simple & effective. Look for the water release (underneath the carriage) after cable car reaches the bottom.

The Neroberg Mountain Railway is a must do if you are visiting Wiesbaden. The tickets for the train are cheap and as the train ascends and descends, you are greeted with spectacular views of the area. One cannot ignore the technology behind the train...wow! Arriving at the top, a track winds through the surrounding foliage. One feels encompassed by nature, although on the outskirts. Whether the sun is shining or the clouds have rolled in, it is a ride and walk worth each and every minute. Calming and relaxing are two words that come to mind. Without spoiling the experience, there is a lovely eatery in the open park space, and a couple of surprises, particularly when looking out from the gazebo. Once you see it, you will continue further along the journey.

Nice experience. Best panorama view of Wiesbaden. However I find the price for the tram is a bit pricey because the distance is short and can easily walk by yourself to the top.

Nice romantic tour, use the old train To reach the top , 5 euro / person two ways , some people prefer to use the train one way up and after visiting the Orthodox Church they walk the whole way down, from there .

These two mountain trains have been operating since 1888, even in the days of Kaiser Wilhelm and we always bring visiting friends here. The sophisticated technology amazed us. This place is highly recommended and there is a beautiful Russian Orthodox nearby, a restaurant, a landmark pavillion and a beautiful look out to Wiesbaden.

A really environmental friendly transportation from the base to the top of the mountain. But it doesn't open in winter, will open again in spring! So now you need to walk or drive car to go upward.

Super cute way to travel up a hill, old school like.

This little railway is a must-see for anybody visiting Wiesbaden and Frankfurt! It's the only railway left in Germany powered by water and gravity, no electricity is used. Tickets cost 5 euro per person for adults and 3 euro for children round trip. Single trips are offered for 1 euro cheaper. RMV tickets are not valid on the Nerobergbahn, I would recommend buying one upon arrival. Card is accepted, but not contactless.

Relatively long lines for a very short ride as it onl goes to a small hill. I would suggest skipping this if the lines are long. The cars are well maintained and it is very authentic and we'll preserved, so it's nice for cable car enthusiasts

It’s cute beautiful train as the way you can enjoy to go to Neroberg of Wiesbaden if you didn’t bring the car. The price is cheap but the views you get is beautiful. This train is safety, clean and comfortable.

Lovely visit to the local area and use the Nerobergbahn funicular railway . An enjoyable visit where the staff are friendly and helpful. The journey is short to the top but extremely interesting with the water powered cog railway making an effortless trip to ascend the hill (and back down). At the top there are great views across Wiesbaden and beyond . There is a poignant 14-18 war memorial near to the viewpoint that should be visited too. There are interesting short walks and a cafe to quench your requirements too. All in all a great place to visit.

Enjoyable ride. Definitely worth the €5 to go both up and down. There are a couple nice restaurants at the top and a lot to explore!

Hard not to love this train. The ride is fun, the technology behind it brilliantly simple, and the destination (park and church) are well worth it. It's touristy, but definitely a 'must see' if you are in Wiesbaden for any amount of time.

Pretty cool place but was muddy when we came. Other than that its quick to see and not too expensive. Check it out if you got a bit of time on your hands
