A very popular park in the middle of Wigan. Located close to the town centre. Very popular, and in summer it does get quite busy as the college is across the road. Theres a duck pond and very well maintained gardens. A cafe and water fountain. Plenty of benches and large grassed areas. Popular with dog walkers and families.

Mesnes Park is a lovely place to visit for all the family with lots to do. There's the pavilion cafe with its in and outdoor seating, which overlooks the park. A playground and duck pond for the children to play and feed the ducks. There us a quiet place to seat in the rose garden.Plenty of out door space for a picnic and bring your own outdoor games, if the sun is shining . If you decide to visit I hope you enjoy yourself 😊😊

The first park I visited when I came to the UK. Beautiful park with a duck pond, cricket pitch, children's playground, walking paths and an amazing ice cream shop for those hot summer days. It even has a quaint wedding venue. In fact, it's where my fiance and I are getting married.

The grounds of Mesnes Park are kept beautifully, certainly a lovely walk with much to do. There’s good old Fredericks ice cream at the centre with reasonably priced ice cream and deserts available, parks for the kids to play, plenty of space and smooth paths for kids (or adults) to roller skate/skateboard, and plenty of ducks, swans and geese (I think) to feed. Overall, a lovely little trip now the weathers getting better!

This park is absolutely beautiful and amazing for all families! We have been there couple of times and always happy to come back. Place is really well looked after and during summer time nice place for picnic and ice cream in the cafe. Have nothing bad to say about the park.

Lovely park with walk trails, play area, small pond and ducks. There is outdoor gym area near the play area and sport ground. The park is close to Frederick Ice Cream, so you can pop in for delicious ice cream.

The park itself was amazing loads to do and with it being a big park loads of places to explore and activities to engage in such as: inflatables on the weekends , fundraisers , wigan 10k , bike ride and a outdoor gym. To cool down why don't you nip to the ice cream parlour located near the fountain for a cold drink ,dessert , slush, ice cream and more

Had a beautiful walk with my son, saw lots of wildlife! Baby Park is great with lots of things to do. Just wish there were more family benches around the park area for families to sit & eat

Probably in here 3-5 times a week. Best condition it's ever been in as far as I can remember. Always well kept, clean, safe. Cafe is good, play park is pretty huge. Only improvement would be to either renovate the tennis courts or replace them with a more generic usable space.

A beautiful park in the centre of Wigan. It has a victorian cafe with indoor & outdoor seats & hot drinks, snacks & ice cream available there. Also a large duckpond, a fountain, flower beds & grass to sit on, a children’s playground & lots of space πŸ˜ƒ

There's a duck pond, a fountain, a cafe (which has a variety of cakes, tarts, pies and ice cream) and a bandstand. Two statues (Sir Francis Powell and a memorial for the Boer War). A nice place to have a great time walking around, feeding the ducks and getting some sun.

A lovely park! Very dog friendly as it was dog city! We quickly popped to the cafe, not much seating unfortunately but the ice cream was one of the best I've had. Definitely worth five stars for that alone

Always our favourite place to visit, a day of free fun. We take a loaf to feed the ducks, rubbed the man's foot for good luck, throw pennies in the fountain, play in the park and if everyone is good, get an ice cream. I love coming here and my dad used to bring me some 30 years ago to do the exact same routine and they are some if my best memories

A special place for my wife and I. When I first moved to the UK we lived across the street and enjoyed the park every day. We even got married here. Perfect for walking and enjoying time with the family. There's a duck pond and it's very pet friendly. There's a picnic area and play area for the little ones. Walking paths and an ice cream shop for hot summer days.

Very nice park, good for walk, children or dog play. Very Relaxing. Only negative is paid parking. Public places should have free parking or cheap parking. Parking machine was also melfunction. I paid for one hour according to description mentioned on machine but got ticket just for 30 minutes.

The ice-cream parlor is very nice. With indoor and outdoor seating. Large selection of vegetarian ice-creams. Also selling vegan ice-cream. Staff lovely and polite and eager to help. I enjoyed my stop at the park and would go again. Recommended for a quick relaxing walk. There are QR codes to scan around the park which give fun information. Like the Troll tree pictured for example.
