Very nice hotel in a Chateau located 40 minutes by train from Amsterdam. A ten-minute walk from the station. Spacious, well-appointed rooms. Restaurant, bar, wellness area and lovely exterior. Perfect for couples and families. Occasional WiFi problems and no nearby restaurants. Recommend booking the restaurant. Rather high price.

Really disappointed with communication that hotel maintains with guests. Booked in long advance the stay to find out that there is no capacity for dinner last moment. instead of trying to accommodate guests first or offering anything instead or making sure guests are aware of the situation, Hotel just doesn’t care. Knowing hospitality industry that’s very unprofessional for 4/5 star hotel. Ruined weekend and experience.

AREA: The hotel is located in a very peaceful area. Just around the corner you have the National Park with walking pathes. You can meet many deers in their natural environment. ROOM: we had a classic double room with garden view. The room looked tiny despite that fact that its size stayted as 22 m2. The bed was very comfortable and you have everything you need in the room. To our surprise, the minibar in the room was just a fridge with no drinks included. But we did not need the drinks so it did not make any difference to us. However, the fridge had some rust inside and the wall in the tpilet had a huge crack. This was a pity to see in a 4-star hotel. BREAKFAST: we were during corona and the hotel took all the measurements to prevent spreading of the virus. All the guests have been asked to fill in their plates once with everything what they need and not to walk around. This helped not to stay in a long line waiting for your meals. The waiters were serving tea and coffee as many times as you wish. The buffet was decent but nothing extraordinary: yogurts (a few options), fruits, cereals, breads, buns, muffins, sausages, cheeses, eggs, bacon, etc. We enjoyed it. RESTAURANT: you have a few options in there: 3,4,5,6-course menu or regular meals like burgers and salads. The waiters have done an amazing job. They are very attentive, helpful and smiling. We had 3 and 4-course menu. The meals were delicious. I give 5 stars to the restaurant and the staff in the restaurant. SERVICE: a young lady at the reception gave me an impression that she might be an intern. We were not informed that they charge us a deposit of 50 euros, also she did say a word about the breakfast (for your information, during corona you have to register at the reception for a specific time slot), no information about booking a table at the restaurant. I read reviews and I knew that you have to book it, otherwise it is almost impossible to get in. Even though we registered, when we arrived we were not on the list. However, the restaurant staff hadled it nicely. Our room was not perfectly clean. We had lots of dust on the desks and the windows were very dirty. The same in general areas. The stairs are covered with carpets but the dust is noticable in the corners. Somehow, I think this is a general practice in the Netherlands. This is not the first time we stay in a 4-star hotel and we observe lots of dust. That is why we were not surprised. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we would recommend to visit the hotel and the area. Just for the price we pay for the room, we wish higher service in terms of cleanliness and providing information at reception.

The castle and the tuin is beautiful with a lake and clean blue sky. We went to the reception to ask for bath and they give us nice explanation. What’s more, we met a bad incident in the room however the ladies are kind and warm and give us a free bottle of wine. What’s more, all the service was quick and satisfying providing room change, explanations, waiting at every reception desk providing good service, little gifts and picking up calls. The room and the atmosphere are very elegant and sophisticated. The people are so chill and nice that they give a warm and first class service which makes your hotel experience more refreshing and rewarding.

A beautifully appointed hotel with classic decor and old world charm. NOTE::: This is not for people are looking for a modern room - but this was perfect for us as each room is authentically decorated in neo classical decor. The building and common areas are all beautiful and perfect in every way. It was such a pleasure to stay some place that isn’t decorated in IKEA inspired bland modernity!!! The downstairs dining area and lounge are renovated but very tasteful. While we only had breakfast we really the food. All staff were very professional and friendly and the spa area provided for a very relaxing experience.

A truly unique experience in an old converted mansion home, once the largest private home in the Netherlands built by a colonialist. It has modern spa facilities (albeit a bit small), on-site bike rental, and is surrounded by gorgeous woods. The kitchen could be better given the standard the hotel aspire to, with longer room service hours (it closes at 9). Ideally the minibar would also be stocked with treats. But overall a very rare find in an area of Holland which has few quality hotels.

Came here for dinner and training, so didn't get to stay in. The conference rooms are almost underground, which is not great but this is a historic building, so I'm not judging it by this. Breakfast and dinner were superb. Lunch from the buffet is too Dutch; I'm not a big fan. The location is excellent and pretty dreamy.

A beautifull palace with an amazing garden. Staff is nice in general. The room was clean, with the basics but design wise does not match the place. The lowest of the visit was that we had 2 dinners and although the food quality was great it took 2 full hours to be served...with small portions...we reserved and ordered around 19:30 and the first dished arrived around at 21 :30. Breakfast area and bar are quite nice will a lot of different food offering and great quality that is definitly on the positive side. . It is also a nice place for an event with nice rooms. Overall it is too expensive for what it offers, but a definite must visit with a huge potential.

First of all, I should point out that the concept of this hotel is very different from others, so I do not know how accurate it would be to compare it with others in terms of price performance. This is a very enjoyable and relaxing castle, its location is not close to the center of Amsterdam, but it is a very peaceful location. There is free parking and there are only 2 electric charging stations. It is difficult to find availability, but you can charge your car. There were no facilities such as a refrigerator or slippers in the room, but it was a warm environment. It was the first time I stayed in such a different place and it was a nice experience. A great team works at the hotel, they are all very friendly. I extend my greetings to all the staff, especially the reception.

Be in a dream state as a King. One of the least known superb hotel and restaurant. Warning: reservations are a requirement. Also just for a meal. Very nice young staff with real smiles and joy in their work.

This place is a real life fairytale- so authentic, very cosy and it breathes history and arts! We stayed for the Christmas night, including gastronomic dinner with bubbles. But especially loved the huge Christmas tree in the lobby and sitting by the fireplace. Loved the spa too! And the real art in the room

We stayed at the Landgoed for two nights. The appearance is very authentic, just like on the pictures. The service was very nice. We were especially charmed by the spa. The saunas and relaxing area were very clean and stylish, it was a nice atmosphere. The breakfast offered a broad variety of options, a great start for a walk into the nearby woods.

Very royal, very classy but I don't think the property is geared for large events like weddings. Seemed understaffed at crucial times like banquets. The place by itself is in a lovely quiet area with a lot of greens and open spaces around.

We stayed for one night and overall left with mixed feelings. The area, hotel itself, rooms and spa were great - definitely authentic and unique. However, we were disappointed by the overall service: 1.We had lunch at the restaurant- staff was very polite but overall service was very slow - we had to stay for 40 minutes until our food arrived (we ordered sandwiches) 1. We payed for the classic suite but the heating wasn’t working and the room was cold. We had to ask twice and be more proactive so the staff could bring us a separate heater (broken by the way) 2. According to the leaflet information left in the room, the room service is available until 10:00PM however we weren’t informed in advance that the kitchen closes at 9pm so we couldn’t order dinner (we couldn’t go to the restaurant because it was fully booked - they did inform us about that) 3.When we checked out at 11:00am there was nowhere in the hotel where we could get a coffee until 12:00pm when the restaurant opens which was also strange to us. (There is breakfast until 11 on a weekend but we only wanted coffee.) In conclusion, money spent doesn’t match the experience for such a luxurious place.

Visited this lovely gracious old property as part of a bicycle trip. We only stayed one night and I regret not having more time to explore the grounds. Upstairs rooms were big and pleasant and the restaurant pulled off a pink lychee nut dessert that blew our minds.

Beautiful small castle and grounds. Probably the most beautiful hotel I have ever been in. Former property of AbnAmrp. Located in Nature Park Kennemerland. No dogs allowed in the Nature Park. Great start for hikes and bike tours.

A 4 because the place needs some minor fixes and maintanance (I guess they will take care of it by Spring / Summer time). Had a lovely stay here for the weekend.

This is a beautiful facility in a stunning setting. The architects did an excellent job of designing modern and comfortable lodging and conference facility while preserving the rural charm of this building.

Beautiful location, friendly staff and rooms with character. Although the presentation of the food was great, it wasn't much to write home about taste wise.
