Beautiful meandering river in a Dutch landscape. The stretch between Loenen aan de Vecht and Breukelen is especially idyllic with old country houses. Plenty of opportunities for water sports and you can enjoy walking along the old towpath along the banks.

Beautiful river, running from Utrecht to Muiden where the Vecht flows into the Zuiderzee, sorry Ijsselmeer. While sailing you will see towns and villages such as Maarssen, Breukelen, Loenen, Vreeland and Weesp and lots of greenery. The course of the Vecht is also easy to follow by bicycle or car and you can see the many estates from the street side.

Beautiful meandering river. Ideal for water sports. The Vecht starts at the Weerdsluis in the city of Utrecht and flows into the IJmeer near Muiden. The Vecht has a length of approximately 42 km.

Fantastic boating area with beautiful mansions on the shore. There are many towns and villages worth visiting that you should visit. For me one of the most beautiful areas in NL.

Beautiful place

Last Easter we took a boat trip through Vecht from Utrecht to Weesp. The places around the river and on its banks are very picturesque! Strongly recommend to those who'd like to enjoy the countryside, little villages and castles from the water. Boats probably can be rented somewhere at Loodsdrecht.
