Small and very clean motel, under new management. Very convenient location, we had the advantage of enjoying the view of the boardwalk and the beach directly from from our room (but also viewable from the porch) The owners are very responsive and always around, very accommodating, striving to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Everything was as described. We took advantage of the outdoor shower to wash the sand off of our feet and the kitchenette to prepare our meals. Well stocked with pots, coffee maker, full size refrigerator, toaster, utensils. Wall A/C in our room.

Honest review: PROS — location is good, rooms are clean, staff is friendly, and they allow dogs. CONS: very small room, limited parking, and zero hot water. That was a big one, which left me frustrated. I got the impression that the owners had a seasoned awareness that their rooms have no hot (or even warm water) and they have decided NOT to buy a new boiler and NOT tell customers ahead of time. So if you don’t mind cold showers, it’s fine. We made the best of it and still had a good time.

The room was dated, filthy, the bathroom was awful. Lamp was broken. Stained furniture. An outlet missing a faceplate, which was not safe for the infant I had with me. No where for dogs to go to the bathroom. I was given 1 parking spot that was really tiny and I had to worry my car would get side swiped due to other cars coming and going.

It's a place to sleep, relax and pause for the day. Pet friendly. My only concern/ disappointment was parking is first come, first serve "IF" there is an available spot. otherwise,you will be provided parking a block or two away from a sister hotel nearby. Overall good experience though. Be prepared or mindful in regards to parking, also spotty or poor dish/ cable TV service.

The owners are extremely friendly and accommodated to our needs ASAP. Excellent location, across the street from the boardwalk and beach. Also, a lot to do in the area within walking distance. Spacious 2 bedroom apartment with lots of amenities. Loved that it was pet friendly. Off street parking, in your own designated area. I would definitely go back..

This is a hidden gem, and right in front of beach entrance! Wonderful property owners, warm and accommodating! Rooms are spotless, and service with a smile. My family and I will definitely return, a wonderfully run, and comfortable property. I understand it was recently updated, we love it here! And did I mention? Pet friendly!

My partner and I visited the Rio Motel in May. It was an excellent location to wildwood beach and the boardwalk. The hotel room met our needs. I was glad to have a hotel room with a kitchenette, it allowed us to prepare meals in our room. The room was also clean. We had no issues at the Rio Motel and staff were very friendly. I will highly recommend.

Great location right across from the beach. The room was clean and we were able to check in early. Easy walk to boardwalk, dog park, Wawa, restaurants, and bike rental. Owner were very easy to contact with any questions. We bought our lab puppy who loved laying on deck to people watch.

Aj who helped us was very helpful, friendly & accommodating in a last minute situation. We had reservations @ another place which was so nasty we had to cancel. Aj hooked us up with a very nice & clean place that allowed pets. We were in a bad situation because it was a holiday weekend & its next to impossible to find a place especially with a pet last minute. We would definitely stay here again. Great location and wonderful service from Aj! Needed to take a very short walk to check-in (one block). The room had two beds, a TV, a small stove, full fridge, a coffee maker, a kitchen sink, and bathroom with a separate sink. Would absolutely come here again! Paid about $10 extra to get the corner room with a view of the boardwalk and beach!

Great location right in front of the convention center and so much cleaner and more updated than I ever would have expected, especially considering they accommodate pets - you'd honestly never know. I was very pleasantly surprised. AJ was very nice too. Highly recommend!

We spent 4 days in the front suite. Perfect size for 3 adults with 2 kids. Loved the front porch facing the Wildwoods sign. Impeccably clean. Bathroom had been recently updated and it was so nice, especially the shower. AJ couldn't have been more accommodating. Parking was tight but manageable. Usually this would be the quieter part of town, but this wasn't the case with the VW convention. It can be tough to get a rental in a WW motel big enough for a family, but Rio came through. Highly recommended.

Nice rooms and we had a window looking at the ocean and boardwalk. AJ was incredibly nice and accommodating. It's near the crest side of the boardwalk so it's a little further to the main activities, like piers, but it's also a bit quieter.

Clean room with modern remodel and fixtures. Right on the beach and 5 minute walk to basically everything in the heart of Wildwood. Limited parking as other reviews mentioned, so I had to park at the Rus-Mar Motel (they give you a parking pass). Aj was friendly and accommodating. Thank you!

I stayed at the Riu Antilles in Aruba. Loved everything about it from the activities, staff, service, and the food. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. Love the fact you could walk to the Riu Palace as well. I wanted to give a special shout out to Roshelle she went above and beyond to be accommodating. Love this place making plans on returning soon.

Great for wildwood! Pros: location!, Modern touches in room, Aj at front desk was very nice, beds fine, shower good! Cons: parking is dicey, no pool, if you care about that
