It is a really nice and clean place with very friendly staff. We had a lot of fun and were able to extend the time by an hour a few mins ahead. The axes 🪓 are not too heavy like in other places and also they have a fun competitive score card to make the place interesting as well. As they also offer beverages and snacks there is a checkbox on that reason as well. In short definitely a worth visit and must go if you want to relax and blow off some steam.

This is a fun spot to go with a group of friends or even just a partner. Great place to have some fun try a new thing and possibly be great at it. The instructor we had was very helpful and nice. He was informative and even provided us with a better deal by recommending my group of 7 to take a party package which was cheaper then paying individually. He even let us throw the long axe once at the end, 10/10 service! I hope you see this! This my second time here, I will definitely be comming back again! Also, from my personal experience my first time was absolutely trash I barely even landed the axe on the board. But with my most recent visit I guess it was muscle memory and I landed the majority of my hits!

Came here over the weekend for a birthday gathering. It was my first time ever and it was extremely fun! The employees are super friendly and really add to the fun. You can purchase drinks but also bring your own snacks in with you. At the very end of your session one of the employees shows you a bunch of tricks and it's pretty cool! Would recommend for families(mostly adults, also young adults, not really children) and groups of friends! Try going with a big group because it gets pretty tiring if you throw for a long time. If you go with more people it allows for a steady flow of playing and social interaction. Overall a great experience! I'd come back in an instance.

Came to throw axes for the first time! We did the Party Pack which also came with 6 drinks. It’s crazy how quick an hour can fly by when you’re having so much fun! The coaches were great and always nearby to ensure your safety and provide tips when correcting your form of throwing. I highly recommend coming to this location! Also the parking is super spacious and the lobby has really nice back drops for pictures too! Thank you BATL Pickering for making our first time experience memorable 🥰

I take part in leagues at this venue and I always have a great time. I recently took my mom and my step-dad to this venue for a casual axe throwing event; both had a lot of fun! The staff were helpful and encouraging to my mom and step-dad, who were both new to the sport!

I went here with my colleges for a Holiday party celebration and it was an absolute blast! We booked two axe throwing targets and got a chance to both practice and compete against each other. The facility here is very well maintained and the staff are trained to make sure you are having safe and fun experience. I love how competitive the game can get and how you start to pick up on the nuances of the axe throwing so fast. Since I had an incredible experience here, I'll be sure to continue to come back!

Our BNI Momentum group from Whitby decided to have a networking event at BATL Axe Throwing in February and we all had a fantastic time! This provided our group with a great opportunity to sharpen their connections with one another while letting their competitive edge shine with axe throwing. For this event we chose the BATL Premium (which included a coach and trainer, a managed tournament for our group and a chance to throw the "'BIG AXE" which our members loved). Thanks to BATL Axe for a great fun filled evening and we look forward to our next visit!

My wife planned a 2 hour premium package for my 49th birthday. We had a total of 6 people in our group. None of us had thrown an axe before. From the moment we came in we were greeted by a wonderful man in a kilt ( I'm sorry I forgot his name) , who made us feel comfortable and very excited for what was ahead of us. We had our safety briefing, and our instructions were done by Kal( or Cal). He was such a vibrant and entertaining instructor. We played a round robin format and then on to brackets. The place is very clean and well looked after. The bar is very reasonable and all contained on one floor. I will definitely be back.

Great place to go for date night, came as one beginner and one amateur. Staff was very nice and welcoming and made learning for beginners very easy with help coming whenever the staff see you struggling, made the experience all the better. Been here with a large group in the past as well and had fun both times. If you feel you won't be good don't worry, very positive vibes from the staff and other attendees, would definitely come again.

Six of us had get together on Jan 24th… we had a fabulous time!! Treated amazingly.. lots of laughs.. Dan was fabulous with his instructions.. the facilities were perfect for an enjoyable evening! Highly recommend to all..

A group of 4 of us went on a Friday night after having dinner and drinks and had a blast for a 2hr session. The staff was amazing and showed us all how to throw the axes the "proper" way and explained the scoring system. We had an absolute blast, but I'm convinced that the staff gave our wives a bit of "insider trading" info as they had no issue landing more targets than their lesser half's lol..Great staff, great fun. Will definitely be back.

First time here and had a great time. The coaches was really nice and helpful getting us set up. I couldn’t get the hang of it at first but got a bit more help from the coaches after which made it more fun. The place is quite big and looks like they do big groups too. They also have a bar which was also pretty good!

Our visit at BATL was Exhilarating! The Pickering location had a rustic ambiance with a great and energetic vibe. Kevin was our instructor for the evening, he was knowledgeable and safety-conscious, but also super fun! Overall, it was a unique and thrilling activity. We will certainly be back : )

Can't say enough about the positive experience had at BATL. I organized our staff holiday party and the entire team at BATL were incredibly responsive, they answered all my questions, and made getting organized a breeze. On the night of our event there wasn't a single staff member who didn't go out of their way to be friendly and engaging. The coaches were great, we felt so well taken care of. I really can't say enough about the staff, they went above and beyond to help us have a great night. Highly, highly recommend.

My children decided we should do something different tthis year to end the summer, so we went to BATL in Pickering. It was an AWESOME EXPERIENCE. The staffs are very nice, very polite and very helpful. They even give you tIpss on how to enhance your throwing experience while competing against each other. It was lots of fun and we LOVED it. Loads of fun! The coaches are great, very friendly and helpful. They have a unique selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, and you can bring in your own food!! Don't forget to wear close toed shoes. So much fun!

I visited BATL in Pickering with a group of work colleagues for an event. It was my first time Axa throwing. What am amazing experience. The place is huge, we’ll organized, great staff and super fun. Would recommend for anyone.

The staff were super friendly and courteous. They took the time to explain how to properly throw and worked with you until you got the form correct. The faculties are clean, there is a bar with some snacks (chips and chocolate bars) available to purchase, and the alcohol is reasonably priced I had a great first experience and I will definitely return to this location!

The place is wonderful It's inside a business complex Should go for the experience atleast once. It's interesting and fun with a large group of people. The place has opened recently and is still expanding on the other side of the play area. Good indoor activity. Covid restrictions followed throughout. Vaccine proof and ID required. Food and snacks available at the place to enjoy it with the game Ample parking available.
