Came here for my birthday dinner. The place was really packed and busy due to it being a Saturday night. But it did take a couple of minutes before a hostess greeted us and our table wasn't ready yet. I think it took about 20 minutes or so until we were seated. Our waiter also took a while to come around to us but he was fine. Again, I understand it was a busy night. The place was a little loud, which is a little uncomfortable since my friends and I were semi-yelling to each other at the table. The food was great. Not too fond of the calamari but the steak was yummy and perfectly cooked. My boyfriend also enjoyed the cod. I got a free brownie and ice cream with a sparkler for my birthday so that was nice. Overall, a good solid 3/5 but plus one for the birthday brownie.

Amazing place. It was a full house. Staff was extremely friendly but service was extremely efficient. The food was on point 👌 Julian, the general manager, was very friendly. Very polite and had a quick short conversation with him. Would love to come again as we have other foods we want to try. We ordered the: - Truffle Fries - Rosemary Focaccia - Brick Chicken - Alfredo

Delicious food and great service. The garlic aioli was amazing, and that’s just a dip! Had the chicken pizza, my wife had jerk chicken. We found the food to be well made, fast and the service was on point. It’s a very pretty outside patio, on the water of course. We’ll be back to Port for sure.

Loved the quality of food. The Brussels sprouts are to die for! The steak definitely satisfied my craving, being served with horseradish and mustard was a nice touch. Service was great and awesome atmosphere. For the price point, I would’ve liked a larger portion of food (we had two appetizers and one main per person between four people) and still had room to spare after our meals.

Caesar Salad had way too much dressing and you need a knife. The lettuce pieces are long. Pizza isn't special. Wood Oven is about it. Greens were terrible. The smoked brick Chicken was tasty. Bacon wrapped filet was one of the best I've ever had. Cooked perfectly. Very tasty. The double baked potato was bland and dry. Brutal. Over priced restaurant. Beer selection is brutal and alcohol beverages over priced. They have 3 pop options lol. Service was good. Nice view of you get a table by the lake. 3 star rating

The food here is excellent. The staff & management were very pleasant and helpful. And the location is possibly the best in Durham region. All in all, a wonderful experience.

Recently visited PORT and had the most wonderful experience! From the staff to the food to the ambiance.. it was all amazing. Our waitress’ name was Ray- she was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our experience spectacular. She made a strawberry drink based on what I told her I liked, and it was so delicious I ordered 2 more! The food was great and the staff checked in to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. I recommend the Margherita Pizza, as it was cooked to perfection and was probably the best Margherita pizza I’ve ever had. Lastly, the restaurant itself it so beautifully decorated and has a real high class vibe. Thank you Ray for making our night one to remember!

Such an awesome place to be. Beautiful ambiance. The staff is so friendly and delicious food. It's a bit pricy but it's worth it. The wood smoke barbeque chicken pizza is a must try for pizza lovers. I also enjoyed the California cut striplion and the smashed potato that comes with it is outstanding.

Great location by the lake. Service is a pass, no complains. Both fish dishes were a bit on the salty side based on my companions comment. I had jerk chicken which was quite decent. The fried Brussels sprouts appetizer was definitely the star. Food a tad pricey for me but a very nice place for special occasions.

Went for ladies' dinner date.. Amazing ambiance and excellent food.. choice is limited for veg and chicken dishes, but the ones available totally satisfies taste buds.. Prosciutto Flatbread and Warm Roasted Red pepper and Spinach Dip are must tries.. Fried Brussels Sprouts and Margharita Pizza are good as well. Blueberry Mule and Coconut Margarita virgin version and are pretty good.. We went for a long stroll along the lake side after dinner, which perfectly justifies Eat and Burn.. Parking is a little tricky. There is additional parking on otherside of the road as well.

Calamari was fresh and exceptional. The ribeye was cooked perfectly. The Ceaser salad was over seasoned with dressing but was ok. If you order it just ask for the dressing on the side. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere and weather was perfect.

Came in on a Thursday night, service was great and the food was also fantastic. Waitress we had was perfect and the one of the best cocktails we had in a while. Definitely will be coming back again. Very nice view on the lake, can't wait to experience it in the summer!

First time going here. Just out for the evening, sat on the patio it was a beautiful afternoon. Menu is short and sweet. We had the pineapple pizza (yes 🍍 goes on pizza!!!) , popcorn shrimp (it was a bit salty) but still good and the spicy sausage pasta. Dessert, brownie and the vanilla ice which is amazing real vanilla ice cream.

The wait staff were seriously top notch. Helpful, on time, kind, courteous, polite and personable. The food was also amazing. The fried chicken sandwich is huge and delicious and the brick chicken was also Devine. The venue was a little too loud for conversation amongst our four top table but we decided just to yell like everyone else. :)

We had a lovely dinner here last night. The view is awesome and the whole thing was an experience. Only reason for the 4 stars is the “cake plating fee” wish we had known that before bringing the cake. Otherwise it’s a lovely restaurant. Would return but not for a while

Loved it. Even post lockdown the food ambiance and service was exceptional. We will visit again and have been reommending it to everyone! Visited August 19/21 A perfect day to enjoy lunch on the water ! The service as always was exceptional. Alexis (I know this is the wrong spelling)and Julian were friendly and on point with their suggestions. The truffle fries were AMAZING and we also had a chance to try out the tuna tar tar. However, we for sure chose better main dishes last time. We had the brick chicken and salmon last time accompanied with the calamari a white wine sangria and a local citrus craft beef. Everything was sooo good. This time around, we took a few daring chances. We went with the truffle fries, tuna tar tar, cod fish, and pineapple pulled pork pizza. We aren't giving up on PORT though and we already know what we going to order next time .Definitely thinking about trying the cheeseburger, chicken burger shrimp roll, amd salads. We will for sure get the TRUFFLE FRIES. it was also nice enjoying the views and trying new dishes that we normally wouldn't.

The view is nice, but overall, quite disappointing. Bugs constantly flying into your food or drink. To start, we had the artichoke dip which was tasty. However, avoid the pepperoni pizza as it was sooooooo greasy and honestly it was overkill with the pepperoni, less is more, a cliche but true in this situation. My wife’s Canadian pizza was much better and better tasting. Overall, for the price and quality of the food, not worth it.

This is a hidden gem... The surroundings are beautiful (right on the water), the food is spectacular, presented and portioned perfectly and the wait staff and management are next level. They were all extremely attentive and welcoming. Service was prompt and efficient and the atmosphere was terrific. We'll certainly be back

Great portions and excellent decor. I had the pot roast and my date had the pizza. Both were good. I didn't give it a 5, because the food was good, but not mind-blowing. Had a very good experience with their staff. Very friendly and accommodating! Their patio is absolutely killer! I can imagine the place being incredible during warmer months. We were only there for a shirt time as it was late, but I intend to go back. I recommend for people in the east end of the GTA.

Visited for my boyfriends birthday just us two for a 6pm reservation. It was a first for the both of us and we will certainly be returning. The restaurant itself is small yet spacious with high ceilings. The food was Delish- we had the fried chicken sandwich which was very tender and flavourful, along with the sausage fettuccine which was amazing. If you’re looking for a sweeter cocktail, the Rose Margarita was perfect. Highly recommend and Cassie was an amazing server!

Went here for a birthday, food was delicious! We split the rosemary focaccia and the roasted red pepper and spinach dip, they were so yummy and lots to eat. Getting our food was a little slow but our waitress was really nice. Parking is awful, very minimal parking so we had to find nearby neighbourhood parking (but the restaurant is by the waterfront so naturally the parking sucks).

Delicious meal, beautiful inside, clean and elegant style. I’ve been here for dinner and most recently this past weekend for a birthday party - my in-laws booked a private room which was nice and private and I was able to let my one year old run around. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We had both the brunch menu and dinner menu, I ended up ordering from the dinner menu. It was a great time, good place to celebrate a birthday. Also great views, it would be great to eat outside in the summer!

Port Restaurant is a great place to bring visitors from out of town and enjoy the lakeside view. The place was not busy when we went and we were greeted by the hosts and seated promptly. The waitress was conversational and friendly, everything you like in a waitress and she brought our orders piping hot or cold as required. I would come back

This restaurant never disappoints! Beautiful and comfy, well-priced, and you can’t beat the location by the water. This day I came for brunch and had the sausage hash and the winter sangria. Both very tasty!

The chicken and waffles at this establishment truly exemplify the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spice. The crispy yet tender fried chicken, nestled atop a fluffy waffle, creates a delightful juxtaposition of textures. The sweet syrup drizzled over the dish harmoniously mingles with the savory notes of the chicken, while a subtle hint of spice adds an exciting depth of flavor. It's a symphony of tastes that leaves your palate utterly satisfied. As for the breakfast burger, it's a true masterpiece with a patty that's been seasoned to perfection. The combination of flavors is nothing short of spectacular. The burger's juiciness is complemented by the well-chosen blend of spices that enhance the meat's natural taste. The first bite is a journey of taste sensations, and each subsequent bite is equally gratifying. These dishes are a testament to the culinary artistry of the chef, and they leave a lasting impression that keeps you coming back for more.

The food was very good here, solid all around. We went on a nice day as well so the view outside was really nice. The salad we got was okay and so was the truffle mushroom pizza. I've definitely had better elsewhere but it wasn't bad. The chicken sandwich was definitely our favourite thing though. We'd definitely come again for dinner service.

Amazing location and views. Service is decent. We didn’t have any complaints but not much to praise either. Server just did her job. For appetizers, I tried the calamari and it was so good! The bolognese was alright. I wasn’t disappointed but wasn’t too impressed either. My friends had burgers - crab and Port burgers and they really liked those. The fries that came with the burgers were really good.

Beautiful location. The food was delicious and our server was so friendly and kind. A bit of a limited menu (which I totally understand due to COVID), but it would be so wonderful to see them open up more seafood options. This was a treat!

The setting of the restaurant by a marina is lovely. There is indoor seating as well as a patio in the back, by the water, with views of boats nearby. The food was okay, but they didn't have kid-friendly food, nor other activities like colouring sheets or crayons etc. Also the portions were not generous for the price, for example, the artichoke dip is barely enough for one, let alone share with others in your group. Our waiter was friendly and fast. If you're from out of town, then the trip to the city is worth it by itself because the area reminded me of the east coast with a very nautical vibe.

I was recently here for my birthday and had a great time! Beautiful views of the water and the restaurant itself is beautiful. The food was delicious, the Prosciutto flatbread was SO good and soft, the Andouille Sausage Agnolotti was absolutely amazing. Everything was flavourful and seasoned well and service was great. Overall 10/10!

We came here for my mom's birthday the past weekend. Service was good (if slow) and our waitress was friendly and polite, even suggesting that we get a complimentary birthday dessert. We had a group of 10 so we split up into two tables on the patio, which was fine by us, since the tables were next to each other. Just a warning tho, there were tons of wasps everywhere. If you're allergic or don't want to deal with that, I recommend sitting inside. Some issues we noticed, and that don't make sense for such an expensive restaurant, were the slowness and forgetfulness. We were sitting at our tables for at least 10 minutes before we were given menus. One of our tables wasn't provided cutlery even after the food arrived, and we had to ask otherwise they wouldn't have noticed. When the food arrived, the servers were mixing up the dishes between the tables, even though our waitress confirmed that she wanted to make sure we were all seated in the correct spots so the food would be placed correctly. As for the food itself, I wouldn't recommend the mushroom pizza because it was way too heavy (probably due to the béchamel) and salty. I only had two slices before I couldn't take it anymore. It was also not crispy (the bottom was floppy/mushy). The prime rib was cooked well done?? The fish dishes were good, but I think they should provide more than just a pile of beans for the salmon to make it more interesting. I wanna say I liked the birthday brownie. And I did, although it was definitely way too sweet (and I have a sweet tooth), until my sister told me after we left the restaurant that she found two hairs in it. (She only told me secretly so as not to ruin everyone else's birthday mood.) I did notice her pick something out of the brownie at the time, but I thought it was just a fluff floating in the wind. The worst part is that she said one looked like a pube. Of course we're not gonna die from this, and the brownie was free anyway, but it's pretty nasty still

I would love to start this review by saying if I were to rate my experience here as 10/10, it would be a huge understatement. It was 100000/10. It was my first time going to Port and when I arrived, I thought both the outside and inside looked absolutely beautiful. I can only imagine what the patio looks like in the summer time so will definitely be back to see for myself. I was celebrating my birthday with a group of girlfriends. The restaurant has an upscale feel for special occasions but not too overly priced in comparison to downtown Toronto restaurant options. *Please skip ahead if you just want to know about food. My server Julian M did a PHENOMENAL job. He took very good care of the group. Our drinks/water were always topped up, he made recommendations from the menu, and most importantly, moved us to a better table when we saw a nicer one available. I didn't think anything was wrong with my first table but little did I know that some of my closest friends were working together with Julian to help my bf propose to me! I can't thank Julian and his manager enough for making my night a magical one that will stick with me for the rest of my life!!! I will seriously consider having my wedding festivities here because of the great service. Even if it wasn't for this amazing moment, I would highly recommend this restaurant. The drinks were great (I enjoyed a Rosé and some Champagne). The food was incredible. Our table enjoyed the Pesto Prawn, Atlantic Salmon, California Cut Striploin 10oz, the Rib Eye, Fried Chicken Sandwich and Truffle Mushroom Pizza (some more from the group ordered the same meals). All of us were really happy with these dishes because of their flavour and portion sizes. For dessert I recommend the brownie with ice cream and caramel sauce on top. It was decadent and very tasty. (See photos uploaded with this review). Overall, this location is gorgeous, the ambiance is fantastic, the music was great, the pricing of the menu has a good range/is affordable, the staff are beyond amazing, the restaurant is very clean and the food is incredible. FYI, it is opened past 9pm. Do yourself a favour and try this restaurant out. It is a Durham Gem!

Love everything about this place - location, food, drinks, views. This has to be my favourite place in the whole of Durham Region. Definitely a must visit. ——— Make sure you make a reservation before you go and arrive early as the parking space is limited. It can get pretty crowded over the weekends.

  • 4/5 Irina V. 1 year ago on Google
Very interesting & unique menu! I had Atlantic Salmon and it was super good! I also tried broccoli & pizza Margarita. I am giving this restaurant 4 stars, not 5 because of the service. Hostesses there are too "computerized", and they just have no clue how to handle 5 minutes waiting list. ... hospitality is a service industry. And it is all about service. *View is magical!

  • 4/5 Joe C. 1 year ago on Google
Food and service were great. The view and atmosphere is also amazing. The only disappointment for our dinner is the grilled whole seabream. While it tasted good, it has no sides and the portion is more like an appetizer. Definitely not expected that for over $40. Pizza was great and so were other dishes. Just don't get the grilled whole seabream.

Port is a beautiful restaurant that is warm and inviting. I've been coming to Port for several years and the food keeps getting better and better. Port has a fantastic menu of delicious food;my faves are parmesan truffle fries, pasta and mushroom pizza (btw it was so good we ate it all before the pic could be taken). Port has phenomenal a general manager and equally dope staff that make you feel welcomed. Perfect spot to share with my family visiting from the UK and best friend 😉 Looking forward to my next visit! This at a private business luncheon for our real estate brokerage. I cannot ever recall coming to this restaurant before, but these were the individual meals chosen at our table. Many Thanks to our host REMAX Rouge River Realty Ltd., for putting together such an AWESOME meal for all who attended.
