I felt that I needed to make a post about the experience I had today at the Hants Community Windsor Hospital. Was the wait long? Yep! Where there many people there? It was unbelievably packed! Did I get frustrated? Just a tad. But I have to thank the ALL of the staff at HCH for the excellent care I received from Dr. Ahmad and the sweetest nurses ever. They didn't rush me in and out and I felt that the care I received was top notch. They were kind, understanding and thorough. Dr. Ahmad is one of the main reasons of why that hospital has been opened as much as they have been and I'm so very greatful. My hat goes off to the doctors, nurses, cleaning staff who are obviously tired but are still greeting each patient with a smile on their face. And just giving them your thanks and showing your gratitude certainly helps them get through these tough times with our Healthcare System. It goes along way when you're kind and makes such a difference in someone's day....who is trying to give there best. I truly hope Dr. Ahmad and his team get to see this. They really need to be recognized. πŸ™‚

The paramedics did more for me than the doctors. They wanted to discharge me a couple of hours after I arrived at the hospital without doing any tests or analysis; even though I was in excruciating pain and was unable to move or even walk. I had to nearly collapse on the floor while trying to get up for them to finally realise how serious my situation was.

This hospital consistently employs the most incompetent doctors and nurses I’ve ever dealt with in my life. This hospital is notoriously understaffed and the staff that do work here are rude, insensitive, incompetent. They are woefully unprepared for Covid related admittances. Sad and pathetic. Avoid this hospital if possible.

Great staff and people but really needs to be updated. The community it serves has grown and being closed sometimes is not right. It needs a bigger parking lot. Better signage inside and out. More doctors. Also if it had a pharmacy inside that would be great. The surrounding areas should also be developed so maybe people that this hospital can attract more people to work and live here. Just a thought. Windsor and West Hants is growing.

I have been waiting for so long it takes so long I broke my finger and I have been sitting her for hours NEVER come here there has been 12 doctors walk by and no doctors have helped anyone and there is only 1 doctor that is doing his job like if your gonna be a running hospital then make it so you don't have to wait 3 hours just to go in the room for 4 minutes and they say there is nothing wrong with you and just get blood work never ever will I come here again

They lost my moms hearing aid. $1500.00 they better start looking or there going to replace it. She’s bed ridden so she didn’t take off with it.

Absolutely terrible emergency room. After waiting 6.5 hours, I left with the physician telling me exercise and Tylenol would fix the inflammation in my joints. I'm 34, fit and healthy. A walk in clinic the next day sent me for bloodwork and started meds for an infection. Don't waste your time.

Came in for one appointment dropped in early to also address an abdominal pain . Good thing too. Ended up transported to QEII . Awesome staff got me sorted . ER staff were quick and EHS bless them had to put up with me for probably 4hrs before admitting could take me. Great team . Service is always quick and appreciated. Yes recovered and Just there again yesterday and today ...... Racking up frequent flyer miles suddenly.

Information services ambassador was very polite and pleasant. She attentively directed us where we needed to go. Went in for a simple concern. Was in and out within an hour. While we were waiting to be called in to see the doctor, my daughter started to get fussy. The lady at the registration desk let us borrow one of her pens so my daughter could draw some pictures to pass the time. Simple kindness and compassion like this goes a long way πŸ’•

I was here twice this week. Rhonda Cox in X-ray/ultrasound department was extremely helpful in setting up my second appointment. I was canceled from Kentville Hospital due to their electrical problems. Rhonda was able to arrange for an almost immediate ultrasound appointment for me. She certainly went beyond what most people do. I want to thank her very much. I hope her manager/supervisor knows what a valuable employee she is.

A pretty decent experience all considered. 🀦 Always a bit of a wait, but overall the cafeteria is good, staff are friendly, facilities appear to be semi-modern and the place is clean at a glance, but no hospital is really clean. The only recommendation I hope you don't have to visit. Stay safe :)

Hubby and I love this hospital . The staff is always so friendly and helpful , lots of parking , they take such great care of our 95 year old grandmother , short wait times in the emergency department. We can’t say enough about it , so grateful to have them near by .

At Christmas my kidney was shutting down. The doctor prescribed the wrong medication and said he doesn't know what's wrong with me. Even though I gave a history of kidney problems. It's always freezing there and takes all day just to get in. It's a band and station. Save yourself and go to Kentville or the city instead. Half of the time they are closed anyways.
