I ordered a chicken souvlaki platter and the tuna ahi bowl on Skip the Dishes tonight from Saffron's. The picture below is what I received. The description on Skip includes a side salad, lemon and multiple skewers, but I received this. One skewer and maybe 20 fries, no salad or anything else that I expected to receive. The ahi bowl was also bad enough that it did not even get finished. Terrible ordering experience. I understand that these are challenging times and I'm trying to support local, but this was so bad I had to make my first ever Google Review. Maybe try another local establishment for your meal.

The service was very poor considering the place wasn’t too busy, I have been in the service industry before and the server wasn’t welcoming or helpful at all and had a lack of communication skills. This place is also very expensive which would not be a problem to me if the service was better. I hate to leave a bad review but I left feeling as though we weren’t welcome there. Appetizer was forgotten until mentioned and our drinks took forever which would have been fine if we weren’t presented our drinks with a “your drink took so long to make” instead of an apology. Why pay for a place that makes you feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Will not be going again.

We sat outside on the patio. The cocktails were good, but the glasses were not too pleasing to the eye due to its condition (scratches, stained base.) We were not offered any water and had to ask the waitress a few times to bring us some. Our entrees came out before our appetizer and we had to ask multiple times again when it would be coming out. The food quality was not the best either. My burger bun was soggy, and it wasn’t assembled too well. The calamari was bland and had no seasoning. We waited a good 25-30 minutes for our bills and for the machine to pay.

It was a late dinner after peak hours, barely anyone there, yet it took a while for anyone to serve us & our order took a long time to get which was disappointing. Food however was so delicious and quality, so I recommend come ready to wait & spend $$ if you go. Prices are pretty steep so good to stick w/food you can share. The food was good, but pricey for a family to eat there. Overall, would only go for special occasions.

Sorry for this one. Stopped in for a birthday dinner for a friend from out of town. With a fullish patio we decided sit inside, but there is no way that would have be an excuse for the service. Being the only people inside and having dinner with drinks and appetizers, we had really hoped to get the service the bill would have entailed with 5 guests. Drinks came randomly, refills just didn't happen, appetizers came out with the entries and unfortunately all the things you don't want out of a meal. "Over cooked", "lukewarm at best", "pretty sure that was the cheapest NY strip but that didn't matter because the guy wouldn't know how to cook it" and "how was the best part the chicken fingers?" I hope you review this with your staff because this is the services industry and your guests deserve better for what they are paying for. This coming from a chef for 6 years and a server for 2 years. Step it up.

A good place to eat, not phenomenal. I will say the yam fries were actually phenomenal, the absolute best part of the meal. We had the seared tuna to start and it was good, not phenomenal. All our entrés were good but I doubt we'd call any of them out of the ordinary. The service was excellent, it was a slow Saturday and we got all the attention. Nice atmosphere, although it looks a little tired. It's been around a long time so I suppose it's earned the right to look a little worn.

Deplorable Restaurant! The place has no proper lighting inside, The tables and chairs are old, sticky, just plain old and dirty. The food is expensive, quite bland and you leave hungry. Drinks were not much better. I had the Chicken Souvlaki, The fries were burnt and tasted like old oil, The chicken had a very off putting smell. Service is slow. The restaurant had a odd smell, like dirty old gym socks. I do not recommend.

Went with a small group of friends and had awful service. Waitress didn't ask if we needed anything while there was no salt, pepper or even condiments. 4 of us received our meals while one was forgotten about and nothing was done about it. Not a place I'd recommend!

I used to like this place a lot more than I do now. I can't quite put my finger on it. I think they reduced the portion sizes at some point, because the last time I went I remember feeling like I was way satisfied with the meal than the previous time. Also, the quality of the pasta dishes seems to have gone down over the years. Which is a shame, because they used to be one of the best.

I love it on the patio at Saffron's. Lots of people coming and going in the area. Service is quick and all staff are very pleasant and friendly. I had a cedar although it was very spicey I enjoyed it. My hubby had the dark beer and he liked it as well. Our food came out in a timely fashion and was good. I had just a little too much dressing on my Greek salad but it was edible and delicious. I would go back again. Love the area.

Went there for my birthday celebration. It was a terrible experience. Server was not pleasant nor should be in customer service. One meal was "forgotten" and took 30 mins to make a wrap. Instead of giving the item to us, it was thrown out. Server did not check on us at all, and was extremely rude when we raised our concerns. We will not be going here again. Such a shame as I used to really like it!

I heard their chef is amazing. Too bad I don't eat too much🤭 but I ate Ceasar salad in pretty much all the restaurants in Winnipeg, and this one I enjoyed the most😋 The patio season just started. I hope they'll put some effort into adding flowers and nicer setup. For now, it looks like work in progress.

Our server was inexperienced and made several rookie mistakes.. like awkwardly waiting for us to order while we were in the middle of a conversation. And then waiting for us to pay immediately after bringing us the bill (we weren't even done our food and drinks yet). Otherwise, I loved the patio and they have some nice food and drink selections.

This is just the right place for a family or friends evening out specially during the weekend, The atmosphere is nice and amusing, the service is very polite but on the slow side though, the salads are fresh and the toppings are on the right amount, the main courses are delicious specially the chicken wrap, many delicious and numerous cocktails.

Cocktails were good, although the glass was all scratched. The food was not good for the price...and the inside... it looked like if no one care to make it look good or cozy... we were place on a sticky table looking towards a fridge and right beside one of the chairs it was full of dishwasher trays. I used to like this place but not anymore.

I had a craving for Calamari, sadly this was inedible and not cheap. Should have read the reviews first.

Server was fantastic. The tables got a "light" dusting no liquid was used to clean the table. Appetizer was very yummy. The pizza had a long black hair in it. Call the first person over. Our server came and said a new one is in the oven and a discount will be applied. Ok had another beverage waiting for our pizza. Bill came with no discount . Mentioned to our server that there was a discount to be applied, manager said a replacement was made in lieu of a discount. Server is just in the middle. The manager should have addressed the situation. We did get a discount but our server had to go back to get the discount applied.

Great place, high quality food, friendly service and good atmosphere,will be back again

Very empty and looks like they have problems paying hydro bill because they have almost no lights. We had our phone flashlight to read the menu. Food is greasy, tasteless and overpriced. Drinks options are limited.

Stopped for lunch today didn't understand what a pizza with pepperoni was had to explain it over ten minutes. Ask for a peach drink got some kind of Is strawberry drink. Waited twenty minutes to get a refill on pop. There was literally 2 people eating there and we watched 3 other groups get up and leave. They waited twenty minutes to be seen for the first time at their table after seated. This place has definitely gone down hill!

Food is always mediocre. Only reason to go here is the patio. I had fish tacos. Clearly no one in the kitchen has eaten an authentic fish taco before. Hardly any fish, heavy hit of sour cream when they should have used crema, overall not a good taco. Burger week Johnny Cash burger was decent. Given the general quality of food and so-so service it’s a wonder this place is still open.

Went for Le Burger Week and they did not disappoint. I only have a small complaint regarding their serving staff. The host did not have a mask on or the person that served our waters. Our waitress also while wearing a mask, most of the time it was on her chin. Now we were on the patio but everywhere else I have eaten had during vivid, including patios, serving staff wore masks.

Best burger yet on Le Burger week, nice fresh burger meat, highly recommended!

This was a nice restaurant on Corydon Avenue. Wait staff were very friendly and our food came promptly. Food was average. Overall I have no complaints.

Great Caesar special on Sundays, and fries were done perfectly. My burger was a bit dry, but the salad I had was excellent.

Nadia made sure we got a table on the patio and was working hard to make sure everything was running smoothly. Filling in where needed.

Did not eat, just had cocktails. Those who had the Margaritas really liked them. Overall good experience.

I just want to say first and foremost, I am from another province and decided to visit this restaurant just by walking the street. With no reservation or information about Saffron's Restaurant, I am completely under exaggerating that the service and food and response went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend coming here for a night out or just a quick bite to eat. The friendly staff will serve you well and promptly. Only thing to keep in mind and be respectful with is current restrictions. If you have questions, feel free to ask. This restaurant has over 25 years of experience and business and they welcome to all. Thank you to the staff and I will be returning again soon.

Sat outside which was wonderful. Had their burger. Definitely a good size but the price and with just fries was too much, plus they charge for each refill. Staff were good and attentive.

We were originally going to go somewhere else but ended up here and the patio was nice but unfortunately VERY packed so we ended up on the other side where the next restaurant is( and super loud with Lots of weed fumes). But the waitress was great and the drinks made it worth it

Frys were done in old oil so they came out brown, server didn't know much about any of the item's we asked about, drinks were okay. My tuna appetizer was good though, just need to step it up on the service/kitchen side

This place has had great food for the many years I've been going there. The mussels are outta this world! Great patio and fun bevvys in the summer too! The patio gives a great view of the hustle n bustle that is Corydon Ave. It's fun part of town to wander and stop at various patios for food n drink. Go eat n drink here!

Loved the place, the lady who helped us was beyond nice and helpful, she made the visit extra special. The food was amazing! Cannot get over the seafood fettuccine and the santa fe pizza! The dessert was good yet I really want to try more of the options.

I had a pretty good time. The patio was crowded and the pole I the middle of our 2 person table was aggrevating. I thought that the food would take longer but it was very timely even when the place was packed. The food was the best part. A little expensive but the spicy penne bomb was so of the best, most flavourful pasta that I've ever had!

Got caught in an insane rainstorm and showed up to Saffrons DRENCHED ! staff were so accommodating and nice about it. Drinks are fun and reasonably priced. We had a great time even though we were soaked - thanks to our extra friendly server :•)

Great good! Excellent service! Wide selection and variety of Mediterranean food & tradional Greek. For decades this restaurant, famous for its patio has created many delectable memories and fun times. From my 18th birthday to a best friend’s welcome from overseas. This is a place you enjoy because it feels like home… thank you for the great memories and what’s ahead…

Love Saffrons ❤ on Corydon, Great food & drinks, Rib special is a good bang for the buck, big size portion, pasta dishes & pizza all homemade Karaoke is a good time Friday& Saturday nights. If you are in need of a good night out I highly recommend Saffrons.

We had dessert that I found too sweet for my tastes. Server forgot to cover her mouth and nose with her mask but was otherwise was pleasent. Nice atmosphere.
