This was a very cool spot to stop at. We stopped here to get slme souvenirs and a quick bite to eat. There is a cool park here also where you can take tours of the river. It is also connected to spme great restaurants and the human rights museum is right next door. This is for sure a place for any 1st timer to the city to stop and check out.

What a beautiful well thought out place for visitors and locals. From the shopping to the food selection to the river boat cruise, so much fun. They had the street feast happening across from the forks, which was great. I loved how they have so much space for you to sit with a nice beverage or walk along the river, and through the park. Way to go Winnipeg you've made it a great space for everyone.

I just stumbled upon this place and wow was I impressed. The building is beautiful and there are so many small unique restraunts and shops. I was overall really impressed. The seating is appropriate for how busy it is and the setting was quite clean. Would recommend for any tourist looking for an indoor afternoon activity.

A more upscale food court market with great atmosphere and ambience. Plenty of tables inside or outside under the canopy to eat your meal. The views of the water and surrounding park and greenery outside makes it even more enjoyable. Paid parking. Close to everything, next to visitor centre, Old Sphaghetti Factory, within walking distance to museums, parks and bridges. This is where you’ll want to be.

Oh man, Winnipeg has changed so much! I've been coming here for business over the past three years, and let me tell you, it's like a whole new place now. The south end and the Forks Market are all trendy and happening. You gotta check it out when you're in Canada! And let's talk about the food, dude! Fish and chips, hot pot, and tacos, they've got it all, and it's all freaking delicious. During my last visit, I went all out and ate everything I could get my hands on. No regrets! Only thing I wish for is more shops besides just restaurants, you know? But hey, there's this awesome candy shop that you've got to see. It's pretty cool. Oh, and don't worry about parking, it's paid but super cheap. By the way, while you're there, don't miss out on checking the humane museum nearby. It's worth a visit, for sure. Enjoy your time in Winnipeg, buddy!

Great new boutique fitness gym that has opened up in the area. Pretty unique compared to other places and great equipment to get a wicked workout in. Top notch trainer in Ryan Garbutt who is a former NHL player and knows his stuff! I would definitely recommend this place and it is worth checking out.

I gave myself two hours parking to walk around the Forks Market and surrounding area. I would recommend at least 3 hours or more as there is so much to do in this area. It was a beautiful day and it was quite busy. Lots of kids on field trips, younger kids playing in the sprinkler park, and other people on the walking path enjoying the sunshine. You can walk over the foot bridge to see the Louis Riel site. This was also very busy with a line up to get it. I didn't go inside as I didn't want to wait in line... The walk over the bridge was nice. It took about 10 minutes to walk to Louis Riel from the Forts Market. Also saw some interesting Public Art along the way.

The place to visit in downtown Winnipeg, this location beautifully located along the two rivers that meet in the area offers a little bit of everything. There is history, scenery, art, recreation, shopping, food, museums, and other points of interest. The entire area is quiet accessible and is very walkable. Great views of the river and the downtown skyline. Good food offerings. Close walk to the bridge across the river for more sightseeing.

Not only is the forks a beautiful location its home to so much history. With different plaques around the park you can get a whole history lesson. The forks is also home to many many different types of restaurants as well as many local shopping destinations. The forks is definitely a place to visit any time of the year. (Winter included with the longest skating trail)

A amazing Saturday spent skating at the forks! The warming huts are always fun and the trail was groomed nicely. Since covid you now have to lace your skates outside.

I love the old historic side of the Forks Market. From the exposed brick walls and narrow alleys to the small shops lining the place, it's a place I keep coming back to. It's a busy place on a weekend evening, but that is to be expected. I wandered around the food court for quite some time, checkingbout the various vendors before deciding to go Sri Lankan - but by then they had closed. Then I went for round two and wound up at the Fusian Experience: a place that serve q variety of Asian food including an assortment of sushi and other seafood. I settled for the Hawaian rice bowl. It was an entirely new experience for me. There were flavours and foods there that I had never tasted before. I sat down to enjoy the meal amidst a very noise crowd. When finished, I wandered upstairs to check out the shops and displays there. Unfortunately they were all closed already. I guess that calls for another visit... Next my way led me out of doors, across the plaza to the Johnson terminal, which I briefly toured, and then out another door along walking paths to the walking trails criss-crossing the grounds surrounding. Due to the warm weather we've had the last several days, a lot of the trails were slushy or even had several inches of water on them. I made my way around the puddles as best I could, sometimes using the skating trail and other times walking on the snow beside. I walked over to the Provencher Bridge, stopped to admire the lofty heights of the structure, and turned back to get a glimpse of the Human Rights Museum thru the spires of the bridge pointing skyward. Finally, I directed my steps back to the Forks Market via the Human Rights Museum grounds. It was a worthy experience, one I hope to return to in the summer time when the lawns and trees and shrubs grown green and the weather is warm.

Most literally ’the meeting place’ in Winnipeg. We went for Canada Day and it was packed, but everyone was respectful and enjoying the nice weather. Lots of music and food option. Lots of kid/family friendly activities. Ample parking. Boat tours (pontoon) up/down the river. Skate park. Basketball courts.

It was incredible and a wonderful time being able to go around and have everything open again, they did a great job bringing back normalcy to the forks and it was a impressive experience, all the restaurants were open again, all the stores and information booths. People riding around on the rent a bike and people in the candy store and arcade, it really felt like the forks again and a place that people and community can come together and coexist and feel welcome. Great job on reopening things and can’t wait to go back for some events later next year!

It's a cozy place with lots of nice and cute stores here. It's a pity that I couldn't explore more due to insufficient time, but I definitely will come back again. Oh, and the food is very good.

I will go out of my way to visit this place. There was an abundance of food and shops that allowed a tourist like to get a good feel of the area. I immediately stopped in and got some cigars and souvenirs. I decided to walk around and found some stairs that took me to the top and gave me some pretty cool views of the area. I was able to go outside and see a live band set up and eventually led me to find a boat tour. There is an ATM where I was able to get local cash.

Having just moved to Winnipeg and visiting The Forks Market for thr first time, I absolutely loved it. It's such a neat little place with a fusion of classic and modern architecture. While somewhat limited, the food options are varied and you will find lots of different cuisines. Best of all, none of these are big box brands but local names. The food we had was also very good. They have free drinking water refillers in the market. There's a nice souvenir shop selling the usual touristy stuff. It's nice to climb up the tower and enjoy the view. I will definitely be making this place a regular part of my routine.

The Forks Market is a great place to hangout with friends and family. You can order food and beverages from an online website that you can access through a QR code that is posted on various posters around the location. The food is good and affordable. Highly recommend!

The market was bustling today. We enjoyed the craft beer offered in the food court. It's nice to share flights with friends. The Mexican food offering was delicious and authentic. The larger parking lot is cheap and within easy walking distance. It's definitely a worthwhile trip on an autumn day.

Skating heaven during winter. You can have the kids skating at the rink right outside the market, which is a very well lit area. Then for the adults the frozen Assiniboine river. Lots of coloured lights everywhere. Festive atmosphere with background music. Awesome experience for the family and couples.

Great place to dip in if you have a bit of free time in Winnipeg. Lots of parking. (Pay parking, at least where we're parked.) Historic ambiance, some historical info plaques. Loads of indoor eatery options, lots of outdoor courtyard tables. We got takeout and sat on comfortable chairs overlooking the river, just above the confluence of the Red and Assiniboine rivers, then walked down to the Museum of the Rights of Man.

I always love coming here. It is amazing, from the food, to the shop items, to just the scenery in the surrounding area. It is an amazing place to take photos, go with friends and family. Prices are on the expensive side but not too bad. Got this from my last trip there as well a few cigars from Elements.

Nice place for good quality outings... the parking is not for free anymore... it is for $2/hour... the place has various shops, food restaurants and others but does not have a proper souvenirs shop... there is one but is focused on other things... there is a very nice Aboriginal shop selling things with this theme.

Came here twice in just a few days. This place can get busy but it’s so beautiful to be here. Places to sit and relax ( couches and tables to place games) lots of food places to choose from, great shopping , something for everyone. Big toy store and cute boutiques, great souvenirs and the views were magnificent. A must see in Winnipeg!

Like going to this place, it very nice in winter, kids can slide, there are two decent size slides, place also has a small market. One of the shops there sell Mini dog nuts which are very tasty. There is also an ice skating ring. Parking is not big but you still find a spot to park. There is also a small kids outdoor play area

Amazing place! Super cool vibe and soooo much to do! It's often hard to find an interesting place to enjoy the outdoors and this is definitely the place! Indoors you have food choices for any appetite, craft beer and wine to your hearts desire. Outdoors there's skating, music, tobogganing and trails to enjoy the scenery. I love how The Forks has evolved over the years. I have been, maybe 3 times in the last 5 years. I am very impressed at both the diversity and generational difference that has taken place. The focus on more restaurants and community attractions has caught the interest of the millennial generation and younger. Go to the Forks Friday & Saturday nights, it's packed with people, great vibes and good energy. Overall great experience for all walks of life.

Lots of variety. Food vendors are amazing. We ate at Danny's and the food was excellent! It is fun to walk around. The elevators to the top are also great! You can see the whole city from up there it seems, well at least the Fort Garry Hotel and the Human Rights museum.

I feel the forks market used to be just that.. a market. I miss the variety of shops and kiosks that used to be present. The updates look good. But I feel the forks has just become a food court where you have to pay to park.

  • 5/5 Andrew S. 2 years ago on Google
A must see for anyone new to Winnipeg... There's no shortage of different cuisines available in the market. With the beer and wine bar at the heart of the market, it's easy to grab a pint and your favourite fare while relaxing in an open atmosphere. Johnston terminal also has some great shops, with the treat of a mini Winnipeg Art Gallery shop and exhibit. There's also quick access to the human rights museum fur those that are looking for a bit of culture.

So much to do and see and lots of creative pivoting done to ensure it stays viable in the covid menace. Lots for kids to play in with surrounding parks and fields and trails, lots for grown ups with eateries & shops of all kinds. Close to downtown and just a really great attraction for the city of Winnipeg. Well maintained and patrolled, never felt unsafe with the kids and pups.

A unique little hub of stores and restaurants! Located in The Forks, this is a decently sized building housing some cool shops and a nice food court. It's always great to visit the Forks when visiting Winnipeg. The area is well kept (no litter), with lots of seating areas around the river and outside. With lots of boutique like stores to visit, you will walk away with a little treasure. On top of that, the food is excellent! I would recommend to come hungry if you can and snag yourself some treats! Very close to other attractions downtown, all within walking distance (Human Rights Museum, Bridge, Winnipeg Sign, Meeting spot, etc).

A historical site converted into a beautiful and dynamic market with food, shopping etc and an amazing outdoor park / meeting place with chairs and tables right by the Red River and the Assiniboine River. A must-see place in Winnipeg. A good example of sound urban planning for other cities.

  • 5/5 Nicollo A. 1 year ago on Google
an overall nice place to visit with plenty of stores and restaurants to go to. There's two storeys to explore; with the first floor consisting mostly of dining, and the second floor consisting of merchandise and knick-knack stores. I also noticed a sort of chill lounge on the second floor too. For those visiting Manitoba, try climbing the watch-tower to get a nice view of the city; as well as getting a nice aerial view of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. There's a neat covered parking lot nearby for those who are driving.

Went on an autumn day, during the week. Felt sad and lonely around the shops and areas. I understand making money, but it sure is a place for tourist overpriced trap items and souvenirs. Didn't have anything really to offer for lunches or snacks. Plus the elevators were broken not really fair for handicap accessibility.

  • 5/5 Hasan S. 1 year ago on Google
To experience the real forks market, someone has to go there for an event like New Year's Eve. It becomes the gathering center for Winnipeg or Manitoba. It becomes lively and crowded. Foods, singing, and DJ makes the atmosphere wonderful. So come to celebrate new year Eve or something.

The most happening place in the city of Winnipeg. After knowing it's 6000 years old history of this place it developed a massive inspiration for me. The place is ideal for all seasons, the patio is extraordinary during the summers. The setup inside the forks Market is marvelous. You get to have a diverse and wide variety of cuisines. The staff at forks are absolutely amazing and deserve a huge round of applause. The ambiance crowd and the interiors are scintillating. A must visit place for everyone who visits or stays in Winnipeg.

Nice selection of street food style kiosk on the first floor and artisans and souvenir shops on the seccond floor. There was a few units in renovation on the seccond floor, so looks like there will be more shops in the future. There a lot of sitting space on both floors and outside. It's surprisingly cold inside in the summer. The walk up the stairs to the viewing tower is a great way to digest all the food you'll eat.

Love all the staff at the Commons. Can’t find a nicer crew of people. Don’t know what to order? Be sure to ask questions, they have been actually trained in everything they carry and will sort out the best fit drink for you. Enjoy your time here!

What an absolute GEM of a place. I was staying at the Inn on the Forks for a conference at the Human Rights Museum (which is itself a breathtaking architectural triumph and monument to human rights). This is a MUST visit spot in Winnipeg (especially if you’re a tourist). Fabulous food on the main floor (I had a memorable Bison sausage at Weinerpeg), a crazy beautiful candy shop, outstanding espresso and a craft beer spot inside (and outside in the summer!). So much more I didn’t mention too. DO NOT miss the upstairs area for really great shopping. An eclectic souvenir shop and a bookstore (rare these days). And a weird and aesthetically gorgeous coworking free space where you can hang out and work, talk, play board games … And outside is a beautiful area to sit with relaxing chairs and tables Truly a unique GEM in Canada, and a lot of interesting Indigenous education as this has been a meeting place for thousands of years and if you visit, you’ll see why.

It is one of the nicest places in Winnipeg. Don't leave the city until you go to The Forks. It deserves all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I just can't accept that all the restaurants inside close at 9 pm in the summer🤭 Other than that, I love everything else about this place.

It was really fun to browse but definitely not to shop- not for a travelling student, at least: the prices are severely inflated. Of course, it is high-end, hand-made, and boutique-style shops. So, if that's your thing, it is a total recommended and unique shopping experience! Where they really shine is the choice of restaurants. The food was really good and the service was great, too. My sister and I ate there twice during our time in Winnipeg. I would definitely recommend it and go again. Not to mention, the facilities are clean and the surrounding environment is lovely!

Such a fun place to visit. Lots of shops and good places to eat. I was happy to look around and see lots of gluten free options. We even found one shop that had a 4XL size. It was nice to find something for my BF to wear. We went multiple times!

Super cute vibe. Love the building, the verity of stores and stuff however, the food options are pretty sad. Bad menus all around. Definitely wouldn't eat here again. Need new options.
