This is possibly the worst restaurant I've encountered in my global travels. Three of us, one French and two Chinese, were bluntly informed of a 1.5-hour dining limit upon arrival, which we reluctantly accepted. When one female friend couldn't finish a main plate due to feeling unwell and wanted to share, they harshly insisted on each person ordering a separate plate plus one starter. Despite understanding, our decision to skip dessert displeased the waiter. During the meal, our dog consumed an egg; we carefully placed the shell in a tissue as shown in the image. As we left, the restaurant manager, a woman, loudly yelled at us, thanking us for the "garbage" and violently slammed the door in our faces. Confused, we politely inquired in French, only to be contemptuously told they had no responsibility to clean up after us. Shockingly, another staff member used severe racial slurs, questioning our origin. For a Michelin-starred restaurant, the service, behavior, and language were beyond disappointing. Objectively, the food was subpar. When we provided feedback, the staff responded with poor attitudes, claiming that's how things are here. We urge everyone to reconsider entering such a dreadful establishment. Such service and food do not deserve the Michelin title.

Very good food in a cozy/alsacian rustic place. During the eating hours the place is busy but you can make a quick resevation for the upcoming hours.

Wistub de la Petite Venise offers fantastic Alsace cuisine in a charming rustic atmosphere. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. It can get crowded and noisy, but overall, it's a great choice for authentic dining.

It was an amazing dining experience. The staff are friendly. Food is good. The pork knuckle is not exactly crispy but the taste is still good. The fish was to me alittle overdone but it’s still ok. To me, the sauerkraut that was served with the fish was overpowering the fish. Overall it is still a good experience and worth the try if you crave for Alsatian food

Party of 8. Stopped in to see if we could have a late lunch. We were so lucky to get a table! Lunch was Lovely. All food was wonderful. The best part was our waiter, Basil was so friendly, patient and professional. One of our party was able to speak to him in Spanish! Thank you Basil for making our lunch so memorable. We hope to come back someday.

Very beautiful place in the centre of Colmar. The place itself is nice and comfortable very nice decorated, the atmosphere is like the one you experience eating by a close friend, the weitress was very kind and luckily for us she could speak Italian, which was a major advantage for the translation of the menu. The food was traditional Alsatian and absolutely delicious. Despite the fact that it was on michelin guide, prices are right and portions very abundant and obviously tasty their riesling wine was also very tasty. Nothing to add but highly recommended.

Was able to squeeze into a cancellation but don’t recommend doing that if you’re adamant on eating here. The food was excellent. Service and ambiance are warm and inviting. There is a commanding presence here and as an admirer of the late Bourdain, this was the homage and part of the trip I am thrilled to have completed. Worth it.

Lovely, bustling place serving traditional food in a very authentic setting. The decor is charming, the food tastes great, and the service is good. It's extremely busy so it doesn't really feel very cosy and friendly. There's little effort from the service to provide recommendations and explanations on the menu, unfortunately. And the menu simply names the dishes, which is not very helpful for tourists. We spent quite a long time just googling dishes. It's likely much better if you are a fluent French speaker or a connoisseur of the local cuisine. We were pleased by the options for preparing children size dishes. We had the salmon, the cheese salad, the Poelade, the meatballs (for kids) and the meat rolls. All really tasty! I was personally quite disappointed by the fact that we asked if we would be able to take dessert with us after the meal, and was faced with a sharp, brutal "non".

Very good food,we had meatballs, fish ,snails and the smoked ham,and not expensive at all. The service was also great, our waitresses explained in detail the whole menu with pictures and everything. Be sure to call before and reserve a table, as the restaurant is not too big.

    * Charming setting: Nestled amidst the flower-bedecked canals of Colmar, with half-timbered houses reflected in the shimmering water. * Warm hospitality: The staff is friendly and welcoming, offering recommendations and catering to dietary needs. * Delicious food: Celebrates regional Alsatian cuisine with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Highlights include escargots, smoked duck salad and Jambonne. * Modern twists: The chef adds modern touches to traditional dishes, with hints of citrus and herbs for a refreshing taste. * Enchanting atmosphere: Intimate dining room with warm lighting, soft music, and traditional Alsatian décor. * Reasonable prices: Excellent value for the experience, offering quality food, warm hospitality, and a magical setting. Overall: Wistub de la Petite Venise is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience that will transport you to a fairytale setting.

We have dinner great!10 pints for the young and blond waiter in the top floor!he pays attention in everything, thks. Only 1 suggestion;the waitress, she has a lot of tattoos;she was angried and she closed the door (dando fuertes golpes)and for the people we were dinning was a uncomfortable situation...pls, don't do it in front of the customers...The good was amazing, price-quality is perfect and her behaviuor was very horrible...because she nade several times....tks

We had dinner at this place and it was lovely, would totally recommend it. It's usually pretty busy, but they take appointments for later in the same evening if you drop by and they are full. There were three of us and they accommodated us pretty quickly :) Every dish we ordered was perfect : we had foie gras for starter and continued with poelade au munster, fleischnacka and jambonneau for the main course - the latter was the star of the table!! For dessert, we had moelleux au chocolat and tarte du jour (linzer) - both were delicious. You can tell they put every effort in making everything perfect. The staff were super kind and helpful and the atmosphere inside was just lovely. If you are around in Colmar, do pay them a visit - it's definitely worth it.

It's a very cute and quite small restaurant. I really love their furniture and decoration which make me feel warm! We ordered snails, chicken and fish. I loved the chicken and the beginning. But it was just too much. I was too full and I was quite tired of its taste (it was rich of cheese and cream or something else that I cann't recognize. The taste was strong so I loved it at the beginning.) Oh and the dessert was fantastic!

Food was good, but the desserts were quite uninteresting. Worst, I ordered a sweet dessert wine for the dessert, and was served a dry gewurztraminer that was room-temperatured and not chilled at all. Did absolutely not match the desserts in any kind of way. We also had a very strong feeling that the staff just wanted to get rid of us as soon as possible, even though it wasn't even particularly late, 22.30 and after only 1,5 hours seated. Would not go back.

Exelent food, young drivers. They got last Michelin star 2021. Book a table if you want to eat here, absolutely worth every euro. Highly recommend this restaurant. Thank for great service and helping us thru the menu.

Nice location in the picturesque 'La Petite Venise'. We arrived at 21.50h but we could still go there. Fish dish with linguini was very tasty! Nice atmospheric elements in the restaurant also :) recommended!

Super cute interior with 2 floors and very good food, from starter to dessert. The staff is friendly and engaged though understaffed, so be patience. No English or German menu, and the font of the menu challenges most translation apps. Still recommendable.

Lovely little restaurant not crowded with too many tables. Be sure to book at least a day before if you go in November or December as you’ll likely struggle to get a reservation on the day. We had a 3 course meal and the food was fantastic. Only reason for losing one star is I felt we were a little rushed but that’s because they have 2 strict dinner slots per evening only.

Cozy and well decorated place, well located in the petite Venise area. Prices are reasonable, portions are good, and the wine was good too. I'd perhaps expect slightly better service based on their feature in the Michelin guide, but it was good nonetheless.

Delicious. The salad's Munster cheese 'shavings' were quite thick and filling, so by the time the beef ribs came (for two), we were on our way to being full and couldn't finish the (700? 800? grams) of tasty beef. It's really for three people, no one we saw who ordered it finished it either.

My experience was perfect! The service was good and helpful. The wine was amazing with the food. I had one of the best escargots ever - fresh, with the best proportion of oil and spice. We also had choucroute, a classic dish from the region. The charcuterie was amazing. And to finish, the dessert (pear pie) was incredible - the perfect equilibrium betwen sugar, butter and fruit. I strongly recommend that place, especially if you are looking for a traditional Alsacian meal.

The only restaurant that we visited twice in our 8 days stay in France. Wife loved their escargots so much that we ordered a dozen in our second trip. We loved the decorations of the place as well, a vintage touch. Service was excellent too. We would highly recommend this place to anyone in town.
