Way too busy in the after-work hours, way too expensive, atmosphere not cosy. …yet I will keep coming because there is no alternative. I look forward to the day the city will have a second bouldering gym.

Recently moved from Amsterdam and regularly visited the Monk there so this is my new one. I got to experience it a few times before it closed for the pandemic and it's a very nice and impressive climbing wall with more than 1 floor and a good selection of problems for all skill levels. The bar sells really nice local beers and decent snacks. Very good how they've got an outdoor beach wall setup for people to use freely whilst we can't climb inside. Also the toasties are delicious

A very nice gym but it gets super hot even with 21°C outside resulting in constant slippery hands and (in my case) migraines post workout. Ventilation is not the best. Even when it's too hot, most windows are closed and they don't turn on all the fans. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't even need to use fans in spring if they would open all the doors that face the street at least 5cm (to not disturb the neighbors with the music) and have the other 2 fully open to create a nice air flow. Despite all that it's a very nice gym with good routes and a big space for warming up and workout. The cafe is very cozy and the terrace is very nice on sunny days. All in all I really like it but the heat really ruins the experience for me. Maybe it won't be an issue for other people but for me it even stops me from going more often in the summer.

The best Boulder gym I know. You can boulder on two floors now and there's a big training area with rings and trx systems, weights etc. You also find a slackline there which is great when your hands are tired but you still don't want to go home. Toilets and changing rooms are clean and the gym is generally well organized. The routes are top, there's something for everyone.

I'm not the best, but i climb here regularly. The staff makes an effort to make you feel at home, and it definitely pays off. You might even find them climbing themselves on their days off. The community is super friendly and helpful when you're stuck on a boulder. I've never felt more comfortable in a gym! P.s. i love the grilled cheese 🧀

Routes are nice, however it is way too busy in the evening. I was here around 1900 on a wednesday, and you had to wait your turn for a try on a boulder

Kind of fun for Active Date Friday. Great way to train your grip strength! You can have a beer or a Club Mate while resting out in between climbs.

This is a very bad company. After you cancel your membership, They still continue to deduct money from your banrk account. talk them the membership has been terminated, but they still continue to deduct money from my account. Don't come to join their membership if you don't loss money.

The outside area is nice after you are done with the session, it is bright inside and there are plenty of routes for every grade. The routes are ok, but I feel like they are lacking some sort of creativity and most of the routes in the same grade have a similar feel, which is mainly pumpy, crimpy, slippery or just moves that put smaller people to a disadvantage, in particular if you try to advance higher in the grades. I guess that's why many boulder gyms nowadays abandoned the color scheme (--> grade=color of holds) and use all colors for all grades. I am also missing cave-like routes with mainly overhanging character close to the ground. There is a small section (bottom floor, to the left), but there was no route when I was there. I don't like the online registration either, since there is only control over people entering the gym but not those leaving the gym it is kind of pointless, but whatever. And it still feels crowded during the after-work hours.

Great gym, staff is always friendly and approachable. Has a lot of variation in climbing grade and also kid friendly. Also has a bar where you can get a nice cold lemonade, beer or something to eat like a sandwich or homemade banana bread, brownies or cookies after a good session. 👍

Really great venue with good climb options for kids and adults. Kids over 6yo. Nice drinks and coffee for after as well. Mellow vibes. Good times

Really cool bouldering gym with lots of amenities, lockers for use with padlocks, cubby holes for storage, and lots of benches for places to sit off the mat. The cafe/social area is really nice, serving a range of tea, coffee and cold drinks. The bouldering is a little soft compared to London gyms, but the setting is really nice. A range of good climbs and technique routes. Really highly recommend this bouldering gym

I often visit bouldergyms in other cities but Monk Eindhoven is still one of my favourites. Big hall with creative routes and friendly staff :)

Absolutely love this place! The personnel is friendly and helpful. There are new routes every week and the music is so nice during climbing. Would recommend checking it out

This gym is pretty large with plenty of slopes and problems. Problems are physically challenging in general. Music style and volume is usually more than decent. People are friendly and there is also a physiotherapist on Tuesday evening. Rumors are that they will expand the gym upstairs and I am looking forward to it. Currently there is practically no space to properly warm up or stretch, but hopefully this will improve soon! The gym is a bit dusty but given the large volume of climbers and their (our) habit of chalking up, I guess it more or less inevitable.

My favourite bouldering gym so far! Great atmosphere, huge hall, diverse routes which was very fun. Felt like the grading was very consistent too, which I appreciated as a beginner. The exercise space was really well-equipped and spacious as well, which made warming up pretty fun. Staff was friendly, everything was clean, all in all just a place I didn't really want to leave. Open until late, which is a huge plus!

It wasn’t the best introduction but not the worst. To keep people coming back you need to give the best introduction and make sure that people feel welcome. I felt like why you came here that kind of thing. After finding out that I have some experience with climbing the tone changed and this was first time for my 8 year old son so by that they should put extra effort that he will want to come back. That is how you build up the clients pool.

Great bouldergym! Many routes, clean holds, varied routes and frequent building. I chose to come to Eindhoven 6+ years ago in part because of this boulder gym, at the time there were not many gyms. A while ago I was thinking it would be nice to have a second(or third+) gym as there are in quite a few cities in NL but since this gym has such frequent routebuilding and enough routes of every difficulty I don't mind it that much anymore. It's a bit busy in evenings sometimes and a few more large grips would be welcome (Beest boulders has some routes consisting of only these making them more interesting), but overall I really like it.

Very fun for non climbers too. Decent beer and a pool table. The cookies are great too. Keep out the jar though otherwise you’ll get a chad jumping over the bar.

Okay gym. Have heard a lot of hype around this gym but the routesetting was not impressive. Its decent and somewhat techie, happily not modern olympic jump here and twist around sort of thing. Sadly there are mainly only aggressive crimps when arriving a certain level. The holes are quite dirty, making it less fun to climb. The entry price is also somewhat high. Recommended if you climb harder and love crimps, otherwise better skip it.

Today was my first time bouldering and it was super fun! I thought that I was there for 20mins but actually it was almost 2h haha Cheers! Definitely going back next time!

Workout don't have to be boring and repeating. Ever changing routes, friendly staff, and a nice kitchen/bar to recharge and socialize later... Monk is awesome
