πŸ‘πŸ‘ An old British wonder hidden away in the middle of nowhere just on the outskirts of Berkshire! Don't miss this place for a bite and a drink with some good old classic British pub grub. Great location, with beautiful pub garden. Currently sat in the sunshine, with my dog, Reg' by my side, enjoying a grilled chicken salad and sweet potato fries. Reg was very welcome and enjoyed the complimentary dog biscuit

Service was good. But the meal I had (Scampi and Chips) was a lot smaller portion than the other meals on the table. Had to have a pudding to fill up. This was an evening meal.

Love this place, decent pub & restaurant. Often has themed events. Very popular is night and quiz night. Events & offers displayed at the front door. New thing I noticed, pizza for takeaways. Can also dine in with your pizza of course. I found this place picking up my son from the nearby school and wandered in from a burning hot summer day to shelter from the heat and cool down with a cool drink. School run has never been such a pleasure. This place faultless for their warm welcome, pub food and good beer garden on sunny days. Dog friendly, children family friendly.

A traditional pub with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. There are a good selection of drinks and the interior decorations are really cool to look at.

Shared a lovely lunch here with my wife and our trusted dog. The staff were all jolly, kind to our little friend and quick to serve. We kept to the lunch menu and we left very pleased. With good portions, a reasonable price and delicious food, we will definitely be returning!

Lovely lunch today with a relative. A light , airy, very nicely decorated pub as well as being spacious inside and out. Very clean and tidy. Service was very good and had their offer of two lunches for the price of Β£20 from their menu of certain meals. Overall the food was great and very tasty indeed! Good value for money for a lunchtime get together.

We had Sunday lunch here and it was absolutely fantastic. I can honestly say, one of the best Sunday pub lunches I've had in a while. I had the beef, and it was tender, the veggies were cooked perfectly and the gravy was spot on! Staff were attentive and were a credit to the pub!

Went to D& D for a quiet catch up with friends, not realising Weds is quiz night ☹️ First there was an issue getting a table as several reserved for quiz. Where we did finally sit, it was too loud as under the speakers. We did not want to do the quiz so went to garden area. Which was ok till sun went. We ended up sat in restaurant out of the way, thankfully it wasn’t too busy for food! So if you want a quiet drink don’t do a Weds. But on a normal night lovely pub!

We absolutely love it here for a roast most Sundays, we like to sit at the bar side and eat as we prefer the atmosphere, the staff are super friendly, smiley and very attentive in the fact that I always ask for a bigger wine glass and they go out of their way to get me one with no hesitation. The roasts are absolutely superb, best Yorkshire’s and cauliflower cheese in Wokingham, and great value for money, will recommend them all of the time

Great Sunday lunch in this pub on the way through. The food was great, service excellent. The dining area was busy and lively, lovely interior. Not in the most beautiful location, but on its own and inside a great find.

This is my sis and brother in laws local pub. They are always there with the family and when I visit we pop in. It's a lovely pub with great staff. Good atmosphere and good selection of drinks. Lots of outdoor space for the summer too. The food is fantastic and they are great at hosting an event including private section for a party or a live singer. They recently had a swing singer it was great! Brilliant pub.

Four of us went last night. It wasn't very full but the service, atmosphere and quality of the food was excellent. Also, the price was very reasonable. The Dog and Duck has had a changeable reputation over the years but I must say I was very pleasantly surprised. I would certainly recommend eating there and I definitely be going back.

Have been here a number of times and food is always great. Mostly have burgers and the king prawn linguine. Decided to go for pizza and can highly r commend the dog and duck pizza. I added spinach and goats cheese to my taste and it was amazing. Well worth a visit.

Very nice food. Happy and polite staff. Sad that the pub's Bluetooth was not working properly as the music kept cutting out every 30 seconds making it a little annoying.

We had a table of five people booked for 3.30, when we arrived we were warmly welcomed. The staff showed us to our table and asked us what we would like to drink, whilst we looked at the menu’s. We had a lovely young man named Leo who looked after us all afternoon, the food was very good, unfortunately they didn’t have my first choice (lamb chops with chorizo and gratin dauphinois) but the chicken pie was very good. Everyone had a very lovely meal, the the staff were excellent especially Leo.

18 of us went for lunch which was of an excellent standard at a great price! We pre ordered and all of our meals were served together. It's under new management and Victoria and her staff/colleagues were welcoming and friendly to us. We will certainly be returning.

Went for a birthday lunch and chose to sit outside as it was lovely weather. They have sections for smokers and non smokers which I found to be a great initiative! Food was delicious and really good portion sizes; struggled to finish it! Friendly and warm atmosphere too. Will come here again

Food was nice but there card machine is borderline illegal , as someone who works in the payment industry The interface could lead to an elderly customer putting in a 50% gratuity without thinking about it !!!! We are not in America and frankly the tip options before you find the custom one are way to high and like one said prior run the risk of legal action. This would not have been as big of a problem had one not had to get drinks from the bar as we weren’t asked if we wanted any when we entered or had the carvery been served to the table like many other places in Wokingham.

Very nice place, some well kept draught beers. Barman not too friendly unfortunately, maybe he needs an early night! Sunday roast very good, plenty of meat and veg. Table service by young staff very good. Good wine list, but unfortunately only the expensive ones available. May give it another go in a few months time.

First time visit and will definitely be going back. Food was fantastic. We had a few starters to share, my favourite was the squid chips. Both of our mains were lovely, half roast chicken was very succulent and the house burger was yummy. There is a herb in the burger the chef said was a secret ingredient, so if you find out let me know what it is it was very tasty.

Had a great mid-week family lunch here. Good choices available on the menu, the set menu being of really good value. If I was closer I would definitely be a regular.

We went to the Dog and Duck with a family group of 12. The food was exceptional and plentiful. Most had the carvery. Others had the normal menu which was well presented That staff were exceptional and very friendly. This was our first visit and will most certainly return again. Thank you

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Very Nice Ambience. The Food taste was so nice that I couldn't stop praising their chef. They serve authentic curry's . The staff is very well mannered with the polite attitude. On the top of that they gave us complementary desert on the occasion of Birthday. Value for money with the tasty food.
