If you’re looking for a fun place,great food, and extensive drink menu this is the place to try! Staff is attentive and knowledgeable. Jessica at the bar makes delicious cocktails. My girlfriends and I came Friday night and they had a great local band with music that everyone enjoyed.

Melinda’s has a new owner and they have made some HUGE improvements. They totally remodeled the kitchen (no more microwaves) and have a brand new menu. Their SMASH BURGERS and HOT WINGS are some of the best in the area and very reasonably priced! I was surprised how fresh and flavorful everything was. Don’t forget to add a side of SMASH FRIES (you won’t be disappointed). They are definitely leaning into being a sports bar with good grub - which fits into the neighborhood so much better! This is going to be my go-to from now on for weekday lunches and Sunday football!

The new menu and ownership is great! The wings are freshly made with great sauce to go with them. Fries are well seasoned as well, definitely recommend getting them with the delicious smash burgers. Barry was great, very friendly and enthusiastic! The cheese curds will definitely draw me back.

I planned to reflect my honest opinion within my review and I do believe this business can be great. The bartenders are great especially Holly! They have employees that care and are loved by their customers! I have no problem with their delicious cocktails and okay pizza :) the dissatisfactory is with the owners and how they treat their customers. Maybe learn the whole story or personally talk to us when you have a problem. It’s heartbreaking to see a situation go down when it can be resolved with a simple conversation! Being owners I would love to see more friendly interactions and less negative ones!

The new management did a wonderful job with the place! Loved the atmosphere and the music, and the service was absolutely amazing(thanks Barry!). There's tons of seatings, games to play, and even a spot for live music! Definitely excited to come back in the evening. I usually take pictures of the food, but I had to dig in immediately lol. Maybe next time I'll be able to contain myself! We went for lunch and got smash burgers, cheese curds, and some boneless wings. The smash burgers were awesome! The dugout sauce was very yummy and I loved the customizations that we could put on the burger. I had a single and my friends got doubles and found it incredibly filling. The combo came with fries that were super crispy and well seasoned too. The boneless wings are incredibly fresh too! You can tell they're using fresh chicken breasts. Perfect texture, and the sauce options were great (I got spicy garlic, highly recommend!) Cheese curds were light and very cheesy. Even my lactose intolerant friend couldn't get enough.

My first time at the bar and the service was great! Holly was very friendly and the bingo caller was funny! The only negative part was the owners behind the bar… i only knew it was the owners because of chatter around the bar. They had an awkward situation with a customer about something small….. and they ended up storming out. Over all love the service but not the atmosphere :/ nice to see the owners at the bar but I think things could have been handled differently.

mama spice took care of us. Best bartender we’ve had in a long time. Her food is amazing!!!! Her Sloppy Joe is the best i’ve ever had! It looks like a sloppy joe but tastes waaaaayy better than any sloppy joe i’ve had. thank you mama spice!!!!! they used an air fryer for the fries too, which made me happy because i don’t want too much grease. i love the outdoor area they have. they were amazing. will definitely come back.

I've been in two weekends in a row now to watch NFL games and the experience has been fantastic. The smash burgers are delicious (shout out Mama Spice!) and the beers are ice cold out of the taps. Plenty of TVs to see the games and attentive service from the bartender. Definitely making this my go-to spot moving forward!

Small venue with a mixed local crowd service needs a lot of work. They have live music on some nights and good drink specials, but more of a shot and beer joint, with cheap mixers. I ordered a 7&7, my wife had the margaritas 🍹which were ok. I noticed an up charge on my receipt which made the drinks a little pricey.

Melinda's is the best! Mama Spice is so friendly and she makes the best food and drinks. I had the best Margarita there last night. Atmosphere is friendly, all the bartenders are right on their game. The restaurant is clean and cute, definitely a great place to visit in the neighborhood. You won't be disappointed!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would . I love this place , the vibe is awesome. I come here almost every Friday and this is definitely the place for some good food and drinks and some Karaoke. The bartender does a great job of taking care of every guest and he is on top of it . Great job !

Stopped here randomly for the first time ever today, had a BLAST!! had the best bartender (mama spice), and was made to feel like a lifetime friend from the get go. Can't wait to go back!! Also, GREAT variety of on tap beers!!

I just moved in to the area and was looking to see what the bar scene was like. I am glad I landed on Melinda's. The staff there was fantastic. They were very friendly and welcoming! The food was tasty! We had the cheese curds, wings and my friend had the meatball sandwich. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a friendly atmosphere and good service. I cant wait to go back and see what a Friday or Saturday looks like in there. Thank you Arlene for being so welcoming!

Wow I gotta say great experience. Stopped in for some lunch had the MEATBALLS WITH MARINARA Topped with Parmesan Cheese for appetizers. Also had Fine spaghetti pasta topped with marinara sauce & meatballs. Served with parmesan crusted crunchy garlic bread And onThursday by get one free Spaghetti dinner. Also $5 martinis The chocolate martini was awesome made with chocolate vodka delicious. Thank you very much everybody there had a great experience. .

I met someone here for a first date. The food was good, our server/bartender was excellent, and the owner actually came over to chat. There was karaoke that night, so it wasn't the best night to go for a date, but I had a great time regardless. I felt comfortable enough to relax in the cozy setting with positive quotes and affirmations on the wall behind us in my picture shared with my review. Thanks to all the staff for making it a memorable night!

Everything was great. Food was delicious, staff was friendly and helpful, atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The only concern is that it was understaffed. The poor server we had was in charge of tending bar, taking orders, clearing tables, bringing food, etc. It was busy the night we went, so the service was slow, but it was as fast as one person could do it all. Hopefully they're able to hire more servers for next time!

Exciting News! Our small neighborhood restaurant-bar is undergoing a fantastic transformation as it passes the torch from its cherished former owners to a new owner. Expect a positive environment, innovative cocktails, fresh food, creative art and a warm atmosphere that honors the tradition of sports, live music from all landscapes and last but not least, a collaborative staff that treats and respects customers like a family member. This place simply went from great to now victorious. Nice job, Melinda's Pub and staff.

Under new ownership and what a wonderful experience! We had tremendous service, and head chef Mama Spice is delightful! Smash burger was well seasoned and delicious. And the fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned! Good music, wonderful atmosphere. We will be back.

The food here is a smidge inconsistent but always delicious! Love that they have so many events like bingo, trivia, open mic nights, bands. Doesnt have a seedy bar feeling at ALL.

The atmosphere is the bar has been completely off the last couple weeks. We come to hang out with all of the regulars while Thomas tell jokes & calls out numbers — Holly is truly the best as well, not a lot of people can say they’ve found their bartender. It is also always a pleasure seeing mama spice join the party every once in a while. Tuesday’s are normally a great time that we’re all looking forward to. We were made aware the owners were there by the commotion coming from the back of the bar, I do believe the situation could have been approached and handled differently then it was. Instead we were met with glares and witnessed belligerent unprofessional behavior. Wishing you the best, whatever helps you sleep at night.

In from out of town & found this great little tavern. Momma Spice greeted me like a regular & having grown up in Chicago decades ago it reminded me of the best things about my favorite City. With All the craziness turning this city upside down, it's a beautiful thing to be reminded of the old character of Chicago! Go see Momma Spice. A real sweetie that spices up a nice menu!

We finally stopped in after so many times driving past and seeing they had Bar Bingo and Wings. It is a nice atmosphere with plenty of seating, inside, outside and at the bar. They have a great variety of drinks (including IPAs) and their food menu had a wide variety. We had to try the staple bar food, wings (bone in)…and I went with something different that reminded me of childhood….the Sloppy Joe. WOW!!! Mama Spice has her recipe on ‘point’!! The wings were juicy, tender and the right amount of sauce, it wasn’t drooping with sauce, but yet gave enough to be finger licking good.  The sloppy Joe was definitely NOT Manwich. It had great flavor from the beginning of the bite, gave a slight spice flavor taste at the end, and not over spiced to where it is ‘spicy’. It also came with dirty rice, which also had a spice to it, but again….not overpowering. Both dishes were great. Not to mention, their prices weren’t bad at all, especially for the quantity and quality of the food/drinks. We will be back at Melinda’s to try more food, drinks and even check out an event (Bingo, karaoke, etc.). I attached pictures, but of course…didn’t think about it until I was already chowing down. LOL

Me and a couple friends recently discovered this low key gem and attend on Fridays for Karaoke night and I must say it’s been such a fun and welcoming experience. Great karaoke system and host! But most importantly I’m writing this 5 star review strictly to say how much we love Granite the bartender. He is super friendly, professional and made us feel welcome the very first day. The 2nd Friday we came in and it was like we have known each other for years.. he even remembered what our go to drinks are so he was on his game (bonus points) We still haven’t gotten him to sing karaoke but that’s the plan as we keep coming back! Thanks for making us feel welcome, Granite! You’re the best!!

Came again, loved the food and drinks. 4 stars only because I miss having Rita, one of the best bartenders, around. Where has she been?? At least we have Mama Spice on Deck for now, but I would love if they kept some familiar faces.

My boyfriend and I were driving to Chase and decided to celebrate our accomplishments. We had seen the pub before, since we live nearby and chose to stop in. Mama Sauce was awesome. She was very helpful on tasting a new bear I never had. This BBQ chicken pizza was great. Chicago style, thin, crispy and the chicken was shredded which I loved. She also told us about their weekly events and we will be coming back. It’s super cute inside too. Dive in feels.

I was here last night with my boyfriend for a date night and our bartender Elizabeth was so friendly and fun. She gave us great recommendations on drinks and food. We ended up getting the the bbq pizza, which we ate all of. Overall, really nice environment/place and a very inviting staff. We will be back to try more things soon!

Ok so hear me out the food here was pretty bland which is why the 2 stars. We ordered out and I gotta say they should stick to drinks and not food. My dad always finishes his food and he did not want to finish the food. I ordered the chicken rice bowl … I was not expecting a tiny cup so I had to go back out and get something else to eat. (Picture of the rice bowl) Pretzels were good but I would recommend a drink here just not the food.

Great place to grab a drink and a smash burger or even better smash burger fries! They have three different types of fries, which I've never seen at a bar. The options are on point. Love the food and the owner is always super friendly. Can't ask more from a local bar. Prices are great as well. Definitely recommended!
