I'm happy to elaborate on the specific areas of dissatisfaction with your hotel. Should I start with the windows that won't shut or the doors that won't lock? The leaking toilet on the bathroom floor? The hair dryer that won't turn on? There's so many facets of this establishment that I could speak on, but I'd say that the crowning failure was the bed bugs that bit us all night, despite sleeping fully clothed on top of the covers. Did I mention that we still got charged $69.27 from the security deposit?

Unfortunately we booked a room with this motel on market street in Wilmington NC. What a waste of money and time. When can I start? When you view it online it shows a nice pool and list some rooms with a pool side view. The listing doesn’t say the pool is in the backyard across from the hotel. Did I mention it doesn’t have any water in it. In the room we wanted to call the front desk but no phone in the room. We needed a little ice but no ice bucket was found. We went to the front desk an asked for an ice bucket. That’s when the front desk clerk said they didn’t have buckets and both ice machines were out of service. As you look in the shower, soap from someone else was left and dried in the shower. Did I mention the bathroom door will not shut, no real privacy if it was needed. Oh. And the sanitation grade was 90. Another gentleman was in the office complaining about the noise and the smoke from their charcoal grill. That’s not all but maybe you can understand why we were so frustrated and the loss of time and money we wasted staying there. Bye the way if you still want to stay there, bring your own pillows and sheets.

The worst experience I've had at any stay! I should have definitely read all the reviews instead of just the ones that come up at first glance in google. Everything was dirty! The desk chair had stains. The towels had hair on them and one even had a black stain! The bed sheets had soft yellow stains. We stomped upon a cockroach in the middle of the night, and there were so many so many cigarettes' outside! Honestly I am so thankful to God that we didn't get sick because I was really afraid for all my families health!!! I didn't expect a 5 start hotel but I at least expected things to be clean, that is the least any Inn, hotel or motel can do.

One star is because the worker here a respectful and great employees but the rooms…….First thing first the photos you see on Google are CAP! (A lie for those who don’t know what Cap mean) Walls look nasty. TV don’t even work. Floor so dirty it don’t make no sense. The shower was so dirty we wore slides in the shower. We had paw prints on our sheets. We even switched rooms and it was still cheeks. 5 star price for a 1 star experience. If this your last option… sleep in your car. Trust me I’m doing you a favor.

Considering the fact it's under construction, it was alright. Quiet and comfortable! Rooms could have been a little bit cleaner but the beds were just right and everything else was fine. Staff was friendly and very helpful we were on the second floor and the staff helped us carry up our luggage . There were enough places for my dog to walk and go potty please pick up behind yourself. Very secure they have cameras looking down both sides of the building around the back side of the building very comfortable about being there being a single female. So a nice big thank you goes out to all the staff was very helpful in every way possible thank you!

We had a tragic death in our family this was a last minute choice. The front desk staff was amazing! When checking in we were given the TV remote and was told that if it wasn't returned there would be a $25 fee. The room not so great. You can tell they did some remodeling, the floors and the curtains but, no coffee maker, bed sheets had small areas that were stained, and all the towels were the same way. There was a small round table that was broken. The "pool" wasn't fit for use. Outside was a lot of trash. The refrigerator was covered in rust spots and one "leg" was missing. To make it level it looked like a ball of cloth was used in it's place. If your looking for a cheap place to stay this is your go to but if your going on a vacation I suggest you find a different hotel.

I'm never staying at this motel ever again & advice you to do so too. The issues were. . 1) bed bugs & roaches in some rooms 2) do not clean rooms even if ask them too 3) a/c unit didn't cool like supposed to 4) website said & showed pool but when got there pool was closed. 5) ice machine next to room broke & no ice buckets 6) we asked for towels & trash bags. The staff said they was out completely. We went & bought our own trash bags for the room. Towels we had to reuse the original 2 towels & 2 rags throughout our entire trip & they were 4 in our room. Or use our beach towels we brought from home. 5) no chairs outside to sit to enjoy the outside or to smoke. They want you to smoke outside but provide no places to sit. 6) the microwave in my room had to be sat in a chair bc where they had it located the plug was too short to plug up. 7) website said & showed continual breakfast but yet there was none & not even any coffee makers anywhere including the rooms.

Never had a worse experience in my life. This place completely stole my money. When we arrived after already booking a room, we found out our room was given to someone else before we got there. So we were put in a room that had probably NEVER been cleaned! After using a towel and the shower to wipe down the room so I could attempt to stay there I realized it was too much. We went down to get a refund (which was offered to us 30 minutes prior), but we’re told the room had been used to much because of the shower and towel I used to make the room even cleaner than it was before I decided I’d rather sleep in a dumpster than in that room. Our refund was then not offered and they not only took our money for the first night but the next night as well. The maintenance man then tried picking a fight with me and we decided to leave. I would rather eat razor blades than step one foot in this motel ever again! If you do decide to stay they definitely bring a hazmat suite with head gear for the experience. Worst place in America, easily

Our room was clean, which made us instantly happy. Location is prime - just 10 mins to downtown and 10 min to beach. Front desk people were not rude as well as not friendly, neutral . Price is good. Other people who stayed in the hotel looked sketchy, but they were just minding their work and are of no trouble.

The people who shared a five star review were most definitely employees or people who are paid to do it. The rooms are disgusting, the beds and furniture have stains and a funny smell to them. The bathrooms have mold and you can hear pipes rattling when people flush their toilets. Whoever is in charge of the grounds will do nothing about guests being loud and partying on the outside deck regardless of the time of night and you will pay a cleaning fee for this gross room whether you leave a mess or not and judging by how the room looks upon entry I'm not too sure what their cleaning people do. They give you a tv remote upon signing in but mine didn't work for my tv at all and others were complaining that they had gotten the wrong one and you will pay a fee if that's not returned as well. Not worth the price I should have just slept in my car.

Everything in one room was covered in black mold specks (even the walls), every linen and towel was stained, the outlets didn't work. 1 room didn't have towels, but doesn't matter because we went to home goods. No one wanted to use the towels. Everyone slept on top of the comforters. There were roaches. The remotes that they have you at the front desk do nothing for the tvs. The other room we got had slightly less mold, but still dirty towels. The bathroom doors don't shut. I don't think these rooms get cleaned in between visits, but I'm not even sure it would help when everything has stains and mold. Neighbors were drinking all night and leaving beer cans out front. Here's a picture of the lampshade. I knew it was cheap, but $100 is too much. You're better off sleeping in your car near a public restroom. Look I have been to cheap beach motels, but this was the scuzziest. Good luck. Honestly we would have been better off driving through the night.

Good location, but disgusting hotel! I've never had to check-out as soon as checking-in. It was probably worth $20/night, not $100 a night with a $150 deposit. There were white splashes all over the headboards, cigarette burns in the bedspreads, the shower was full of calcium deposits, the shower curtain was missing, the bathroom ceiling was peeling all over the floor, the toilet was leaking murky water, and the floor was gross. Even the outside door wouldn't latch, which is huge security issue. We brought our stuff in, looked around, and left demanding a refund. The lady at the desk was very nice and seemed embarrassed. We went to the Red Roof Inn next door that was the same cost and actually worth $100/night. They told us that the owners at Rodeway don’t perform maintenance which is why it looks so terrible. Don’t stay here.

The staff themselves were perfectly pleasant enough, but the state of the room was terrible. You could tell it wasn’t going to be great because half the door number signs were faded or handwritten. The room itself was awful. The fixtures looked dirty, the security lock on the top of the door was broken, there was an open can of jalapeños in the fridge from previous visitors which makes me question how well the rooms are cleaned between guests, there were holes in the blanket, one of the light switches was broken, you could barely open the bathroom door… not a relaxing place to stay on vacation. I understand you get what you pay for, but for like $125 non refundable, I’d expect at least a LITTLE better. The location was decent, close to a lot of necessities, and the staff were kind. If the rooms weren’t so terrible it COULD be a nice hotel. Unfortunately, with the state of things, it’s uncomfortable, dirty, and questionable on safety.

I would never ever stay here again the nastiest hotel I have ever been in it wasn't clean you have to pay a 150 deposit for broken stuff already and a 25 dollar fee if you lost the TV remote that's missing a back plus couldn't get channels on the TV and spiders coming out of the ac. To many people here living at the hotel running their mouth loud outside my room at 5 am

I usually stay here with not too many problems. This time the room was actually the cleanest room I have stayed in at this hotel. My only real complaint was the maintenance man playing inspector gadget. When I went to check out I return my remote control and two key cards and he approached me and told me I was smoking in the room for one I'm not a smoker my fiance doesn't smoke and he took a picture of a cup of cigarette butts that were behind the TV. I go inspect the rooms behind the TV looking for anything that might have been left for all I know he could have took that picture in another room. It was the way he approached me basically accusing me and then calling me a liar they don't usually charge me a deposit because they know my rooms are clean when I leave and I always return everything to the front desk not real happy with inspector gadget kind of ruined my perspective on this hotel.

I’ve had better for similar prices. But it got the job done. My bed was very comfortable, but they should definitely do a better job with picking cleaner linen to use. Don’t think I would return anytime soon. And make sure you bring your own shower shoes. Disclaimer you will have to pay a $100 deposit fee before checking in. I feel like that should be disclosed on the websites both main and third-party. But you do get the money back. I suppose with some of the guests they have that’s why they require it.

Please don't stay here! Cockroaches, unknown bugs, spiders, cobwebs (from the rooms not being cleaned in forever), bodily fluids on the mattress covers, a tv that doesn't work, a drawer that has a black bag with the last guests clothing in it and shady residents are all that you will find here. I can actually not believe that I paid $90 to stay in a room that was worse than a jail cell.

Dirty floors, crayon Mark's on walls, cracks in shower. Very sketchy people staying there. No pool. Roaches everywhere. Microwave cord couldn't be plugged up without moving to the floor. No remote to TV. Shower curtains didn't reach the tub, so water leaked everywhere. Will not ever stay there again.

I had reserved a King NS first floor room thru Choice Hotels. Arrived and was given a 2nd floor room with 2 queen beds with "workers" hanging out in the outside walkway. Smell of marijuana very strong. Was initially told there weren't any King rooms available but I just continued stating I reserved a King room and there had to be one. Was finally given one. Room very, very basic. No desk chair at the desk. Wires exposed in the corner of room, Microwave available but had to be turned on side on desk as plug in cord too short. No cups in room Very poor lighting in room. Two kleenex container but no kleenex in either container. Positive: Clean sheets but only a very think spread on top of sheets. Not a comfortable place that promoted a feeling of safety for a single woman. Glad I'm only here for one night.

I have never left a hotel review, but also never stayed in a room like this before. Our floor lamp had no lamp shade. Most outlets didn't work and were rusty. Normally there are two layers of curtains so since there were only layer the lights from the outside shone through all night. There was trash piled up in the parking lot. But I think the worst of it was the room itself. There was a used bar of soap left in the tub. We were left with one towel and no hand towels or wash cloths. The sheets had several stains. They weren't soil-like stains but what looked like black scuff marks and orange paint. I don't believe anything was wiped down. The floor was so dirty it left the soles on my white socks black. Although I knew I booked a 2 star hotel, and have stayed in several same rating hotels, this was very disappointing to know people keep their business like this.

Was actually surprised to find a clean room. Sheets smelled and looked clean. Shower and bathroom was cleaned and stain free. Plenty of parking if you have a trailer. Staff was a lil lazy and ghetto but they were friendly. Kinda some shady looking ppl around but not that bad. Area wad well lit and had cameras so I felt ok leaving my work truck out back.

The staff here was great. The room was not. I unfortunately didn’t take any pics. It smelled clean when you first walk in but you will soon realize that is not the case. For the price- we were able to sleep 🤷🏻‍♀️
