Ein Ort zum Runterkommen… Ich war am Wochenende im Sklulpturenpark in Wuppertal.wunderbar gelegen, etwas außerhalb aber gut erreichbar. Parkplätze sind reichlich vorhanden. Empfehlung für Parken: am ersten ausgeschilderten Parkplatz vorbei fahren Richtung Park, dann den nächsten ausgeschilderten Parkplatz nehmen, spart man sich den bergauf Weg. Die Kosten für den Eintritt sind schon heftig -12 Euro. Aber-man wird belohnt. Mit außergewöhnlichen Kunstwerken in einer wunderbaren Atmosphäre. Mitten im Wald stehen sie, Figuren, Monumente , Kunstwerke. Tony Cragg dominiert hier, viele seiner Werke kann man hier betrachten. Die Ruhe und Stille des Waldes erzeugen eine innige Atmosphäre, man kommt absolut zur Ruhe und ist bei sich selbst. Toll , dass es so etwas gibt, wirklich klasse.Nach dem Besuch im Wald noch auf ein Getränk im angrenzenden Café/Restaurant, und auch hier eine wunderbare Lage, ebenfalls eingebettet in die Natur. This is a lovely place, with beautiful buildings and forest paths. A great place to walk around and explore the forest and sculptures. I would say if you take your time it takes 1.5hr to 2hrs to see everything. The price is a little high but you can come and go throughout the day if you wanted to leave for a coffee.

Der Ort ist äußerst beeindruckend aufgrund seiner beträchtlichen Größe und seiner außergewöhnlichen Schönheit. Ich empfehle Buchen mit einer "Museumsführerin" es dauert leider eine Stunde, aber es lohnt sich. Besonders im Sommer ist der Ort am besten zu erkunden, und Sie haben sogar die Möglichkeit, in einem hervorragenden Restaurant vor Ort köstliche Mahlzeiten zu genießen. Es ist wahrlich ein Genuss für die Sinne! 🌞🍽️😊

Nice walk through the woods. The price of admission is a little high, especially considering the lack of variety in the sculptures... About half are by the same artist. I enjoyed some of the sculptures very much though. The entire place takes about 1-2 hours to visit and there is a nice view of Wuppertal.

Sehr schöner, gepflegter Wald mit interessanten Skulpturen, von namhaften Künstlern. Um die Werke alle ausgiebig zu betrachten, empfehle ich mindesten 2 Stunden. Es gibt 3 Parkplätze, die selbst an einem sonnigen Samstag nicht zu voll waren. 1 Stern Abzug wegen der nur teilweisen Barrierefreiheit, einige Wege sind sehr uneben oder steinig. Außerdem ist der Eintritt mit 12 € p.P. nicht gerade günstig.

Was a very big park, i didn’t expect it to be that big! Only the walk to the park was so stunning, so much view over the city!

Relqxed place to walk around and enjoy sculptures. Also the pavillions offer interesting expo's. Parking can be a challenge when the weather is good.

I think it’s the most unique place in Wuppertal. It’s amazing to walk between artwork of Tony Cragg, Henry Moore, Miró and other artists. Expect to spent approximately two hours to see all the sculptures. The museum has a shop with various books and the most interesting thing is they sell honey which comes from the bee hives located inside the park. There’s also café outside of the park. You need to walk uphill or park your car few minutes away from the entrance.

12 euros per person is too high in quote, group tickets for ten persons can come for 90 euros . Overall not a great place to visit, Skulpture lovers may like the place but not many.

Fantastic place! You can come to see great art from Tony Cragg or interesting new exhibitions with some famous artists , spend all day with your family and friends , attend the concerts in a summer time , check delicious food, great atmosphere and positive emotions!

I think its a great park with amazing art. What discourages people from going in is the rather steep price of 12 euros. I genuinely believe that the price should reduce a little so that more people visit this amazing place. people who are interested in sculpture: you will love this place people who are not artists: you will have to be brave enough to pay that money so u become art lovers.

Der Skulpturenpark von Tony Cragg ist in einem schönen Park mit alten Baumbestand integriert. Wenn man den Gehwegen folgt, kommt man automatisch an den sehr verschieden Skulpturen vorbei. Für Liebhaber dieser Kunstform wahrscheinlich ein Muss. Kostenlose Parkplätze sind vorhanden in der Nähe. Eintritt derzeit 12 Euro.

Der Skulpturenpark ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir waren begeistert. 3 Stunden sind wir durch den Park gewandert. Ja, man kann es mit einer Wanderung vergleichen, wenn man sich auf den Weg macht und jede Ecke entdecken möchte. Schön beim Anstieg zum Eingang, wir hatten das Auto um Fuß der Hügels geparkt, begrüßen uns schon Skulpturen entlang des Weges. Dringend zu empfehlen ist gutes Schuhwerk, wie auf der Seite des Parks beschrieben.

Der Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden in Wuppertal erwies sich als eine wahrhaft beeindruckende Entdeckung, die unseren spontanen Ausflug perfekt abrundete, nachdem wir das Tanztheater Wuppertal besucht hatten. Der Park, der von Tony Cragg gegründet wurde, bietet nicht nur eine harmonische Verbindung zwischen Kunst und Natur, sondern überrascht auch mit einer faszinierenden Vielfalt an Skulpturen. Eine der herausragenden Eigenschaften des Parks ist zweifellos die großzügige Anordnung der Skulpturen. Trotz der Vielzahl an Kunstwerken hatten die Skulpturen stets ausreichend Raum, um für sich selbst zu "wirken". Diese sorgfältige Platzierung ermöglichte es uns, jede Skulptur in ihrer Einzigartigkeit zu betrachten und ihre individuelle Ausdruckskraft zu schätzen. Die beeindruckende Vielfalt der Skulpturen im Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden war für uns eine wahre Offenbarung. Ein weiterer Aspekt, der den Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden auszeichnet, ist die makellose Pflege und Wartung des Geländes. Die Wege waren gut gepflegt, und die Grünflächen wirkten stets einladend. Die großzügige Anordnung der Skulpturen, ihre beeindruckende Vielfalt und die sorgfältige Pflege des Parks machten diesen Ausflug zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Für Kunstliebhaber und Naturgenießer gleichermaßen ist der Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden in Wuppertal ein absolutes Muss.

Beautiful amenity in Wuppertal. Amazing Sculpture Park with many monumental Sculpture pieces from Tony Cragg to Henry Moore to Sean Scully. The park restaurant serves delicious food, deserts and coffee with excellent service.

A bit of a hike. Definitely not PWD friendly. Price to enter the full exhibit was 12€ per adult. Good price considering what you get.

The whole place is aesthetic and wonderful if the weather is pleasant. You can take your time there to really delve into the art. The place also has several places to sit down and chill out for a bit and the whole ambiance is just calm, quiet and peaceful. I loved it. Perfect for a nice peaceful day.

The sculptures that adorned the space were nothing short of extraordinary. Each piece exuded a remarkable level of artistry and craftsmanship, captivating the attention and engaging the imagination. The selection and placement of these sculptures demonstrated a keen curatorial eye, further enhancing the overall aesthetic experience.

A spontaneous visit having seen that there was an exhibition of works by Anish Kapoor. There are some excellent sculptures, including a Henry Moore and a Miro. We only had an hour before closing but could easily have spent at least double that time exploring the exhibits. It isn't for the faint hearted and not suitable for anyone with limited mobility. Accessible by steep roads and then a network of steep, rough paths but well worth a visit.

Lovely park with some of the most impressive works of Tony Cragg. Nice walking path along all of the sculptures. Also interesting old building from the famous Herberts factory owner, nicely restaurated. Especially great during spring and summer times, when it's warm and cosy. Some of the smaller Exhibitions are still great and they sometimes have open air music events. The restaurant has tasty snacks. Overall recommendation, at least visit this place once!

We visited this sculpture park with German friends and were absolutely astonished by the Tony Cragg sculptures. Particularly in combination with the surrounding nature those made quite an impression on us. Definitely worth a visit!

No explanations for the arts made it pretty hard to grasp without a guide. I was simply unable to grasp the ideas behind art. I sit down in cafe and watched some Tony Cragg videos to be able to understand his thinking while he was creating those sculptures. He mentioned, feeling emotions when he see those art however I was way too far to feel any emotions unfortunately. Wish he could either attach a story or how he feels like for those sculptures.

It's like a walk in the park. A few flatter sculptures are hung on the wall, the rest are fine where they sit, since they weigh four tons each.

Absolutely best experience possible experiencing sculptural art in Wuppertal and probably unbeatable in Germany

Nice place, poetic and (on a rainy day) not too full. Most of the artworks look a bit alike.
