【冬の結城とつくばの旅】結城紬で見世蔵めぐり「つむぎの館」
結城紬を身に纏ったら、結城を代表する建築物「見世蔵」などの蔵造りをめぐります。蔵造りとは外壁を土塗り漆喰仕上げで厚く塗り籠めた木造防火建築の事で、古代から建築され続けた伝統的な工法だそう。
結城にはそんな明治初期や大正期に建築された蔵造りの建物が現在も多く残り、紬問屋や老舗の商店として利用されています。
先ず訪れたのが、ドラマの舞台にもなった紬問屋の老舗奧順さん、併設するつむぎの館は、本場結城紬の展示をはじめショップやカフェを併設し、染織の体験もできる施設です。
この日は残念ながら休館日だったのですが特別にお庭を見学させていただけました。ここがまた素晴らしい庭園で、どこを切り取っても画になる!終始笑いの絶えない撮影タイム。いただいた写真の楽しそうな笑顔に自分自身驚きました。
そしてあまりの履きやすさに本気で買って帰ろうかと悩んだ桐下駄。結城の桐下駄は軽くて通気性が良く、肌触りが最高!まったく足も痛くならず、結城紬同様とくかくその身に着けやすさに感動しました。
