This could be one of the most delicious food I have experienced in Yangon. The food shop is right in the central of city with varied choice for food not only noodle as the name. Very nice decoration in each dish they delivered and taste are very featuring from the local. Moreover, the cost is very reasonable for the load of food we took. The staff is also attentive. It is good to come back and try another different dishes.

This was the only place in Yangon where I had shan noodles, though I would imagine it would be hard to beat the quality of this wonderful little restaurant. It definitely feels as though it caters to tourists, but it still has a very real local charm. I came alone, and since there is very limited seating, I was seated at the last remaining chair at a table where several locals were enjoying their lunch which was a very fun and authentic experience. Service is great and the prices are simply fantastic. Although the menu is very large, for best results, try their signature shan noodles dish along with perhaps a Myanmar milk tea, both of which were exceptionally delicious.

Quite overrated. Soup for the Shan sticky noodles was quite tasteless, with only a bit of salty and spicy taste. Sticky noodles was quite interesting though, chewy like ricecake, but not really my cup of tea. Fried flat rice noodles tasted good but was too oily. Staff were entertaining.

very delicious and super reasonable pricing. Must try the noodles (sticky / non-sticky, soup / dry), fried fish, stir fried vegetables and dumpling soup. The tofu and prok ribs dishes were mediocre. *dont go to the branch at junction city (food court setting)*

Because I’m a believer that the best way to discover a culture is through the food - just tried the famous Shan Noodle at 999 Shan Noodle Shop, a spotless hole-in-the-wall & sought after restaurant in Yangon. The owner & staffs are so welcoming & friendly. The food here is to die for! 😋👌 (Shan noodle & fried tofu)

Heard about this place in a gudie book and a couple of blogs. This was our first introduction into Myanmar/Burmese cuisine. I ordered the sticky noodle salad which was packed full of flavour and textures, I'm so happy to of started this culinary journey here as it was the perfect full of friendly staff, hungry locals and the odd like minded tourist. It's a simple restaurant, little wooden stools with a good sized menu of what I now know to be some Shan regional classics! My partner had the sticky noodle soup and we shared a plate of spring rolls. Everything came out hot and beautifully presented! Complimentary tea and broth is a really nice touch. It's very reasonably priced and I can't fault it 🙏 we ate here twice, the second time we ordered the tea leaf salad and some tofu which were also delicious. The tea leaf was spicy but not enough to put me off as I'm not big on spice. Full of flavours, sweet, salty, spicy, sour and varied textures. I've been a chef for over 12 years and I can't tell you how much it pleases me when I find a place like this. So thank you everyone at 999 Shan Noodle Shop 🙏

From a female solo traveler’s perspective, this place is very welcoming! Place is clean, has pictured menu in English and the staff is super friendly. They have so many varieties of noodles I’m looking forward to coming back again. Major credit like visa and MC accepted.

I had lunch here when I was part of my school's tour group over 2 years ago. Although this place is a bit compacted and it's a bit hot. You can't really blame them since you are not a huge chain restaurant. There was even a fly that drown in my soup while I'm eating! But the food is great, delicious local Burmese cuisine. It's sour, salty and it's just right. I will always remember that one of the guy here flip the salt 360° and slammed it back onto my table like a boss, unforgettable! I also met a fellow Chinese lady who going around the country, it was an amazing experience

Can I please rate this place more! Literally, this is most sought after restaurant in Yangon, and it’s full of tourists, backpackers, locals, all sharing tables to get a chance at some of the amazing Shan noodles in town!! Wow! Moderately priced, great service, very clean hygenic, and somehow they manage their crowd very well, hardly any waiting times. What to have here, moist everything!! Make sure to be here once every day while in Yangon! Won’t find these noodles anywhere in the world

This restaurant deserves its 4+ rating! It is located in a local neighbourhood. I visited after 13:00 but still full of people. I ordered sticky noodle salad, bbq tender pork and chicken/potato balls. The service was quite fast and all dishes tasted nice! I only spent less than 10,000 MMK for this meal. Definitely recommend it!!!

A classic since 1978. The food is quality and a good representation of Shan cuisine. The owner is kind, and cheeky. Most dishes can be made vegetarian. If you leave Yangon without going here, you made a mistake. Hype it up!

I saw this place on the map and the reviews lead me to there. Most of the customers are tourists. There are a lot of people during lunch time. Hygiene and clean. The food tastes good. The price is normal.

👍 This place serves seafood priorities. Hot and spicy is their specialty. Don't try these in Yangon hot season. 👍 First of all, it is worth using money for foodies. The place is really nice and tidy. And their service and rules are good, too. The food is what I want to give ratings the most. Various kinds of food available there, including seafood, which will make you feel like you are relaxing in the beach.
