Went to this hotel during a winter storm. They said that breakfast would be delivered to our door how ever they told us to come in and get it. And we were outside in another building so had to walk in a storm to get anything. During our time our cars were stuck. I asked for a shovel and it took some convincing to let me borrow it To shovel out THEIR walk way for them because we couldnt get out of the door to get my my car… I asked if there is anyone coming in this room later today and they said no, so I asked if we could stay a little later till the roads are clear… they said unless I want to pay for another night I can’t. Terrible customer service. The room was beautiful but didn’t care about us during a storm

We booked this hotel last minute after our originally booked hotel was dirty and not up to standards. I was hesitant on booking this as there was no picture of the room on the site. I'm glad I did though. We had the whirlpool and fireplace room. I'm surprised this was only 2 stars considering this hotel room was amazing, a lot better than our 3 star hotel that was originally booked. Receptionists were nice and friendly. The only thing that left me sour was on Aug 3rd, our checkout was 11am. The housekeeper knocked on our door at 11:02am and actually asked us why were still there when checkout was a few minutes ago. She was rather rude. We were late because I had to use the washroom. We have never ever been kicked out of a hotel before especially not within 2 minutes of checkout time. This was our last day so this was our last memory of this place, unfortunately it left a sour taste in what otherwise would have been a 5/5 experience.

We stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites in Charlottetown June 2022. Right off the bat, the location is excellent for a downtown Charlottetown experience. We parked the car at the hotel after check in. Then walked to many things down at the water front and surrounding area. That was the main purpose for us staying there and it worked out well. The hotel was a nice place, but not perfect. But more than not, it got things right. Parking was decent. Breakfast was decent. The staff were all nice. The room was nice with nice furniture and layout. The bed was comfortable, as were all the chairs. The shower was a little tall and could present issues for older folks with mobility issues. But not too bad. Although it could use a place to hang a towel. Speaking of towels. This inn uses decent size and soft towels, which is a plus. And I like the RFID type of key cards that read the card without having to swipe the card to open the door to your room. The silly little things that can make you smile. The things that kept it from five stars are minor things that seem to matter to me, but maybe not others. But I would rather not go into the nit picky things and stay mostly positive about this inn. It really is a nice place to stay in a great location, if that location is where you want to be. So yes I do recommend them.

We had a bed bug infestation in our room and it took them hours to do anything about it. Not a single apology was given for the major inconvenience and risks of spreading, only a room refund. I woke up at 4am and found little bugs all over our bed. I caught one and squished two to show the front desk. Unfortunately this was already our second night in the room, meaning we probably were bitten. Our luggage was placed right at the foot of the bed so all our clothes were also at risks of having bed bugs and we were only half way through our maritimes trip. The management kept telling us this was above their jurisdiction and that the higher level management is coming to handle it. EVEN AFTER WE CAUGHT AND SHOWED THEM THE BUG. They made us wait hours and then told us that the pest control wouldn’t be able to show up on Thanksgiving Monday. As guests, how you decide to handle the infestation is not my concern, but rather my luggage and clothes that are huge potential carriers of the bed bugs. All they offered for compensation was a room refund. Check your bed thoroughly with the lights off, before sleeping in their beds.

What a great Quality Inn. Warm welcome, nice big well maintained room in Sutherland building. Table service for breakfast which was cooked to order. Location was easy to find, plenty of parking, and an easy walk into the main town area and wharfside.

We arrived at 3am and were met at the door by the night clerk, with courtesy and efficiency. We were tired and just wanted to get to bed - and he got us looked after! Everyone else we met at this facility was courteous and efficient. The location is close to many other businesses and quite convenient. Highly recommended.

Stayed here August 8 and 9 2023. Fantastic hotel. We stayed in the suite. It is definitely worth the extra money. Bigger bedroom and a nice bathroom and living room. Very clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good. Short walk to downtown restaurants and entertainment and shopping. You won't regret your stay here.

This was my best experience in a Choice Hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The included hot breakfast was great and we really appreciated the included parking. They also had lots of bathrooms in the lobby and free tea, coffee, and water was always available. It’s very close to downtown, and 10 minute walk to the wharfs. Very convenient for exploring Charlottetown, but far enough from the main strip so it’s quiet. Our room was big and comfortable and included all of the expected amenities (hair dryer, toiletries, lots of towels, etc.). Overall we were very impressed with the value of the hotel and had a great stay.

Excellent hotel! Very clean with hot breakfast. My only wish was for a pool but other than that, absolutely perfect. I’m one of those people that can’t stand old musty smells and the first thing I do, is check for bed bugs. This place was super clean with no issues. Highly recommended!!

Often stay at this hotel. My experience is usually excellent. Decided to stay in Sutherland house on one occasion. My room had a locked connecting door to adjacent room. Sound proofing was terrible only to be woken up at 3:00 am by loud guests coming back from downtown. My room number was 3204. Never had this problem in main building.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel a week after a major storm occurred in the Prince Edward Island area. Customer service was excellent, the room was clean, and the hot breakfast was very good. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed there 1st weekend of July & Sept. pop machine & ATM still broken months later. Dining room still wasn’t open at supper. They said short staffed. Rooms were clean, needs some updating. Very old twisty light bulbs that buzzed in the lamps. LED’s would be more energy efficient & make the dingy rooms brighter. We noticed both times the shower water wasn’t as hot as years before. The desk lamp, microwave, fridge, cable box & TVs were all plugged into 2 socket with extension cords. When the fridge came on the tv turned off. Had to move rooms. Beds were a bit too soft and pillows are half the size of a standard pillow. We bring our own pillows. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Great location, can park and walk everywhere. Ran out of white bread & orange juice our second day at 7:30am.

This hotel was booked for us after our house burned down on Monday, we were very happy when we got the the booking ,and there was one lady who was soo soo polite, lovely and everything you want your staff to be.. We thought this is the best stay even in our circumstances. My disappointment with this hotel is 2 fold.Monday night we found out our bath tub doesnt plug all the way so we had to use a plastic cup to keep the water from draining. But this was corrected and we were moved to a better room, happy days!! But they have a little leaflet in the room that states “due to covid,if you want your room cleaned, you have to request it” its not verbatim but thats close. I even asked one of the lovely housekeepers how it works and she said “ request it at front desk”, But when I did i was told that due to covid they can not clean the rooms, its policy, ……MAYBE they can clean it for you if you stay more than 5 days. We have been here since Tuesday or Wednesday. Our checkout date is tomorrow but our adjuster was going to renew the booking as we have been doing since day one. When i mentioned this , I was told yeah maybe after its rebooked ..so besides covid and 5 day cleaning policy, theres no point to clean it if we check out which I totally agree with cuz whats the point if we are leaving, right ,so the covid or 5 day stay point is moot i know if we leave the next day. I just think that -that should have been the initial reason given for not cleaning.. saying the opposite of what your covid policy states is why i am Confused. We were meant to be here long term until we found a more permanent apartment while our house gets rebuilt.we have been here from monday so I had to go out and buy cleaning supplies out of pocket to clean,I have a baby girl and I can not give her a bath with out properly cleaning the bathroom. I did not expect the cleaning to be done every day obviously, but please put the 5 day cleaning policy on the leaflet or maybe say you reserve the right to accept or deny any cleaning requests. We are checking out and moving due to the above reasons ,we even tried asking for a vacuum but nope, cant have it.lol So We bought our own, our daughter needs us to be clean.yes she makes the messes but after 4 days some good old thorough cleaning is good for the soul. The food was great though. Complimentary gift card for staying more than 3 days was amazing ,(giving credence to my point about them knowing we our adjuster and the hotel know we were gonna be here longer than 4 days). Thanks for the gift cards though. You really helped. Truly.

We stayed here for a few days before and when hurricane Fiona hit. Front desk staff were always very pleasant and helpful. The hot breakfast was excellent and our waitress every morning was so sweet. Even on the Saturday and Sunday after the storm they scrounged us up some muffins and cereal bars. We were extremely lucky that the hotel got power back after two days. The suite was very large . Not super modern or updated but very comfortable. Maid service was optional and you could always request extra supplies and they'd remove your garbage daily.

They weren't ready for us, even though we were late arriving...only had enough room keys for one per room. Room wasn't well vacuumed (found candy on the floor). Beds were comfy.

Stayed for 10 days in July and overall excellent experience. Most helpful was "Jenn" at the front desk who helped us accommodate special needs in our family. Very clean rooms, food in restaurant was good, service was good. Location is excellent.

Wonderful two night stay in Charlottetown. Check-in was quick and easy. We were assigned a king room in one of two quiet historic exterior buildings which shared the parking lot with the main hotel building. Our room was large, clean , and well equipped with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Breakfast was very good and served to us instead of buffet style. Staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The location is excellent, very close to good restaurants and only a 15 minute walk to the waterfront area. Photo is of a restaurant along the waterfront.
