I had a memorable experience here in 2019. We had a group of 10 and arrived about 9:30pm. The sweet lady we met there was the waiter, chef, etc. We were incredibly hungry and couldn’t wait to eat so 2 of us joined the chef in kitchen to help even though she declined our offer to help several times. It was like a cooking class😍. We just chopped some veggies and stirred a simmering pot but we got to ask questions about some of the ingredients. A friend of hers came by to drop off supplies and said “Great you got some people to help!”. She was shocked when the chef said we were patrons at the restaurant. That gave us a good laugh🤣. When dinner was ready we had some honey wine that was sweet and absolutely delicious with our equally delicious dinner. I can’t wait to visit this restaurant again!!!

I came in half a hour after opening, but she actually just opened, so the place looked closed. Since I was looking forward to sit down and eat here I asked if I could come in or should come back later. I stayed :) Not a very chatty place which made me feel slightly uncomfortable. As I looked around I noticed the place did not give me the same positive vibe as I got from the website. I'd suggest they do not use Youtube for the music (incl. the many advertisements), fix the broken 'Mosob' and maybe start welcoming people in a bit more. Also, my reservation was not confirmed, but since I was the only one there this wasn't a problem. The 'Sambusa' with meat was tasteful and the main course 'Mogogo' with meat delicious. An experience with mixed feelings.

Awful place. I went on a first date with a guy and the server/owner turned to my date and made a joke about how my small asian eyes make it hard for me to see the menu in dutch while we ordered. My date then laughed. I had no idea and paid for my meal but if i had known, i would have gotten up and left immediately. Very unpleasant all around.

Very nice food. The owner lady is very nice. Yes the food took 45mns to arrive but it's all made fresh and very good quality. I recommend the place.

Amazing food, the lady is so kind and nice. We pre ordered and went to pick up an hour later. Really, the food is well cooked and delicious.👌

It's a very different experience... we eat with our hands ... the service is just super and the food so good!!! Ah and try the mango beer ahahah

Delicious Eritrean/Ethiopian food, you have to wait for sometime as it seems the restaurant runs only by two persons. I highly recommend it.

This is literally a one woman show. The food is authentic and a good taste of Eritrea. Do not expect to come here and eat right away. It's one amazing woman who is in charge of everything and she puts her heart and love into the food. Be sure to try the banana or coconut beer!

Everything is freshly cooked (so yes, prepare to wait for a bit longer than you might be used to) and the flavours are amazing! Keep rediscovering this restaurant every once in a while and its always equally delicious!

Delicious Eritrean food served in creative and beautiful ways. Seems to be run by only two people, which makes it all the more impressive. Portions were large and the meat so tasty. The vegetarian option could do with a little more. However, one of our party had been there earlier and had different things when ordering the same veggie dish. Since it was their mix dish I suppose that they make changes to it depending on what is best or available. All in all delicious!!

Lovely food!!! So good! Also really nice options for vegans/vegetarians. We are all used to go to places who have a fancy interior, but don't let the tradition look of this restaurant hold you back. The food is amazing!!

My favourite restaurant in the Hague. Made by 1 lady and the cuisine taste very authentic (i think, as i never been to eritrea) and delicious. Especially recommended if like South East Asian delicacy. If confused by menu just order mogogo mix

I had my first Eritrean course tonight. The food at Mogogo is absolutly worth waitng for, it is so delicious!

Food is good but it took one hour to get served. And it was not even busy.

me and my friend had a great time eating here! It took a while for our food to be ready as is often the case with good food. We are both vegetarian and ordered the chickpeas and lentils. I make these dishes myself pretty often but it truly showed that someone with a mastery of a cuisine makes food that is significantly better tasting, smelling and looking than an amateur cook like me! The lady who did the service for us was very friendly. We realise that restaurants have a hard time financially right now so it would be nice for any visitors to order drinks to support the restaurant.
