Mega promotion at la place, coffee and cake for €1

Food was good but very poor service. At the breakfast buffet I asked the lady behind it whether a bowl of jam also counts as a breakfast 'item'. The lady reacted grumpily and looked at me as if I were an alien... at the breakfast buffet there were also focaccia sandwiches, next to the croissants and cheese, etc. So I took one... final score at the cash register, the woman says that the foccassia sandwiches not included in the breakfast buffet but costs €1.50 separately. I say to that person why is there no sign or something because this is a bit misleading. She says yes, I know, it shouldn't be there yet, I will remove it. Instead of apologizing because I felt misled in her store and saying you can have that sandwich for free because of the confusion, she makes me pay and acts as if nothing happened. At La Place megastores the customer is not king.

A pity they did not have the sausage role I would have liked. So I just had a coffee.

Usually it’s ok for lunch, but today the pumpkin soup was awful: a water with taste of pumpkin and over-fried garlic. Can’t eat more than two spoons of it - so terrible it was (and I generally like pumpkin soup).

Very nice food

It was very disappointing, the trays had not been cleaned properly, there was not enough sauce on our sandwich and the chicken was very dry. There were no "normal" plates but only plastic plates. We often eat at de la place, but I expect a little more when my sandwiches cost 6 euros each.

Best veggie grilled sandwich ever!
