The family running the hotel was exceedingly hospitable and literally ran from floor to floor to ensure our stay was effortless. With spacious traditional Japanese rooms and your own facilities we had a comfortable rest, however the largest convenience was an entire floor dedicated to ski facilities. Complete with a drying room, ski hire if needed, boot room and charging areas it was simply a handful of steps from there to the waiting buses and drivers ready whisk you off to any number of surround ski resorts. Speaking of which, the hotel was able to recommend which slopes to go to suit the weather and your style as well as able to offer heavily discounted passes with no prejudicial favouritism, they just want to ease your travels and for you to enjoy yourself. The endless buffet breakfasts provide ample sustenance and cater to every taste. I would like to once again than the staff for their service, advice and how the ensure we could get anywhere in Yuzawa.

Perfect hotel for skiing and snowboarding. Although it’s not beside the train station but there’s shuttle available. Shuttle can go to the station and skiing resorts as well. Nice and clean room, public hot spring is also clean. Breakfast is good. Reception have discount lift ticket, also the rental is cheap. Staffs are great! Highly recommended.

Rented a 6 person Japanese style room for 4 people for a weekend ski trip. Location is a little tucked away from the road, we missed it the first time around. The room itself was very clean and came with green tea bags, snacks and preheated hot water on the table when walked in. Sleeping on the futons was very comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly and spoke a bit of English. Renting snowboarding equipment was very quick and simple, and VERY cheap compared to other places we looked online. Also offers discounted single day lift tickets, but buying multiday bundles might be cheaper. Paid for the breakfast, which was a Japanese style breakfast with a lot of food. Staff was accommodating with non-standard diets (though tell them beforehand). Onsen was very nice and clean (has both indoor and outdoor onsens), room included yukatas for you to wear after going to the onsen. Overall would definitely recommend and we enjoyed our stay there.

It's japanese style hotel...you can stay here for 6 people...big room..very good for family..they have onsen..the breakfast and dinner was very nice and dinner you must book earlier. very close to Iwaparra Ski Resort..Not many restaurant or shop...10 minutes to Lawson Mart

5 stars for its price-to-value ratio A Japanese hotel with spacious room and kind hospitality. Its facilities look old but they are all keeping at very good condition. Most of the area and rooms are kept clean and tidy. They can arrange check-in and check-out pickup before 18:00 from Echigo Yuzawa Station. An ideal hotel for ski/snowboard, they have run their own shuttle bus picking up from some of nearby ski resorts. You have to check with them for latest info and deals. They also have very reasonable price for rental too, we had rented two snowboards in this trip. Their breakfast buffet was nice with sufficient choice among Japanese and Western styles. Their onsen is just enough for you to relax after a day of snowboarding.

Stayed in a beautiful corner room, more than enough space for three.

We had a wonderful stay at the Yuzawa Yuzawa Denkiya hotel. The room was clean and spacious. Front desk was helpful and friendly. They provide free shuttles to and from Echigoyuzawa station, and to many other major ski resorts around the area (even at last minute notice!). The hotel is a a 5-minute walk from Iwappara-Ski-jō-mae Station, and a 10-minute walk from Iwappara ski resort.
