Our stay was way above my expectations! The host was so welcoming and the decor was adorable and put us back in time in the best way possible. In the morning we had local products at the table and the breakfast was so filling and different each day. We stayed in the Solis room, and I would go back again to try the other rooms that looks as beautiful and comfy. 11/10 definitely recommends

Fortuna Spinoza is easily one of the best B&B stays we have had. Check-in was private - no waiting, no fuss. Our room was perfectly ready, and we had also received an email from the host with detailed instructions. A lot of thought has gone into the details - a TV that turns into a night lamp with a beautiful glowing picture, complimentary baked goods to enjoy with tea, sheets with organic linen and netflix ready for viewing. We probably enjoyed breakfast the most - a very personable experience where we got to know the hosts. We personally prefer thoughtful, seasonal and good-quality ingredients to large meaningless buffet spreads, and this breakfast experience was definitely a highlight. We actually loved the location - a direct bus to Amsterdam, but also very quiet and typically Dutch. In fact, we probably should go back as we did not end up exploring the town as much as we wold have liked. Thank you, Babette and Rozia for a lovely stay!

The ease of access and openness of the hostess were excellent for me, and I was a first time traveller to the Netherlands. The breakfast was about as high on quality and enjoyment as I could expect, and the room looked like a five star room as does the house and in fact the entire street (De Zarken). Unless avoiding learning the buses or using Uber is a thing, the distance from Amsterdam can be the only thing holding you back from staying here. I liked the separation to avoid being surrounded by the immensity that is central Amsterdam. I selected both high value and luxury under tags because $250 a night was a great deal after I saw my room for the first time and then also had breakfast. The internet there is fast enough for you to stream movies as is evidenced by each room having a TV configured with Netflix, and 1080p watching saw no bottlenecks.

Such an amazing experience we had staying at Fortuna Spinoza. Everything here is made to delight you: the beautifully decorated rooms, the grandiose house, the impeccable garden, the vintage furniture, the fresh flowers in the entrance arranged in a perfect bouquet... Not forgetting of course the amazing breakfast and the hostess' attentions in arranging details of your trip with local providers, such as bike or boat rental. We couldn't expect more from our stay and this experience made us fall in love (again) with the Dutch countryside. Thank you!!!!

Beautiful house, beautiful rooms, lovely service and breakfast. There are some furniture from 1720s. The bed design is also neoclassic. The garden is very pretty and living room is cozy. A very special experience.

Never had a hotel as amazing as this. The details spend to give a guest a cozy and unique experience is unlike i have everything experienced before. The hostes has great tips on what to do in monnickedam or amsterdam. Truly brilliant experience.

An exceptional B&B, we loved everything about it and were truly sad we had to leave. The rooms are so beautifully decorated with an attention to the last detail. Breakfast was delicious and super fresh. The host is such a nice and kind person and made sure we had everything we needed. There is a beautiful garden one can enjoy on a sunny day. And the surrounding area has lots to offer.

My wife and I stayed two nights a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic room - Hubris. Large bathroom with bathtub. Bedroom and living area, and closet are all spacious, well-kept. We felt like royals. The owner and the manager are very responsive and kind. We would like to come back. And we recommend this place to our friends.
