Basic,
but
good.
The
room
was
clean.
The
en-suite
was
lovely.
We
had
the
basement
room,
which
was
a
twin.
There
was
a
large
window
which
meant
lots
of
fresh
air.
The
staff
were
all
warm
and
friendly
and
happy
to
help.
The
hotel
is
close
to
the
centre
of
the
city,
so
there
are
eateries,
pubs,
coffe-shops
and
a
club
across
the
road.
This
is
not
the
place
to
be
if
you
want
peace
and
quiet.
Bear
that
in
mind
when
you
book.
That
said,
we
were
untroubled
by
any
noise.
There
is
a
tram
stop
within
a
couple
of
hundred
yards.
Bring
flip-flops
to
wear
in
the
shower!
There
are
no
anti-slip
mats
to
be
had
in
Amsterdam
There
are
no
tea
or
coffee
making
facilities
in
the
room,
but
there
is
a
coffee
and
hot
drinks
machine
in
reception.
Drinks
from
the
machine
are
free
in
the
morning.
Like
most
Amsterdam
traditional
buildings,
the
stairs
are
narrow
and
steep.
There
is
no
lift.
Sadly,
due
to
that,
the
building
is
not
disabled
friendly.
There
are
ground
floor
rooms
though,
so
ask
when
you
book.
All-in-all,
I
thought
the
place
was
excellent
value
and
would
happily
stay
there
again
for
another
short
break.
