Great food and a great host. Portuguese French food and the best Portuguese wines you can find in the Netherlands

Great service, pretty ambiance. The hosts are very friendly and give you the feeling you are very much appreciated. We ordered the menu. The foods look very good on the plate and more importantly : taste very good! The white wine that fits good with the fish is very nice! With the sweet dessert we had a wine which was not too sweet, for the first time in my life I actually liked the dessert wine!

A gem of a restaurant in Deventer, everything we had was delicious and fresh. A family owned restaurant now in the hands of the grandson of the original founder, who has kept true to his Portuguese roots. We could also take our medium sized dog along with us, and were still given a beautiful table inside, tolerant and supportive staff catered to us since the beginning of our experience. Well done, we will be back soon.

After positive experience some years ago this time is was disappointingly. Sharing comments on the main dish was not appreciated and the exchange was ended abruptly.

Portions are relatively small in relation to the pricing. Positive criticism was not appreciated by the owner. Exchange was abruptly ended.

Nice place, good food and friendly staffs.

Very nice ambient, and very well prepared food. The restaurant is managed by the owner and he is very passionate about the wine and the food. Each dish has a story to tell, and each wine a journey and a very good reason to be in Deventer. If I did not know any better I would believe that each dish and wine are actual people with own characters and souls. Maybe they are? Thanks again for showing that food is more than something you put down your gob.

Not only this place is great, so is it owner and food. The owner has a fantastic story about each wine you take and food you will eat, that he will happily share with you. The food is excellent.. really you should not visit Deventer without visiting this place, you will miss out on some really good food, and hospitality.

I had expected more. The menu du patron is very limited, which is ok, but the taste is average, too much taste enhancer like garlic, or sauce, overpowering all the other ingredients.

What an amazing thing, to have a fully Portuguese experience in one of the most beautiful cities of the Netherlands! This restaurant is clearly a labor of love. Well done! Keep it up!
