Absolutely amazing, authentic Indonesian/ Nusantara food. You can taste the spices and NONE of the dishes are watered-down versions to suit local tastes. Very reasonable prices, friendly staff happy to assist with any questions.

Great toko with a lot of interesting sauces and spices. I've come in here for a lot of my shopping and have had a good experience with finding what I need. The staff is very helpful. It can be a little difficult to navigate the shop because the items are all along a long wall. This makes it necessary for customers to walk single file in order to get through the store and makes it a little difficult to double back. Still a great store with awesome selection!

Meeste dure plaats voor allees ! Every product they charge 3 or 4 times more than the normal price + quality not great it's just normal . I wouldn't recommend this place !

Hello every one . I'm Dj and I live in Zaandam. If you are in Zaandam and you need or you want to try Indonesian cuisines or snacks also Asian herbs & sauces then I suggest you to visit Toko Gembira. Toko Gembira is one of the best in Zaandam. It is a family comp which spreads in several big cities in NL. The cuisines are fresh and delicious. The product as the herbs or the sauces are complete. And it van be trust too. Coz everyday they always check their products (. First in - first out). If the products of the herbs almost out of the datum then they are going to sell those products for sale. Otherwise they throw those products away. I've never seen the over datum products in Toko Gembira. Compliment. The home made cuisines that they make are fresh and tastefully. Please try their Market food such as lemper; risoles, martabaj asin . Wow yummy2. In their chiller they sell also the cuisines which already being prepared box by box. One of my favourite is The Fried Squid . The squid are prepared with a gently herbs taste and it's very tender. Especially the chilli peppersauce which being served in the box is amazing. Its not too spicy and fresh coz they use also the clementies ( green small orange ) and it is also a homemade. The sellers are very kind , helpfull & upseller. Very goed. The shop is tidy and bright. It's very eye catching. The couloyrs are beautiful of each cuisines products which being plated on their food display. Every time when I come there I always buy more then I eng to buy coz lots of choices and the food & the snacks are yummy2. Try it ! The price is rather expensive but they give you a nice clean & hygiene toko, variety of foods & products, a good atmosphere to go coz the nice products are the server are amazing friendly, they knowledgeable of their products, honest, warm, efficient, helpful. Was expecting better. White rice is very dry and hard and same goes to Tempe. Probably they have been cooked long and lost the freshness. Mackerel is too salty. Staff are friendly though and welcoming.

Unbeatable selection. If they don't have it then you have a problem. It's also cheap while at the same time of the highest quality. I go here once a month, not just to get my exotic ingredients but also staples like pepper and cinnamon

My favorite go to place for ready to eat Indonesian food.. Love the staff and the Asian food groceries and other food stuff they offer to their customers. Everything is decently priced.

There are many food options that buyers can choose from, and they are tasty! There were also various indonesian and(or) asian products here. Location is also great (near zaandam central station). There were no dine-in tables, though.

Delicious take away, with many options and friendly stuffs. Would definitely recommend to anyone visit around here.
