What a shame, the quality just dropped to zero since our last visit in march. Lavash they use is low quality, beyti is not good as suggested special. Kofte amount is not sufficient for 10 euros (i mean durum).

It was my first time at a Turkish restaurant and I've loved everything. We decided to try the place because it looked good from reviews and pics, and we for sure weren't disappointed. We ate a Mix Grill in two (you could also eat it on your own, it depends on how hungry you are) in order to try a bit of everything. The meat was excellent and perfectly spiced and savoured. The lamb was delicious! Also the salad and the pita were so tasty and the spicy sauce was just unbelievably good. Then I had a Baklava and if you love pistachio you must try it. It tastes amazing! The cheesecake was really good as well! Finally we try the traditional Turkish liqueur, the rakish, which we loved. The service was caring and real nice and we loved being there. Prices are perfect for what you eat, the place is cool and comfortable. Definitely recommended!

Today was the second time we were in this wonderful restaurant. 1. I was pleased when the head of the restaurant recognized me and welcomed like an old friend. 2. The service from the personnel was on the highest level. 3. The atmosphere was cozy and very friendly. 4. FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. The lamb meat was so soft that it was melting in my mouth. This is the place where I will take my most valuable guests to eat tasty and to enjoy summer evenings.

Today we had our dinner at Pepper Zout, unfortunately we had a bad experience. There was a bug inside of our rice. We showed it to the waitress, the reaction of the restaurant was it could be possible it came from outside, not from the kitchen. The answer did not satisfy us as we don’t care where it came from, it was inside my food. Then we asked the bill, they added extra water which we didn’t drink. Our experience was not good with this restaurant and doubt if I would go there again..I didn’t feel the excuse rather it was “we cannot do anything, pay and leave.”

We tried the breakfast at Peper Zout & really liked it. The amound is sufficient and what is offered is tasty.

Service is great, all the staf is polite and smiling - not comparible standard restaurants here in NL. We really enjoyed our night, I believe there is room for improvement foodwise but it is really hard to find a better place in Haarlem. We’ll be regulars from now on. Thank you!

Quite a decent restaurant in a calm neighborhood of Haarlem. With indoor and outdoor seating both available. The food is amazing with options both for vegetarians and non vegetarians. Would recommend for Mediterranean food lovers.

Nice restaurant in the new build Marsmanplein. Grab some finger food/tapas as an appetizer followed by meat or fish and desert. Bring your baby along as diapers can be swapped. Even the man can do this. Excellent.

Satisfying and affordable breakfast. Mixed breakfast is €16,50 per person and you can't even finish it. The staff was helpful. Highly recommended!

A local favourite they are open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and takeaway. Sometimes I go just for a glass of wine it's so 'gezellig'. Very busy in winter as there is no outdoor seating in winter (plenty in summer) so make sure you call ahead if you definitely want to go. One time they forgot my order and lied about it but I think that was someone who was new. I'll always go back as the food is so good.

On Valentine's Day, we sat down in the restaurant. We hadn't been since the renovation, so I was out of town.... The caramel coffee was delicious, maybe the best I've had so far. The marinated chicken with mushroom sauce and the other dishes were very, very delicious. Nice service, very clean environment, I can only recommend it, try it,,,,

We went there for breakfast as a group of 4 adults and 3 children. The ambiance was nice and cozy. The food was tasty and fairly priced. I would suggest here anyone that wants to experience a well prepared Turkish breakfast.

Very bad hospitality. Food was average per the cost. Taste of food lies in the way it is served. This restaurant lacks hospitality. Even the serving utensils had broken edges... worst place.

I highly recommend this place - we ordered 2 main dishes - both of them were very tasty, with salad, sauces and fries / rice. Also, the restaurant is in a quiet area at the pond and waiters were really friendly.

Turkish/Arabic food that tastes really good. The samosas, the salad, the meat platter all were prepared well and with good taste. The mezzah though can use improvement (hummos, muhammara, etc). The portions were small and the taste didn't complement the main dish

Update March 2022 Went for a 'borrel' with friends for first the first since the reopening. Great cocktails, beer and tapas but it's a pity they were difficult about serving tap water alongside. Not cool. ....... Tasty meal for the family delivered perfectly on time. Chunky crispy chips, tender chicken, sweet and juicy lamb cutlets. We will definitely be back to try the tapas too!

Tastes like authentic Turkish food, had a dinner here one day and a breakfast the other day. I can recommend both.
