The food was delicious and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant itself as a nice and cozy atmosphere. Very nice experience!

I liked the atmosphere very much: it's a typical pub full of corky decorative elements which makes it quite peculiar. The low lights help the atmosphere. Food wise, it was ok: the chicken sautee we had for lunch is a fairly safe bet. This one was cooked properly, and the peanut sauce was creamy and luscious. Pity for the lack of seasoning. There's a good selection of beers.

We had an hour and 15 minutes to eat because we had a movie. After 50% of the vegan options not being available today, they took an hour to bring the food despite the request to bring the food quickly. We ended up having 15 minutes to eat which was a shame because the food really wasn’t bad. They offered us a free plate in apology which was nice

Best pub in Zoetermeer. Cozy, Lively owners. Triple D'Anvers beer from the cask is sensational, don't miss it. Food is well worth it too.

Fun modern place, nice service, tasty food

The Old Pal really does welcome you like an old pal. It has a nice cozy pub feel to it, with ambient lighting and wooden details. We walked in with 4 of us without a reservation on a Sunday night and this was not a problem. The foods here surprised us in its quality. It is standard pub fare, but certainly done well. Service was friendly and pretty standard. No complaints. We had a nice time here and the atmosphere does sort of invite you to hang around and have a few beers. There's a good chance we'll be back.

Food and beer was great. The deer burger was lovely and I liked every single beer I tried from the selection they had on offer. The staff were friendly as well.

Went there for dinner with 3 on saturday night. The atmosphere is nice, a bit crowdy, but the staff was still responsive. The burger I ordered was tasted great, taste was good and I felt content after dinner. For desert we had coffee with pie. A nice addon this place offers is that you can order cake and pie with or without icecream, one intended to be ordered with coffee, the other as a desert. It is located in the "stadshart" of Zoetermeer, so parking is free, at least for the first 2 hours.

Best place to drink beer

No drink menu, at the end they charged almost 9 euros for a single shot of whiskey!

Had a lovely evening in this super cosy pub. We had reserved a table which I would recommend as it was very busy. The food was delicious and the staff friendly. Great service!
