The train station in Nieuw Vennep is different from the stations we are used to. Take the stairs or the elevator up to the two stopping tracks; for two directions of movement. On both sides of the ramp for entry/exit to and from the platform, two canopies with two benches and that's it. A little further, tracks for trains that do not stop at this station. The cards are in the form of cards that you top up at the machines with the amount and the desired relationship. The card is activated on the ramp when entering the platform and deactivated when leaving the platform. Simple procedure.

Small station without much cover for bad weather. Good parking area and bike racks

A small station but it has fairly frequent trains to Amsterdam, Den Haag, Leiden and the airport. It can be a good station to watch trains go past st speed and to watch planes making their approach to the airport.

In Nieuw Vennep I visited the station on the way to a jazz meeting in the resting Jager. It is a pleasant station with many places to park your bicycle and a spacious parking lot for people who want to continue by train or pick up or drop off someone.

You shouldn't be in a hurry to get from A to B here, because every light turns red when you get close, and only 2 cars are allowed through at a time. Of course, speeding must be combated..., but this is the other extreme... this is how you provoke serious aggression...

Usually free places to sit down and/or to hide from rain/sun.

Small village where you can take a walk to get everything in one look 😅

Its a pretty empty place but its accessible and i go there often to meet up with friends.
