It's probably one of the best things you could do if you are in Amsterdam and you decide to take the day to explore this place and take beautiful photographs. It's great any time of the year but probably best when outwith tourists season. If it is a windy day, you would want to make sure you have suitable clothing as the whole area is not sheltered and you would feel the wind quite strongly. Lots of great spots nearby to explore.

Nice and picturesque place to visit outside Amsterdam . It’s a 20 min drive from Amsterdam and roads through countryside . Parking they charge €10 , and entrance is free to see wind mills . If you want to climb windmills there is a fee of 4.5€ for adult and 2€ for kids . It’s a nice place with lots of information about Dutch heritage and cheese shops where you can taste as much as you want and buy them .

Amazing place! Really beautiful, with great sightseeing of the Dutch Windmills. A taste of Holland's old lifestyle. One of the best places that I've visited in Europe. There's a nice place to taste the local cheese, chocolate or beverages. Totally worth the time to visit! The dutch are polite and warm-hearted. Unforgettable experience!!!

My younger son and I were taken here in August 2014. The arrangement of the windmills and the colourful wooden shoes decorated on a wooden wall provided the clues. The experience was so relevant and compelling that I have to discover it!

This is a nice little spot inside Zanse Schans. It is a tower with a belvedere to appreciate the wonderful landscape os the windmills. They used to have a path in the field right next to the tower, where you could walk around, but it has been closed now for many months, unfortunately.

Very enjoyable day out. Very nice walk in the summer. Each wind mill has its own stories and secrets.

One of the most beautiful sight in the region. Great open air living museum. Great half day excursion.

Iconic windmills of Amsterdam . Spend the whole day there. These mills used to run the motor for leveling the canal water.
