Lovely location in the city of Jos. Great interaction between nature and animals. I visited this place in 2018. The pictures I took there still hold awesome memories.

This place needs proper development. Animals look malnourished, and lonely. It looks unkempt, poor drainage system. Water Animals drinks are dirty too, and the signpost supposed to give directions are worn out and dirty. Let's not forget the tall grasses and weeds that also needs to be trimmed. They need to work on this place!!

I am an animal lover so I was excited to go here. Walked in and 1st animals I saw were some monkeys. They all looked a bit in distress but the excitement was still steaming so I just ignored it. Next was the elephant. I noticed she looked pretty small for her age but she was interactive which was a change in behavior from the monkeys. Anyone could see that she was hungry. Went on to see porcupines, hyena, snakes, ostriches, hawk, eagle (which was the only one eating), crocodiles, horse, and some other birds as well as lions. All of these animals were weak, filthy, malnourished, and waiting to die. There were no caretakers anywhere in site and finally, the habitats or cages rather were filthy and needed serious maintenance. I couldn't even finish seeing the rest of the park because of the sorrow I felt from what I saw. Very said.

These days there almost nothing to see there again except for a few animals. The place is gradually dying but it’s still a good spot if you just want to take long walks and chat. It’s also a good spot for picnics and for outdoor events

Need huge, improvement The government needs to take this place seriously, because when they do that they'll boost tourism in the state, they have everything they need, all they have to do now is pay attention to that place and give it what it wants. .. but for the least activities you can do it there, walk around take pictures with the surviving animals there and just relax and chill in the mini forest they have there🙂

Jos wildlife park is one of the largest man made zoological gardens in Nigeria and is home to a variety of animals ranging from monkeys, elephants, lions. The variety of wildlife and closeness to nature is one of the many reasons why tourists come from far and wide to visit. Not forgetting the epic lovers zone in the park,💋 Everybody is welcome! Jos wildlife was okay, although I feel bad for the ice cream loving elephant, it is all alone. Other than that the general experience was lovely. Have fun, also note that during special occasions (public holiday, Christmas, new-year) the place is usually crowded. But then again the more the merrier I guess. Have fun and take food for the animals, they love it but watch the kind of food you give them (know what you should, and shouldn't give them)

I saw some wild animals like the Lion, python, baboon etc. Though the park needs renovation and more animals, it's still good place to spend time with family and have fun

I was in Jos for vacation, and I took a quick tour around the wildlife park. I must say, the staff are adorable 😍, they were willing to show me around and lecture me on all the animals and I really learnt a lot. It feels so different going to the zoo as an adult vs. as a child. The last time I visited one was about 20 years ago. Visiting as an adult opened my eyes to a lot, I didn't even know the beautiful peacocks were male while the dull ones were female till when I visited. If you can, you should visit the zoo, especially the wildlife park, there's a lot to learn about wildlife.

The park has a number of animals like elephant, ostrich, lions, crocodiles, horse, baboons, monkeys and the likes. The people selling tickets at the gate need to do better with their service. If you are not familiar, you would end up wondering around the park without a guide. When coming, always ensure to ask for a guide at the gate to help you find the animals and have an amazing experience.

We had a great time! I hadn't been in over 10 years because I had been out of the country, but it was great just like I remembered from before. We had a great time feeding the monkeys and elephant! We picked a bad day to go. It rained. We'll have to go back another time when it isn't supposed to rain so that we don't have to leave before seeing all of the animals. The little shops at the end were great too!

There's a lot of work that needs to be done in that facility. There's little or no maintenance there. The animals look like they'd die at any minute and they look lonely and hungry too. There's room to do better

It's a place to see some wild animals like lions, elephant, hyena, snakes, crocodiles, monkeys, baboons, chimpanzees, ostrich, etc. There's also an art shop where arts works are sold. But the government needs to do more to maintain and further develop the place. It was a memorable visit and experience for me.

Jos Wildlife Park is such an amazing place to visit. They have lions, elephant, crocs, nice birds, monkeys and the rest,. Don't even ask me about the weather because it is the icing on the cake of the entire plateau. I also visited the source of Swan water in kerang. Touched Lepidom river site: a river within mountain's. You can used the water from this river however you deem fit but cannot take a drop away from the bank. I believe it is a taboo sold to the people of Mangu.

Poor zoo and poor maintainable. I was here some 30yrs ago (1989/90), nothing has changed since then, rather things are worse. I do not recommend here for anyone unless standards improve.

As the name implies, Jos Wildlife park is home to a variety of wild animals while trying to keep them in an environment similar to their natural habitats. Animals in the park includes, Lions, Ostriches, Gazelle, a Phyton, Hyenas, Alligators, Porcupines, Parrots among others.

The place is not bad shaa, although there is serious need for extensive care to wild animals kept there. The situation of the wild animals living there is not good. There is a need for additional animals to make the place more attractive. My first experience but it won't be last.

Twas my daughter's first time at the zoo so she was super excited to see live animals. To be honest though, I felt sorry for the animal from the poor maintenance of the zoo. Most of the animals looked hungry, sick and frail. Only thing I'll say I personally enjoyed was the horse riding and the long walk. Hoping things get better soon 🙂

Wildlife Park is a popular site in Jos where the animals live but recently most of the animals are no more, they either died and were not replaced or they have gone instinct, or they are too old for show. I really like the tall green trees which give the park a wonderful view from the outside. I love this part of the park for it's picture value, a lot of creative stuff can be done with it. Sorry no photos now but I will be posting my original photos of this art of nature very soon.

The park is quite adventurous with different nature sightseeing and animals of different kinds, the chimpanzees and the elephant there will give you an enjoyable moment as chimpanzees respond to tourist request for them to dance in order to receive gifts from tourists, and the elephant endless display of excitement seeing people around. There are natural tree canopy that is used for events and great for people to relax. The security here is not great, though there is a military check point opposite the park but people are not well checked in, this requires that when visiting you want to watch out for clumsy and crowded areas for security reasons. There was no tour guard too to guide and tell tourists about life at the park. The recreational point where there are swings and sliders too need some more attention, but the art shop is really beautiful and fascinating with a good artist in-store. Overall I will give the park 4/10, yet it is still one of the place to visit if you are visiting Jos. Gate fee is N200 (adult), N100 (Children), and there is accommodation to go in with your car for your tour at (N50). Massa (baked rice flour) is definitely a local food you want to try out at the park. Yeah, I enjoyed my time here!

Jos wildlife park is an intriguing place, a park indeed. Wide variety of bird and monkeys. First time i saw an eagle upfront. This is a place where you bring children, and they will have fun. The animal placement is fluid. This is the only place I have visited that have a living elephant. Though the maintenance culture is poor, but it remains a great tourist attraction point for any and every body.

A once bubbly place that was usually busy with a lot of tourists trooping in and out, and home to a wide range of species, the jos wild life park has sort of lost its spark, they still do have interesting animals on display, but the maintenance of the place has been poor and a lot of work has to be done to get it up and running and return it to its former glory.

The Jos Wild Life Park is an interesting place to visit while you're in the tin and cold city of Jos. Although I'll admit that the place needs some upgrade, you'll certainly have a nice time being around. There are lions that you can look at very close range, there's a big elephant that walks freely within her park, there are tortoises, two big pythons, white eagles, lots of monkeys some of whom are allowed to freely roam the environment. It's a nice place for family and friends outing. A very good relaxation spot with very tall pine trees are available. Definitely, the Wild Life Park is a favourite place of mine. I believe it has bigger potential if given the needed attention. When next you're in Jos, this should be among the places you'd want to visit.

Jos wildlife park is currently in a state of disrepair and needs urgent intervention, funding and maintenance. Both for the facility and wild life. It is well intentioned, well located and well planned, but it has suffered neglect over the years and consequently suffers lack of patronage. These can also be attributed to the security challenges of northern Nigeria as a whole. Nevertheless, it is worth a brief walkthrough (likely unguided) as you can still enjoy good views and sitings.

This park sits on a massive piece of land and has a greater number of animals than the National Park and Zoo in Abuja. It is also home to a beautiful pine forest which is my favorite part of the park. It’s definitely a must visit for anyone coming into town as a visitor or tourists. It’s one of the high-traffic “chilling spots” in Jos. I’d give it five stars but: 1. like with a lot of government ventures in Nigeria, the park is poorly managed. Some of the animals (the lions are a notable mention) look soooo poorly fed that they barely look like one would expect them to. Sometimes you’d have to guess the name of the animal you’re looking at because the signs have fallen off. 2. Some parts of the perimeter fence have been broken so a lot of people can gain access without going through the gate and paying. This makes the park too populated especially on peak days (like Sunday), and this crowd gets hard to control sometimes. Final note: Make sure you see the pine forest! Jos is one of the few places in Nigeria where pines can thrive. It’s a wonderful place to just sit with your significant other and appreciate nature.

It's an awesome base for eco-tourism, recreation and afforestation. The Jos Wildlife Park has the potentials of becoming World class. We need to harness the park for the economic emancipation tourism in Plateau state.

I rate it 5 because that's what it deserves. The state in which it is right now isn't its fault but negligence of those responsible for the structure. In an ideal situation it would have been a 5 star place to visit, unfortunately its quite dilapidated, uncared for and the animals are mostly dying away. But we have a lion, elephant, monkeys, few birds and some baby crocodiles surviving the hardship.. The lil forest there serves well, it is a hub for events on weekends.

You can get in for free and do things that you want to do. There is a bar though. There used to be an elephant here. If you see it say hi, please.
