Location: 5/5- Situated inside Hooge Catharijne mall and right next to Utrecht Central station, you cannot ask for a better location. All the major tourist attractions are also nearby. The mall itself has lot of shops and a variety of dining option. If you are coming from Schipol airport, then you can come here by train. This is right next to starbucks cafe Rooms: 4/5. The rooms are not too cramped but not huge as well. Equipped with a coffee maker, electric kettle, iron box, ironing board, mini fridge, hair dryer and a big tv which has google cast; you can easily stay here for long. Internet is fast and reliable. Rooms are cleaned daily. Bathroom is spacious. What I missed was a dedicated cupboard to put my big suitcase or space enough to hang clothes Reception and other amenities: 5/5 . The reception staff is courteous and prompt and always helpful. Though it may not be the same staff every day, I found it really nice that they all behaved in a consistent manner. The reception is on 3rd floor and not on ground floor. Reception, gym, dining area and café all are on 3rd floor. The café is a nice touch and you can sit there and do your office work peacefully. The gym is not huge but reasonable. I found it useful as I could not go out for a run due to cold weather outside and ended up using the treadmill. There are 3 treadmills. Buffet breakfast: 5/5. The breakfast buffet has an excellent selection and they also rotate the items. There are also certain items like pancakes and omelettes, than you can order for yourself from the kitchen.

We were visiting Utrecht for a ISDP Conference. We stayed a week at the largest suite with our 2 young daughters. It was very convenient with 2 cribs in the room. The rooms were beautifully styled, and the bathroom with the extra large tub was a true bonus. The lobby, bar and the breakfast area were very inviting and relaxing, overlooking a channel that runs beneath the hotel and mall below. And last, but definitely not least, the staff! The cleaning staff, the breakfast staff and the front desk staff were absolutely AMAZING! Each and everyone of them were accommodating, welcoming, friendly and helpful. When we left, we left a huge beautiful bouquet of flowers with the front desk staff. We truly already miss you all 😀

Great 4* business hotel! Incredibly close to the central station, I found the staff (particularly during breakfast), to be very helpful / friendly and I slept very well. Modern, comfortable rooms.. Loved the number of communal desk areas where you could work. The small gym was also of a good standard! The only minor downside was the slightly strange entrance, from within a shopping mall. (Of course, the location was also a positive due to the huge number of eateries that were very close). Would I stay again? Yes, I am back next week for an event in Utrecht! Would I stay for a non business trip - very likely, due to value for money. However, if you are looking for somewhere a bit more quaint and with a nicer view, then perhaps look elsewhere..

being a diamond elite member, I was expecting a, somehow, warm welcome on my first stay. It wasn't the case, and I even faced some flaws: not even a bottle of water in the mini bar, and no room cleaning on the first day (I had to ask for it for other days). It's only on the last day of my stay that these flaws were recognized and compensated. As i had to stay in Utrecht for a second time, and still being loyal to IHG, I decided to give to the Crowne a second try, and it turned out to be a good idea: no flaw in the room (which are great, both in size and equipment, including the rituals products in the bathroom, and yes, the bottles of water were there ;). summarizing my two experiences, the fails during my first stay being, finally, minor, specially considering the COVID period, the quality of the rooms and the breakfast, as well as the convenient location right in the center of Utrecht, I will surely stay there again.

Very well appointed hotel with a delightful breakfast buffet. Staff are professional, efficient, and very friendly. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Shower is hot and provides good water pressures. Coffee making facilities in room with associated fridge, ironing board, and large screen TV. There are extensive conference facilities and private office pocket areas. Our stay was very much enjoyed.

This hotel is the lovely experience that you can have if you enjoy a nice view over the city and want to enter the hotel right in the middle of the city hall called "Hoog Caterijn". Let's make a summary of it's good points: 1. It's located on a walking distance from station, city, busses, shopping areas, movie theaters and more. So its easily accessible. 2.The rooms are neatly clean and you are provided with bathrobe, shower towel, rituals shampoo products, a television, desk , clothing storage, hair dryer , mini fridge and a nice view over the city. 3. There is an option for you to go the gym in the morning or evening. 4. There is a mini bar to socialize and get some drinks 5. If you added the breakfast options you have a wide range of variety from yogurt with fruit to donuts, salmon, eggs, croissant and more. If you love coffee, they got that there too and otherwise there is a Starbucks next door. So far I haven't found any bad points about the location (yet). I have stayed in a standard room with two separate beds.

Very clean rooms, attentive staff, not the best food. I was here for 2 nights for a conference at the hotel, and all in all, it was a good experience. The entrance through a shopping mall threw us for a loop, but once we found it, it worked ok. Signing in and getting to my room was painless and smooth, staff English was perfect and friendly. Like stated, the room was very clean and nice, the bathroom had a good shower stall with a door that didn’t leak (I don't know why this should be a happy surprise, but it is!) The water was hot, with lots of it. The view from the windows was almost depressingly boring, but it did let in lots of natural light. Unfortunately none of the windows opened, not even at a crack, so there's no way to air out, this is a shame. My colleague did have a window that could open in her room, so perhaps it's possible to ask for it when ordering. We had dinner the first night, breakfast for 2 days and lunch once, some of it was fine, but unfortunately a lot of it was somewhat boring/cold/bland. A couple of things, like the cod, was actually BAD. Breakfast had a fine selection, but i'm glad i’m not vegan or vegetarian, there didn’t seem to be a lot of options at all. Of course, other options may be available per request, but the buffet was lacking in something not from an animal. The view from the breakfast room was fun, with a panorama view of Utrecht. The staff at the bar was friendly, but painfully slow, they did their best, but it took me 40 minutes to get a gin and tonic in a almost empty bar, and this seems very ineffective, perhaps just a little training would help.

Stayed here after a conference in Amsterdam (prices of reasonable hotelrooms in Amsterdam are incredibly high). Great location, walking distance from the central station and practically in the shopping mall Hoog Catharijne. Excellent reception, i received a welcome drink. Room was OK, one remark though: the sun woke me up at 5.30am... i think the blinds should be fixed or they should put a thick curtain. Tasty breakfast, good choices of warm and cold dishes. A bit of a disappointment: i left my phone charger in the room, after calling them the next morning nothing was reported found... Anyway lessons learned for me.

Pros- Fantastic location situated in a shopping mall and across the road from Utrecht Central train station. Excellent transport links, great selection of restaurants both in the shopping mall and local vicinity. Hotel was spotless and quiet, with a very good breakfast. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area. Premium king room was very spacious, with a great bathroom. The toiletries were good quality. Cons - there was a weird smell in the area by the elevator on 7th floor.

We enjoyed our stay in a junior suite. The loft design maximized space and allowed for separation between the sleeping and lounging areas. The hotel is an easy walking distance from multiple good eating establishments, as well as, the historic district.

Nice hotel, greatly located in the big mall near the train station. Small but cozy rooms and beatific reception with cool design. They have gym but I didn’t try it. However, no slippers and toilet brush in the rooms which was a bit odd.
