We ducked in here for dinner on a rainy evening. It was a little warm but not uncomfortable. The food was good and plenty of choices including for vegetarians. The thing that sets this apart though is the astounding service. I wish I had the name of our server to call it our specifically. He was just attentive enough and kept all the tables happy. We thought about a second meal there just because of him. If you were the young man who waited on us around 8:00 on June 27 - BRAVO!

Visited Utrecht for the first time and my friends recommended Oudaen to grab some food and beers. We sat outside and its a nice view of the canal. I ordered a Salmon Sandwich and so did my friend. This was really good but quite pricey, it did not have fries or anything like that. Solid sandwich but not worth the money. We proceeded to spend the next 3 hours drinking beer, nice place to drink at and good service.

Only been to the bar part of the place but I'm super impressed by the whole experience. They have good collection of their own beers and the bartender have good knowledge of them and had a good discussion on the taste profiles. The service is very prompt and the hosts are very friendly. The interior is very beautiful and they have huge space along with a big terrace for nice group hangouts.

Nice place for a beer in Ultrecht. Good treatment, good variety of items in the menu and a really nice place. They a brewery area as well, but not sure if you can visit it.

For a quick refreshing drink on the terrace outside at the gracht. Then you must come here. It makes there own beer and wow I asked for a Raddler and they mix themselves. It's the best I ever drunk. And my wife took a no jito and that was very good also. 👌 so just come and try yourself

Really interesting decor with a few quirks and good atmosphere. Staff very helpful. Food was delicious and they were good at catering for allergies. We enjoyed our steak and stew. The desserts were fabulous.

My three stars go to the beer but nothing to the service! I was sitting in a table with my family and expecting more two family members and they refused to service them with the argument that they couldn’t give as a good service🤣 crazy thing! More two beers would make a difference! They did not give a really good service.

A bar/restaurant with its own brewery! The pilsner was superb - light and refreshing but also malty and a little fruity with a pleasantly-bitter aftertaste. A good and complex brew. The lunch was also great with far more variety than many of the other Utrecht cafes nearby. The poke bowl and chicken wrap were both delicious.

The staff was very kind and attentive, a waiter brought us food with such a big, warm, enthusiastic smile. The salmon poke bowl was nice, a good size and filling. However, it was smoked salmon when I would expect it to be sushi-grade raw salmon. Beautiful interior, comfortable chairs and not too crammed with tables. Although it can get a bit loud, which wasn't a problem for us but something to take into consideration with hearing loss.

During summer and sunny days, it is such a nice brewery that you can have your beers sitting next to the canal. Because it's location, it does not feel that touristic, feels more cozy instead. In the winter, you better get around midday to find a seat inside. Most of the dishes on the menu are priced quite above average. Best thing to have would be beer tasting set.

I was on the lookout for a brewery and came across this place which has good seating options overlooking the canal. The interiors were quite nice well, especially the bar counter with the big beer processing units added a good appeal. The staff were very friendly and offered good beer suggestions. The "Triple" was dynamite in taste and quite strong, so it's recommended to start with 300 ml. :) Can't comment much on the food as I only had the bread starters which was well served with sour cream sauce and a tomato mix. Highly recommend this place for it's craft beers.

I was at Stadskasteel Oudaen for a celebration and family reunion lunch. We were with 10 adults and 3 children, and we all had a main dish 2 or 3 drinks. The venue is absolutely lively and lovely. The service was friendly and swift. The food was good, and a selection of lunch plates that combines typical Dutch things, such as uitsmijter, broodje kroket, or kip sateh, with more standard international elements such as burgers. It also offers a fine soup of the day option for the smaller appetite. Because we were with a larger group, I reserved well in advance as we were coming on a Saturday. The booking process was simple, and changing the number of guests on the reservation a week in advance was unproblematic. Oudaen is a 10-minute walk from Utrecht's central station, which is probably the most easily reached railway hub in the Netherlands. Ideal location if your party consists, like ours, of people coming from all over the country. We had an excellent time, and it never felt rushed, and we left happy and satisfied after about 3 hours.

Only went for beers from their own brewery and some light snacks. The explanation for the beers was top. They have a flight available to taste their in house made beers. Their beer and their snacks are reasonably priced. Atmosphere outside is great on a sunny day, and inside is spacious.

This place was pretty cool! A castle turned into a multi-purpose venue with a brewery. Super friendly staff and lovely beer. I tried the Witbier, but would love to go back and try their others.

We were looking for a coffee place and then saw this brewery and simply couldn’t walk by.The staff is very friendly, service fast, beer very tasty, music, ambiance, people, everything was great. As we sat and people watched we noticed that another popular item was ginger tea (a piece of ginger, mint, and hot water.) So whether you want to have a good time, some beer, tea/coffee, or a bite this is a place for you! Loved it! When in Utrecht I will be back for sure!
