We visited Bagels & Beans on a Thursday morning, and were delighted to find the place practically empty, which made for a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who were quick to assist us with our orders. The breakfast bagels were impressive, with a wide variety of healthy options that didn't disappoint. Everything we ordered felt fresh and was prepared with care. We particularly enjoyed the "wild Alaskan salmon and avocado" bagel, which was generously topped with fresh ingredients and had just the right amount of creaminess from the avocado. The restaurant's location on Mariaplaats, one of the most beautiful squares in Utrecht, is an added bonus. The square hosts the stunning Conservatorium building, making it a lovely spot to enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee. Overall, Bagels & Beans is an excellent choice for anyone looking for healthy, fresh food and a cozy atmosphere. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the coffee and tea are top-notch, and the bagel options are endless. We highly recommend this charming restaurant for a quick bite or a leisurely meal in the heart of Utrecht.

We ordered one "wild Alaskan salmon and avocado" bagel and a "thai chicken chili" with a smoothie called "jungle juice". We found them really good, especially the one that came with the sweet chilli cream. Mariaplaats is the cutest square of the Utrecht city centre so it was nice having lunch here, it also hosts the Conservatorium, a beautiful building.

Wide variety of bagel options right from the bread to the filling. The coffee and tea were equally good. The staff was also nice and friendly. 100% recommend for food, location and staff!!

Atmosphere and food are nice but it's suffering from the same thing as most Bagels & Beans branches. Coffee beans are probably overroasted and burnt so especially the black coffees have a very bitter taste. It's not a good experience to drink.

Always good coffee. Paddoburger at this particular branch was not as well cooked as it is usually at other branches. Good atmosphere and cosy.

In general, Bagels&Beans has impressed me cause their menu card includes a pregnant icon next to vegan, gluten-free, etc. and makes it super clear whether something is for pregnant women or not, since there are a lot of no-no's. Specifically, this B&B place is really nice, the atmosphere is great, the stuff very friendly and helpful, trying to make my baby also comfortable by bringing to her toys, and the service really good. It is also located in an area that I really like, Mariaplaats. The one inside Hoog Catharijne is also really cozy and worth-visiting!!

I come here often for a coffee. Very friendly staff. Excellent quality coffee. They have good sandwiches and bagels. Nice breakfast or lunch place for a small break.

B&B and gluten-free bagels so I went there. The staff cautiously asked me if I am allergic to gluten because they don't have a GF kitchen. I said I'm not allergic but I am sensitive so as long as it is not in the ingredients and they work on a clean surface, it will be OK. I enjoyed the bagel but an hour later I did start feeling symptoms mildly, but not too bad. So, I think there is a bit too much for me to go there again but they did warn me. The staff were friendly and it was a nice cozy place to sit and rest.

Lovely lunch options there. Some of the indoor sitting are too narrow & too close to each other, not easy to move around, and you could hear the Neighbour table when if they are whispering. Otherwise lovely place for lunch.

We didn't any food here, but the coffee and other drinks are quite okay. This place offers limited seats, first come first serve basis.

Large outdoor seating area, with perspex dividers between the footpath and tables. Good table service and our food & drinks came out pretty quickly. Big range of options on the menu, including some vegan options.

Best bagels in town! Great variety to choose from, friendly staff and lovely view. The earlier in the morning you go, the better the experience of this cute little coffee corner. Also, best ice coffee I've tried in the Netherlands!

Perfect place for lunch, tasty bagels with plenty of choice for each component whilst also serving other delicious dishes.

Yummy bagels for breakfast! I'm not a big fan of bagles but I enjoyed both the food and drinks as well as the atmosphere. Bicycle parking is right opposite the place.

This was a dissapointment. The place was packed with people ans we went for a chicken salade and a bagel. The teas were okish, although bug chunks of ginger doesnt give a lot of taste. The chicken salade has huge pieces of chicken which were difficult to cut and way to much pesto over it. The salmon bagel wasnt good, the salmon had no tatse. Sadly a last for us.

With Bagels & Beans you know what you get: decent bagels at good prices and expensive juices. The Americano coffee is quite big in size though which is a plus. And the location of this particular B&B is one of the best in Utrecht. Recommended overall.

This was such a unique experience with a wide variety of bagel options right from the bread to the filling. The coffee and tea were equally delightful but the service was very slow and sometimes the staff forgot our order which led to a delay. But 100% recommend this for the food!

Lovely place to sit down and watch the hustle and bustle of the city. The mega vega bagel was so delicious! There was a small mistake in the order but the staff were so accommodating and brought us some complimentary drink samples as we were waiting. Lovely atmosphere.

Quite average quality of food. For sure not the best bagel that I had, but the choice is pretty wide. If I remember well they didn’t have the salmon and avocado, which I found a bit awkward. Overall nice experience.

The bagels are good, unfortunately they don’t have a large vegan choice.

Like all B&B restaurants, this is a good option for vegans, vegetarians but they have a well rounded menu. The desserts and juices are very nice as well. And the location in Utrecht is central and relaxing, close to the Conservatory.
