We had visited this garden over ten years ago and we visited it today. It was great back then, but now itโ€™s really amazing! So many species, and so beautifully arranged. We also liked the butterflies a lot. A must go to get inspired, to gather knowledge or just to enjoy!!

Beautifull and calm area to take a walk in, a great place to relax, get a coffee and also learn about biology and the life on this planet. Great preservation and show room of butterflies and other insecrs, outside you feel right in the nature with the plentifull garden of flowers.

One of the most beautiful and enjoyable botanical gardens I've been to. Such an amazing diversity of flora and fauna, loved every bit of it. It really felt like it was made to be enjoyed and savoured by people, with benches in strategic places with a beautiful view, for whenever one wants to take a break and take in the beauty of their surroundings. The butterflies were incredible, just be careful around them to not disturb or touch them. Also there were some "crazy" cute birds, very sassy, just a mention about the door to their section, you must always close it after you.

It is indeed one of the best gardens! It includes different parts, the first part when we enter is the main Botanic garden, then we can walk to the rest which are even more interesting! I got a discount with my french student card which was nice, there is no free parking, but a paid parking in front of the garden which is not that expensive, but drinks are a bit expensive and I was not expecting that! BTW, I am giving five out of five because it mesmerized me, I definitely recommend you to visit this place while you are in Utrecht. There were not many people in the case and we bought our tickets without any difficulties. Thanks Botanic garden Team

Really beautiful gardens with tropical green houses and a butterfly house! Absolutely worth the โ‚ฌ8,50 entry fee. Thereโ€™s a little cafe where you can get lunch and a food truck for coffee and such.

An amazing experience! We went spontaneously with two kids (6,11) and my mother in law and surprisingly spent there more then 3 and a half hours. Gorgeous park with a small treasure hunt activity for the kids. Highly recommended! We'll absolutely come back to check it out in other seasons and entry is free with museums card! Update: went to check it out in the spring and didn't disappoint also as a nice surprise there was a new treasure hunt for the kids ๐Ÿ‘

We spent half a day in this lovely park, it was an enjoyable day. There are lots of spots to see including waterfalls and hills to go up and look at the beatiful views. The most amazing spot is the butterfly garden where many kinds of colorful butterflies fly among flowers. Parking lot is big enough and not expensive. Museum kart is valid at this park.

One of the best places in Utrecht for a relaxing walk. Everything is well organized, plants have clear signs. Multiple bioms present and many hidden spots for relaxation. One of the best botanical gardens I have ever seen.

Nice layout of the garden, interesting theme subjects. Did either pay to little attention to the fine print, but was missing some information about invasive plants

Great place to have a walk, a picnic or an educational visit. We accidentally went when the yearly plant market was there, but it was still very fun! There are picnic tables and little benches all over the place.

Cute little garden with butterflies, bird watching station and a beautiful rockery. The cafe has a great selection of teas and a delicious gluten free cake. The place is worth visiting if you love nature and want to relax in quiet surroundings.

8.50 for adult, 3.00 students in the Netherlands, 0.00 for utrecht student and museum card (you have to insist a lot, they insisted to make me pay 3.00 as a student whereas it is free with the museum card becareful of the old lady -> whatever the answer she did I did not pay so yes it is free with the pass museum). Not do to in november ofc nothing to see (no plants). Only to do in spring. Btw a summer/spring rate and a winter/autumn rate would be preferable ... cheaper for autumn/winter because there is only the greenhouse to see.

This park is huge and unique with rocky mountains! Not my first visit, but still impressed by it's endless beauty. Especially during June. Definitely the most magical botanical garden within the 'Randstad' area. Hortus Amsterdam and Leiden have their own charm, but they are not comparable in size.

Enjoyed it so much!! We will go again when the temperature rises again because, sadly, it wasn't much bloom for now. But it's definitely a nice place to spend the evening

Beautiful enclave stone away from Utrecht centrum to enjoy a tiny oasis of nature, different kinds of plants and a greenhouse of butterflies, very nice to warm up on cold days.

We went with the family to the botanical gardens today. We started with a nice stroll through the entire park. I love that all the plants have nameplates, so you can really learn something. There is a lot of information in the park and if you're into it you could really spend all day here. I guess we didn't go at the best time, after a few record breaking hot days because some parts of the park didn't look so good and healthy. We had to skip entire areas because there wasn't really anything to see. Especially nice was the butterfly garden, although quite small (will fit about 8 people max) very special. At the end we had lunch here, we were served by very friendly staff but it was hard to enjoy because of the wasps and birds lurking around. Food was good enough but nothing special.

A magical experience, I'll definitely visit again as I wasn't able to visit every place (bee hotel and evolution garden are on my agenda). It's beautiful and relaxing, with a lot of benches where you can rest between diverse plants and enjoy the scenery. The topical glass houses are amazing inside - it's like walking into the jungle! The butterfly zone was also really cool, with huge butterflies flying around, unbothered by human presence.

I love gardens so take this with a grain of salt. However this place was so gorgeous, especially the rock garden. It was built on top of the remains of a fort building. The different sections have so many varieties and it's so relaxing to walk around. It's only โ‚ฌ8.50 to get in, and if you're with a child you can buy an activity book for โ‚ฌ2.50. I went in the fall so it wasn't as full as it usually is, but I can imagine how wonderful it is in the summer. Still worth visiting in the fall if that's when you are there.

Had a really nice afternoon in the gardens. Kids enjoyed the climb to the top of the 'mountain'. Had a nice coffee to go.

The gardens were beautiful and the plants interesting. If you are in the vicinity I definitely recommend you visit. My experience at the accompanying cafรฉ however was not as great. After being seated in quite the awkward fashion we waited for over 20 minutes until we were helped (which only happened because another customer noticed). At this point in spite of seeing many "tosti's" being delivered we couldn't order them anynore because the kitchen had just closed, which presumably happened after we arrived. There was also a small problem with the pay, where we our bill came out too high, but this turned out to be a technical error and the staff was very forthcoming about it. Other than that the coffee and food were great and even though I wouldn't dissuade you from going, I do recommend you pay a little extra attention yourseld.
