I would never really write a review for a club, but I guess here goes. I loved the atmosphere, good sound systems and line-up was great. Would probably not go again though, because of the awful crowd... unbehaved, 18-year-old boys were constantly filming (themselves and others) inside with flash, invading privacy and ruining the underground feel I associate with techno. Idc if people take a quick video without flash, but this was just on another level. I pitied the dj's, having to play for such an audience. Would appreciate if the staff was more intolerant of this behavior and make techno safe & free! <3

We had tickets (4 people) but they didn’t let us get in. They claimed that we were 7 people -due to the fact that we were discussing with some friends we found in the queue- and that was against the house rules. We asked for a refund or let us get in and they were refusing both for long time. We had to struggle and finally managed them to agree on giving us a refund for our tickets. But of course we didn’t hear our favourite dj - a friend had came from Rotterdam only for that. Not professional behaviour at all.

Would be wise to let the public know that staff are people that are being rehabilitated into society so we can be more empathetic towards the aggressive and ill-mannered people - let me specify here the sad girl at the cashier with the cute little white hair band. Music inside was amazing, had a great time with my friends but security made multiple people feel unsafe and scared. Me and all the company I was with did not leave happy due to security overstepping boundaries countless times throughout the night. I hope management seriously reconsiders who they employ.

It was April 30th. The lineup was great and the club is nice undergroundish with great lights. However, the volume of the speakers was kinda low for a techno club. Plus, the mids were non-existent when acid was being played. So it sounded a bit off. Good for talking and having drinks with friends. Of course, if you don't mind waiting outside for an hour because there's only 1 person at the desk to check the tickets, sell the lockers and goodies. Good potential tho

I've been clubbing around Amsterdam and Utrecht for over 3 years and Basis is the best when it comes to a proper techno night. It's mostly young students (locals and expats) that are regular at this place. It's NOT that big a commercial place but it's a place to rave all night with an amazing sound & light system(they'll cover your phone's flash at entry) and good vibes, friendly staff and its economical. Do take a hand fan as it gets quite hot inside as the night peaks. Tickets are generally €15-20 and drinks are €5-8.
