Experienced a total rip-off! Tourists, be cautious—potential scam❗️❗️😣😣😣 I inquired about tap water before ordering, and the waiter assured me it was free. However, I was later charged an extra 5 CHF. When I questioned it, he claimed it was for tax. Another waiter contradicted him, stating there's no sales tax in Switzerland. To add confusion, he then said the first tap water is free, but the second one is not ⚠️❗️

Very special old place in the heart of Zürich at the Zürich HB. We took a soup and some drinks. The place itself is spectacular.

Food is really good. Service is so so . Long wait to be serve . Atmosphere is also so cozy and oldies . All drink in big glasses.

Great location, amazing food, great portion sizes a must try once you are here in Zurich. The server was amazing, enjoyed a lager beer with friends. Great place to hang out

Located in the zurich train stat6. Very busy even late in the evening. We did like the beef tartar. It was too spicy and the way the beef was mince. It was a bit too fine. The veal cutlets with mushroom sauce was all right.

It is located inside the Zurich train station. The inside of the restaurant is also good, but it's good to have a glass of beer or two glasses outside while waiting for the train. It would have been nice to have a little more selection of draft beer, but it's not a small selection. However, like a Zurich restaurant, it is expensive.

Food was very good, portions were just right and the recommended tap beers complemented the food. Restaurant is located in Zurich Hb - very convenient!

I had a great time at the Brasserie Federal 🤗 The atmosphere really takes you somewhere back in time. Even when crowded, it still feels warm and welcoming ✨ I highly recommend you to stop and give their menu a try; you won't be disappointed (I promise 👌)! Anyway I'll finish this review by thanking the staff, super service 🙏💯

The rosti is a must have if you like it with raclette. It is basic but definitely it would lovely for the cheese and potato lovers. Ambience was definitely lovely with the woody furnishing and open concept kitchen. You get to see the chef preparing the dishes and serving it piping hot. They do have a wide range of beers. Do get the staffs to give you recommendation based on the season…..

👍🏼 I like the interior design and set up 👍🏼 Helpful staff 👍🏼 Big portion and delicious food, at least mine (Swiss Potato Rosti). French fries on the burger was nice too 👍🏼 Good option for beer or dining in the station area 👎 The burger was a bit too dry and simple, we expected more for that price 😊

Arrived in Zurich on a Friday evening after traveling all day, having read about this Brasserie we decided to give it a try. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Traditional food served and a great selection of beer. I chose the chilli sausage and rosti which was fine with an excellent beer to wash it down.

Great place if you look for solid swiss food , the liver is great, huge assortment of beers , good service. The place is running long hours , the kitchen is busy so your food is not a portion made two hours ago. The Federal is big ...you sure find a place. Please tip 10 percent in cash aside the bill.

I've been coming to the Brasserie Federal regularly for quite some time now. I very much like the renovated decor and the improved work-space (for the employees) behind the bar. I invited some friends for the Sunday Brunch today. It was fantastic! The variety of the offering and the quality of the foods are really something. Somewhat surprised that so few people seem to have heard about the brunch. But everything was great, the service friendly and efficient, as always. I recommend!!

Very busy on a friday night. Zurich Sausage with Rosti was amazing!

Pit stop for a quick coffee and croissant but WOW was I blown away by the space. It was absolutely gorgeous and so much so I cannot remember the coffee or the croissant. Definitely will be back for the rosti but if you want a shot of beauty with a coffee before you hop on a train, this is your spot.

Convenient location for a quick bite. Schnitzel was quite tasty, though a little salty.

Unfortunately, we were not well received, basically ignored. We did stay and had coffee with the intention to have lunch. But the service did not improve. The people working there seem to be very hard working and it's sad such dedication gets spoilt by a smelly person at front of house.

Have had diner three times and the service has always been excellent. Food is of the standard Swiss kind. I would have liked some vegetables. Acoustics are not fantastic.

Located inside the Zurich HB Railway Station, the restaurant has a vast sitting area both inside and outside and the food options for vegetarians were good. A bit expensive but worth a try.

If you like traditional settings, high ceilings, yet down-to-earth Swiss ambience, decent local food and reasonable prices, that's the place to hang out or meet people while transitting through ZH mainstation.

It was not the experience expected. I wanted to have an early lunch. So far so good. I was totally ignored by the staff who was not in the best of moods. Order a beverage, which is served late and waited for the food order to make, at least another 10-15 minutes. Nobody take any attention and it was not busy. At the end I want to pay for the beverage which took another 10 minutes. Overall an absolute nightmarish experience.

Hugely undiscovered gem right in Zurich HB! Loved the beer selection and had myself one of the best lagers in my trip here

Great Spot for Authentic Swiss Cuisine. Highly recommended the Zurich Sausage and the Alpine Macaroni and Cheese.

Really nice railway station restaurant. Good selection of beers and food. I had the alp variant of mac and cheese with apple sauce, really nice.
