Really great steak. Mediocre service. Waiter with short facial hair asked for a tip, I proceeded to add 4 francs out of courtesy, he cancelled my credit card payment and said typically people tip 10%, I put 0 francs and he basically threw a fit at the table dropping my credit card and slamming the receipt on the table (not even over exaggerating...) made me feel a bit uncomfortable, but all I had to do was walk out the restaurant. Won't be coming back again.

We tried a few steak houses, which all were booked out. Ended up here, as this was the only one with a spare table, and the steak was excellent for the price. We had ribeye. Steaks are served on a hot stone, so you can cook them to your liking.

Waiter demanding tip let them down. Good food, good ambiance, reasonable prices on lunch special BUT will never return after waiter demands a tip. He mentioned it four or five times and made the our use of our credit card difficult until a tip was added. He only cleared out plates. A more senior waiter, more smartly dressed, perhaps the owner, was much more pleasant taking our order, delivering the food and second glass of wine. I tip for excellent service not for just doing the job. Sadly our end to this meal means we will not return and therefore can’t recommend it.

food was good.. service was bad . the stuffs behavior was not good they were not cordial n bit racist as he was quite friendly with other tables. waiter withsmall beards hoping for tips but we just give a small changes .. while leaving he came out n said services are not into the bill . 😑 stuffs are need to be trained.

We went to the restaurant for dinner and it was a good steak. It was however no 400 gram in a thousand years (I only eat meat and weigh my Ribeyes every day). Service was rushed even though the terrace was almost empty. When we wanted to pay the man asked for a tip because "he needed cocaine". Weird way of asking for a tip. Also he was rude and when leaving he just said: "had a nice life". Good food, really bad experience.

Beware… They ask for 10% tip on the check. They said it’s customary, which is not true in Switzerland considering the extremely high price. Several tour guides stated that tip It is appreciated but not customary. Food was ok. Service not good waiter barely came to the table. We wanted some water and it took about 20 minutes to get. Go to the fondue place in the corner. It’s better!

Had dinner here, a quick steak late at night. The meat is average at best, and well overpriced. It’s a classic tourist trap. The waiter was incredibly offended and rude when I didn’t tip. Tried to sort of bulling me into reconsidering? Anyway, I recommend he changes attitude, job, or at least employer.

The place is nice and the meat was delicious, unfortunately the waiter we had ruined the diner. He was really arrogant, impolite and we wasn’t feeling welcome at all at these place. Even when we paid, he didn't even say thank you or bid us farewell, the food can be tasty but with deplorable treatment from the waiter it's not worth going, I don't recommend this place at all.

I ordered a sirloin steak well done with a baked potato no sour cream but with butter. The meal came with the steak being seared on both sides but raw in the middle and I said this is not cooked to my liking he said you have to cook it yourself on the stone I said I'm paying you $50 for a steak and I have to cook it? The waiter ended up cooking it the rest of the way on the stone which took about half an hour. The baked potato did not come with any butter like I asked and no skin I like to eat the skin on my baked potato but there was none it looked like a piece of lasagna. In addition the steak was tough I did not believe it was a sirloin because it had gristle in it. I did have dessert apple pie ice cream and it was delicious. No I won't be back.

Nice little hotel in the heart of the Old Town in Zürich where there are lots of restaurants and shops, and it is also only a short walk from Zürich central station and tram stops. It sits above a restaurant of the same name. Recommended for couples only as the rooms are very small. The Highlights: - the rooms are very clean upon check in, and despite being small, has the basic necessities: bed, air conditioning, mini fridge, kettle, Closet, TV, hot water, towels, etc. It's also non-smoking which is really appreciated, considering how much people seem to smoke here in Zürich. - Another highlight is that it has a lift (elevator) that fits 4 people with no luggage, or 2 people with 2 suitcases - The continental breakfast included in the room has two kinds of bread, two kinds of cold cuts, some fruit, jams, three kinds of cheeses, juices, coffee and tea - enough to fuel up for the morning until lunch time. -Although the hotel is in the heart of the Old Town with bars and restaurants right below it, the sound proofing of the windows is pretty good as we couldn't hear the outside world once we've shut them properly. What can be improved: - Customer service leaves much to be desired. The people serving in the morning don't seem to want to host people at all as he didn't want to interact with any guest, save to serve us coffee or tea. This is observed both days we had breakfast there. - Our room also wasn't cleaned. Not sure what the custom here in Switzerland is, but when we returned to our room after our second day, we found that our bed wasn't turned over, the dirty towel on the floor was hung up against the towels we wanted to reuse, the complimentary drinking water was not replaced. The only things done were opening the window to let air in and the trash had been taken out. If not for those, we wouldn't have known someone was in our room. - The pillows were very flat and if you folded them, they would stay folded (which means they are expired and should be replaced). This is minor if it doesn't bother you, or course. - as mentioned, the room is very small so be mindful of that if you are planning to bring large suitcases for your trip as there's little room to place them in. Overall, I would only recommend this hotel for staying in Zürich for its location and value for money and not for any other reason.

Randomly picked a steakhouse in tourists area, that we already have mentally prepared for any surprises, ordered a T bone on a heat rock, which is I don’t like this cooking, I think grill is the best cooking for steak. The meat is soso. No surprise of expensive dinning after the day one in Swiss.

We had dinner there last Saturday. The tuna was a disaster. We ordered rare to medium, but got overdone. Even though it was bought to the attention of the waitress, nothing was done to correct or compensate. Also the potato dish was cold, which we promperly sent back to be warmed up. Steaks were delicious though.

Good food. BAD service. At the beginning everything was fine, but the steak took 45 minutes to arrive. During the waiting we were totally ignored by the waiters. When it did arrived there was no apology, no explanation for the delay. Not perfect, but no big deal. Decided I wouldn't give a tip and that's it. When paying the waiter, middle aged guy with a short beard, stayed next to me, pressuring me to put a tip and looking at the machine to see how much would I put. He saw I didn't and when leaving he said "thanks for the nice tip" in a mocking way. The food is good, but please do control your employees. With other good steakehouses in the city there is absolutely no reason to go back.

Excellent steaks. The feta cheese appetizer was delicious. My sirloin steak was absolutely perfect (medium rare) and my friend’s Swiss dry rub received excellent reviews. The salmon fettuccine was nearly excellent.

Ordered a hot plate of Swiss rib eye steak with jasmine rice as the side dish for lunch. The minimum weight of the steak is 300 grams, which was a little too much for me, but I can still finish it because it was delicious!!!!

Rather great Steakhouse; I left completely satisfied. The service was flawless, there are many options in the menu, the food was excellent and came without waiting for too long. Additionally, the facilities were very clean and the location is quite nice. 10/10

Well hot damn the unexpected black stone the steak was brought to the table on delivered the perfectly cooked steak as I was able to control the outcome. The meal came licitly split too. Definitely worth the stop for a delicious hunk of beef

The restaurant service and food were not good for the price. The servers were not nice and very impatient. Even though I was also staying there I was waiting to meet someone and they practically tried to get rid of me. I had to sit and was forced to order food to stay there which was outside even though there were lots of empty tables. They belittled me for visiting with my niece for what they thought was too long even though it was only about an hour. Will never eat here or stay here again. The room was big e good at all with a broken television and other problems including no soap.

Stopped by after getting a whiff of the steaks the day before. Lovely steaks and fries. Customer service was great.

Good restaurant! I had a nice dinner here with an old friend of mine! Food was good, wine was very good. Atmosphere was outstanding! Recommended!

Excellent service standard exhibited by Ciprian and his team. He was very welcoming and patience with all our request and always keen to offer his recommendation to the menu according to our preference. His team constantly check on us and make sure that everything was well taken care off althought they were busy with other guest . The food was awesome and unique and for someone who wish to try out steak in a different way , it's definitely a nice place to try . Overall we were impressed by the high service standard exhibited by the entire team and would like to thank the team for making our night in Zurich a good one. We will definitely patronise again when we are back next time and definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for nice place to dine in the city. Thank you.

There must be no doubt. This steak house is quite possibly the best in all of Zurich. This is due to painstakingly selected meats, tremendously well paired wines (and they do have the Argies) and fantastic service. As a guest one wants to stay where the people know what they’re talking about but even more so what they can produce on the table. They tick all the boxes and then some. Anyone who cries about high prices doesn’t know the value of the excellent food. One could easily argue that this is below expectations in terms of price. The meats are fantastic and one can easily spend 3-4 hours here without noticing. And wanting more.

Very expensive price (~35 Fr) for an average food (grilled chicken). I specifically told the waiter that I want a well-cooked food but it was somewhat raw.

Very beatiful place, but shops/bars/restaurants are extremely expensive around here. To eat/drink i would recommend going somewhere a little further out (Gruz for example - 30min walk from Old Town).

The BEST steak I have ever had! I had the sirloin and my dad had the veal. Both served medium rare, then you are given an hot stone to cook it to your liking. Comes with 3 homemade sauces. Very tender, flavorful, excellent seasoning (cracked salt & red pepper). Staff are friendly and attentive! If you stay at the hotel above it, you can get a 20% off discount for dinner here. My dad and I were still talking about the steak multiple days after. We both had the gratin potatoes with it for our side.

Good menu but my portion was tasteless! I added a little salt and pepper and it brought a little more flavor. the pasta had a good feel and the vegetables were also well cooked, but the chicken was too dry! the service was quick and hasty, so there was no picture of what it really could have been! Portions was very big!

What a delightful and delicious experience. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. Our waiter was fantastic and our meals arrived in a timely manner. Serving beef on a hot stones are THE best! Old Town does it exceptionally well.

I came here on a rainy Sunday evening and stayed outside. The t bone steak was delicious even though a bit small. I appreciated the risotto side dish as healthier alternative to the classic French fries. Unfortunately the good things stop here as I was disappointed with the serving. First, the guy taking the order told me they do not serve tee, although I was able to find it in the menu and then he agreed to bring it. (Not a big deal so far). What upset me was that someone stopped me from going to the bathroom saying:"Only guests allowed". Not sure what made him think I could not be a guest there but it did not feel good. For this reason I will probably not come back soon.
