Really nice and cozy restaurant with great cucumber salad and crispy chicken. The fried noodles were a bit “boring”. But will definitely come again!

It took us 20 minutes and shouting to the waiter to get his attention to order. It took us another 30 minutes and a reminder to get two glasses of wine and some water. After 1h15 waiting, we asked what was happening with our food, and the waiter realised he lost our order. At that point, we just left. Two stars just because they were fair enough to offer us the glasses of wine. Sorry, but the service was absolutely terrible.

I was pleasantly surprised that Chinese food at The Yard tasted pretty legit! Usually, I will not voluntarily dine at Asian restaurants in Switzerland (or any western countries)... They usually cost a bit, yet any meals under CHF30 somehow always taste mediocre and/or underwhelmed. I'm a decent cook and can make a rather wide menu of dishes. However, I will recommend this restaurant anytime. We had a simple but great lunch, and the service (from the gentleman who hailed from Fujian) was warm and attentive. We paid about CHF23 per person (minus drinks). This may seem steep for some, but that is actually decent value by Zurich's standard. I will return.

Food is good - if you get it. Ordered some dumplings via Smood at around 8:30 PM and order was confirmed to arrive between 9:45 and 10:00. After that there was no status update and the order was neither cancelled, nor did I receive my food. Really disappointed.

Delicious food and friendly service of Chinese staples. Price performance is pretty good relative to other Chinese restaurants in Zürich.

If you like the smell of wok like many Chinese do, you will love this place. We came for lunch, and I must say I was positively surprised how fresh and yummy the food is! They use Swiss meat and fresh ingredients you can taste it! Not to mention the staff are polite, friendly and the place is very clean! Surely will come again!

We were there today and I was skeptical at first because of the recessions. But we were very pleasantly surprised. The service was very very friendly and polite. We got the food very quickly. The menu was varied and the food was presented very nicely and tasty.

Super yummy Chinese food. Also some Thai options in the menu. Our food was really good and the price was quite reasonable for Zurich. Vegetarian options available :)

Very disappointed with the place. There were missing quite a lot of things we wanted to order. As we came in the group of people, we would expect to get the food together. Unfortunately we were wrong.... We wait a long time to get the last meals and even for the meals we had there was no rice. The crispy need didn't have much beef....I would not recommend this place.

Food were actually great, good taste, but the service was so bad. Slow, unfriendly, inattentive waiter and waitress, careless. Foods came 1 by one .. complete unprofessional

Food was bland, and noodles over cooked. Zurich has much better Chinese restaurants. Will not be coming back.

Just visited the restaurant for dinner. We ordered steamed fish, 2 different types of dumplings and a spicy beef dish. The portion is not so big, but food are all pretty tasty. I found them quite authentic since I am originally from Sichuan area. Will go there again.

We chose the restaurant ‚The Yard‘ for our dinner, since we were looking for some tasty asian food. The service was super quick. Unfortunately, the two ordered main dishes were not served at the same time (rather one came after the other), which was a pity. But they brought us a plate of complementary springrolls as a sorry gift, which was very thoughtful (and delicious!). The restaurant offers a vide variety of dishes with some vegetarian and vegan options. So all in all, I can recommend going to the Yard!

Nice authentic Chinese restaurant. Service was prompt and food was delicious with reasonable price. We enjoyed it.

This is NOT a hotel. They are renting out a couple of rooms above the Chinese restaurant at hotel prices. No hot water, dingy and damp, no reception, so you're on your own if there is a problem, and right next to a busy road. Don't stay here. Stay at motel one or literally any other place. This is not worth your money.

As a Taiwanese - I can say the food was very authentic and delicious;) We ordered red curry shrimps, mapao tofu, pan fried circle dumplings, and hot & sour soup. Highly recommended!

NEVER AGAIN We booked online for New Year’s Eve 1/2 weeks in advance. We also called to confirm and everything was fine. They cancelled the booking on New Year’s Eve late afternoon! I asked why and they told me that sometime they have too many booking online and they just cancel some of them! Then I told me that he could keep my booking, since it was late to find a new place we said yes. We arrived and the table was not available, because they give it to people without a reservation, we had to wait 30 minutes The food was nothing special

Very very good chinese food. I had the duck and it was tasty and crispy, my partner had sweet and sour pork. Awesome!

we ordered food from the yard over eat.ch, the delivery was 30 minutes late, no one picked up the phone, we tried to reach them multiple times. After 30 minutes the delivery-guy called me, asking where he should bring the food, even though I described it exactly. I told him, that we were waiting since 30 minutes, but he didn't even apologized. And quite the worst thing is, the food was really bad. Never ever again.

Could not be more satisfying! Excellent in everyway. Loved the deco and the food. Only needed more attention from the service but I am being picky. My wife is Chinese and she loved it too

Great asian cuisine! The staff was very welcoming and attentive. They told us the chef is from Sichuan which you can taste in the quality of his food. My wife had the Dan dan noodles and claims they were the best she has had to date. I enjoyed the beef with chili oil and appreciated the spice it delivered. It is the spiciest thing I have had in Europe so far and I enjoyed every bite. I definitely recommend this restaurant. With drinks, apps and dinner, we paid about 43 CHF (about 45 USD) per person.

Very nice authentic Chinese restaurant - one of the few where it tastes like back in China! Going there often, although its a shame we can’t book on the fork anymore with a discount - I used to go more often when it was the case Ps: order the Sichuan fried chicken!

The Sichuan Boiled Fish was delicious, though it was a little bit on the sweet side! Fish was fresh and I emptied the whole bowl of soup! The Sichuan fried chicken I know has dried chili, Sichuan peppercorns and peanuts in it, but not this one. In any case, it was still yummy!

We stumbled upon this place on an evening walk and based on the menu decided to give it a shot. We were not disappointed the restaurant says they are using fresh products and local meats and the food is really tasty! The XiaoLongBao by themselves would have already deserved the 5 stars but the rest was great too :)

My family and I went there for dinner yesterday and the experience was wonderful. We have ordered several dishes and they were all very delicious. If you're visiting this local, you need to try out the fried XaoLongBaos. Great traditional Chinese dishes and a very fast and friendly service.

We had a great experience here. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful. They didn’t rush us when we were taking a LONG time to decide our order. They were very informative and helpful with recommendations. Did I mention the food was really tasty?! And very affordable for Switzerland. We booked through the fork and received 20% off. To top it al off, the staff noticed it was my friend’s birthday and brought us free deserts to share, complete with sparklers! It was a lovely touch, an attention to detail and customer care that made us feel very special. We talked all the way home about what a fantastic night it was.

Everything I good, great service, friendly staff. Except that the dishes tend to be on the salty side. Stir fried rice noodle with beef tastes super delicious in a Cantonese way!

Amazing place and service. The food is super delicious, I ordered crispy shrimps with sweet and sour sauce. Moreover, there is usually beautiful figure from vegetables, for example the bird :)

Food was exquisit. Mixed entrees were fresh and perfectly fried, pork rib was nicely spiced and juicy and the duck a l'orange was tender w/ crispy skin and a super tasty sauce. Plus, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Thanks!

The food was quite good and the servers were very very attentive. The prices were not too high and the service was in the same level as way more premium/expensive places. Will definitely come by again.

Really nice Chinese restaurant. The food was delicious, especially the Szechuan soup and the steamed dumplings!! The stuff were very friendly and kind! The only minus I’d say is the ventilation system, our clothes smelled of food afterwards. Definitely going back though!!

One of the best and authentic Chinese restaurants. Why is it a 4 and not 5 star place? 1) why serve Thai curry in a Chinese restaurant? 2) dandan beef noodles: the beef was way too salty, didnt seam like anyone tried it before serving it 3) the baos are delicious however the dough could be a bit thinner 4) eggplants: way too sweet. Why does the sauce need to be so sweet? Lamb is great, duck as well. Pancakes are alright. Can‘t wait to try out everything else on the menu.

The staff were friendly and resturant had a nice vibe. We ordered three meals. Two had to be accompanied with rice and were a bit too salty for our tastes. It’s a pity because you could see the food is freshly prepared and lower amount of salt would have helped to enhance the food tastes and demonstrate the freshness of first ingredients.

Hotel is absolutely beautiful, furniture and display are cute, one of the most beautiful room I have ever been, the owner has got good taste😊. However checking process was challenging for us, plus the rainy days. Staffs and owners are very friendly and welcoming. Food is delicious too, we braised pork knuckles and beef noodles, braised pork has some delicious dressing at bottom with influences of Szechuan.

I have dined here several times, and the service has always been excellent. The lamb chops and spicy boiled fish are both deliciously prepared, reminiscent of home flavors. I will definitely bring more friends to try it out. Highly recommend
