A Night at Riad Mabrouk: A Torrid Ordeal I regret to say that our stay at Riad Mabrouk was a far cry from the Moroccan hospitality we were looking forward to. An unfortunate confluence of neglect and poor service made it one of the most uncomfortable nights of our travels. From the outset, the room was swelteringly hot, turning what should've been a serene haven into a furnace. With outside temperatures soaring above 90 degrees Fahrenheit, the air conditioning, instead of providing relief, seemed hell-bent on replicating the Moroccan heatwave inside. We found ourselves opting to leave the windows open, as the outdoor heat was oddly less punishing. However, this decision invited other unpleasantries - a rogue honeybee which stung our daughter being the most distressing of them. Adding to the discomfort, the room refrigerator stood as a non-functional showpiece. Despite several complaints, our pleas for repair or replacement went unanswered, leaving us without any means of cooling our beverages. Our distress continued with a dysfunctional hairdryer and a claustrophobically tight bathroom space. The door was so stiff that our children needed assistance to open or close it, often resulting in loud, disruptive slams in the middle of the night. Despite multiple complaints and discussions with different front desk personnel across various shifts named Hassan and then Nabil, no solution was ever provided. The promises made to call a technician for the AC or provide us with a cooler were blatantly disregarded, reflecting an alarming lack of care for guest comfort. Finally, after a restless and uncomfortable night, we decided to leave, despite having paid for six nights. The fact that the management refused to issue a refund was the cherry on top of this unpleasant experience. We even offered them to consider refunding only three nights from the total six paid nights. We later visited the Riad again after a day to meet the manager named Shaikh Ahmed who promised to have someone reach back out to us the next morning, which never happened. In conclusion, I implore potential guests to carefully consider these points before opting to stay at Riad Mabrouk. We'd hoped for a pleasant stay, but instead we got a first-hand demonstration of neglect and an utter disregard for guest satisfaction.

WORST place you can possibly go, waited 40 minutes for then to bring even the menu, the table was all dirty and full of dishes from the people before, the waitress were super unfriendly, the quality is bad and expensive as well. Can not recommend anything about this place!!!

Last week I had miss fortune of stay at the Riad Mabrouk. Property is poorly maintained no concept of customer service and don’t be deceived by the pictures online. for three days nobody showed up to change the lightbulbs in the room. Air conditioning unit didn’t work properly remote didn’t have batteries and no one replaced AC remote batteries for 3 days. Property is probably owned by greedy owners who are just praying on well-off European and American tourist. Once again, pictures online tell you a whole different story I will not recommend this place to anyone.

This review is for the Suite Asma where we stayed at. The room was extremely dirty and virtually no amenities available. The road noise and sound of music from the surrounding areas kept us awake until 1AM in the morning. I have never stayed at any hotel/Airbnb places as dirty as this one. The door locks to the room and bathroom were barely working. The breakfast items were extremely poor. This was our first night in Morocco and we were horrified about the next few days thinking that the hotels/Riads are kept in similar fashion everywhere in Morocco. We had reservations at 3 other Riads in different cities and this was the most expensive one. To our surprise, all other Riads were very clean, well maintained and offered mouth watering breakfast. Avoid this place if you can.

WHAT A DiSASTER, the staff is unrespectful and aggresive. They made us pay for an extra room even though we were 7 people, they offered us a room for 7 and an extra room for 2 places charged for no reason. First of all when we arrived we told them that we didn't want this room for 2 more people so we didn't use it. The response from the staff was that we were ok with the BOOKING and so we made the claim. On leaving we agreed to pay 1 room 2000Dh and Booking would resolve the conflict with the extra room. The receptionist wrote the dataphone 2800dh (the extra room not used) without showing the screen and forcing us to pay without seeing quote, trying to scam us because agreement was to pay one room and cancelation of other room will be discussed by booking since it has not been used. Our reaction was anger, willing to leave, at which point he started yelling for restraint 2 people from the group and 4 people from nearby shops appeared to block the exit and told us we couldn't leave by force. See the violence of the situation, we thought of calling the police but as we had to go to the airport, we decided to agree to blackmail and pay. Bee very careful with this place!!! The place promises great photos but it's pretty weak. Close to squere but super noisy, poor natural and artificial lights, doble bedroom window at the corridor, only 2 prices for 7 people and bathroom without hot water after 8 p.m. The breakfast was the only positive. A complete desaster

Poor quality food, I have ordered a chocolate and pistachio ice cream, extraordinary disgusting, tasteless with very strong artificial sweetener hint. Very poor staff attitude towards the clients, basically a disaster. I strongly recommend to avoid this place.

Would give 0 stars. We went for food. Awful service. Took over an hour to get food. When food arrived was twice the price as most other places but wanted to finish somewhere nice. We did not get that. 50 Dirham for a soft drink! Then my meal was overcooked and cold. Useless staff, unable to support any of the issues or. 100% don't recommend.

A good hotel butchered by terrible management. The manager somehow was unable to rebook our hotel booking and wasn't able to provide us with any travel documentation, which meant we didnt know where we staying only after we were in Marrakesh late into the night, and then had to pay 1200 MAD at another hotel. We had an incident in one of their most premium suites where the bathroom door jammed, and I was locked in there for the best part of two hours. Although the builders had told the manager, the manager did not come over to us to apologise. After waiting for her, we went to her to complain. The manager, Badra, was the most inhospitable and unsympathetic person I've met in Morocco. Having argued and interrupted us countless times, we had been informed that they will give us sweets as an apology. Twenty minutes later we had received food from the earlier breakfast buffet - pastries where the manager explicitly knows we have a caeliac and a diabetic in the family. The wifi is also extremely poor - dont even try to get internet access while in any of the rooms. With there being so many other stunning hotels at the same price range in Marrakesh, I would highly recommend that you stay at another Riad, where the management isnt so poor.

Just returned from the restaurant. Very nice modern setup. Had western food at level one. Wanted to seat at the roof top but was given a different set of menu as compared to those advertised at level 1. Had to relocate. Restaurant service is no good. Therefore..

Perhaps the worst hotel ever, and I have been to many. I suggest you consider a tent rather than this place

This Riad was absolutely amazing! I stayed here one night as I only had 2 days in Marrakech and I did not want to leave at all. Everything about this riad was surpassed my expectations

Just stopped by their street-side cafe and had a mint tea. As far as people watching, it's great. But the mint tea is one of the strongest around. I asked for a bit more hot water after the first cup. Not sure if the waiter understood. He took the pot away and returned with about the same level of tea. Oh, well. It didn't help as it's been the most expensive mint tea around also.

5 stars for the roof top bar, nice view over the old town, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Much nicer than the places right on the Square if you're looking for a pint or glass of wine with a view. The roof top area is also quite large and has a lot of shaded area.

If possible, I would give 0 stars. Horrible service at the spa. I paid for an hour massage and had only 20 minutes of something that cannot be called massage as staff were chatting in the room. When asking for a refund of the 30min I didn’t had, the manager was rude and not helpful at all. Only one of the staff that was there was honest and supportive. And thanks to her I got part of what I asked back

Restaurant- Steak (beef) is well done and very chewy and flavourless. Do not recommend. The salad however is good and free Wi-Fi.

Our group of 7 arrived around 10am and our rooms were not ready so we stored our bags in their office and went about our day. We came back around 6 in the evening to check in. I booked two regular rooms and a suite for 3 people. They take copies of all guests staying in the room. There was a bit of a mix up because apparently there were two Jorge’s staying at the same hotel. They were about to give us an extra room but I knew it had to be a different Jorge. Anyways, we got that resolved. There’s also a tax fee per person and it was I believe 6€/pp. I was a bit disappointed because this hotel was going through renovations so there was a lot of banging and welding. It stopped around 7pm. The fountain in the middle was not working. Our rooms were quite small but it was clean. The safe didn’t work because it was missing batteries. I had called and the receptionist said he would bring up batteries and never did. The shower glass door didn’t close all the way. There is one bottle of body wash and 1 bottle of shampoo. The next day when the house keeper came, she took away our hand towel AND our floor towel - not sure why she didn’t replace it. The hair dryer is quite weak and the walls and kind of thin so you can the hustle and bustle right out the window. There’s a minibar however the drinks are not complimentary. Some of the electrical outlets were not screwed in tightly so it was difficult to plug in our chargers. In one of the other rooms, the vanity light was not working. The 3-person suite was BEAUTIFUL compared to our rooms. It was huge and had plenty of space. There’s a real powerful hair dryer. If you’re going to book a room, pay a little extra more and get this suite - you won’t regret it. It was a beautiful hotel however some of the small details is why I gave it a 3 Star.

Spacious room but noisy due to loud vendors on the street that go all night (bring earplugs). Fantastic rooftop bar though!

The staff there are amazing so so helpful. What was even better was our room it was like a studio flat, only thing missing was an oven looool then you could like there. And it's right on the famous square

Such a unique and great experience ! the prices are affordable and the place was really well decorated. I loved the breathtaking view of the sunset every day and the Koutoubia Mosque from the rooftop.

Trendy, EXCELLENT location. The staff was very friendly. Just be aware that the rooms are really really small for two friends traveling. Would stay here again.
