Came there for a family retreat. The park is nice but like was told before, that's it! Everything is dirty in the house. The staff at the gate is there just to talk between themselves. All the family got beaten from a bugs That are NOT mosquitoes (hopefully not bad bugs.). Some houses had even wasp nests on the windows. Felt like a true vacation, in India, not France. Definitely not coming back. There is a good hotel outside of the park. Same views probably cleaner. Go there.... 3 days later. Yeah. They have bedbugs....

We had a very good experience here. Our cottage was clean and well-equipped. There were enough activities, especially for the kids (indoors and outdoors). The staff was friendly and always ready to help. Only negative point: the sidewalks are very small or non-existent, which makes it difficult for pedestrians to walk.

A notre retour à 23h toujours rien. Nous avons dû nous débrouiller seules afin de trouver du linge propre. Le lendemain la réception nous dit que le ménage sera fait, encore une fois rien, juste 3 serviettes posés sur la table. C'est simple je ne mettrai plus les pieds là bas.

It is a nice location. The service is okay; the lodge is however terrible. House stinks of mold. We had a shared lodge with two bathrooms. Both of them had baths with bubble function. When turning them on, black things/insects came up and the smell. My lord, it was like a sewer. Try to imagine the smell when just arriving in this house. Not only one bath but the second one as well!

my daughter and I were contaminated Co**D after 4days stay in this place, same as the family of my friend. Accommodations are in old condition (including blanket and pillows) and not properly cleaned. Walls with a lot dead mosquito bodies…. Was not worth the money paid at all.

We recently returned from staying in lodge 67. We paid over 3000EUR to stay in a very run down, poorly maintained property. The kitchen was awful, all broken, barely usable appliances, the bedrooms were terrible most having significant mould. One was so bad we decided our children (3 and 6 years old) shouldn't be sleeping in there for 10 days. Instead we put them in a room with as least mould as possible however it failed to have a curtain so improvised with our own towel (see pictures). We complained whilst on site and was told they'll send someone to sort it out. Someone turned up and laughed that there's nothing they can do. I would encourage anyone to avoid staying here. It's a very run down site, poor customer service and clearly a lack of attention from Management to solve some bad issues.

We are currently staying at the resort. We are so thoroughly disappointed, upset and letdown,as this park certainly does not live up to what it promises. We have paid over 4,000 euros for us to stay for 2 weeks, so we expected a great holiday. The description of the holiday offered. Live entertainment. DJ nights. Sports tournaments. Beach parties etc etc. ( A buzzing resort it says) None of which have gone ahead, apparently due to weather conditions, with absolutely no alternative. There is an indoor sports hall and other indoor locations. ?? My 14 year old Son is particularly gutted. The bar has shut tonight at 9.00. On a Friday night ?? I’m on holiday. 😩 If this resort would rather shut early at night time and keep all ‘free’ activities to a bare minimum, they should not advertise it as a fun packed holiday location. We are gutted to be here. We have another week and a half left, but would most certainly prefer to be somewhere else. We are a family that never complain, but we were mis- sold this holiday and won’t be able to afford another Absolutely gutted.

Not like English Centre Parcs. Lots of electric golf carts buzzing around. Cars parked outside cottages. Like a big housing estate. Great indoor water centre but people spend the day there. Arrive early to get a sunbed or chair ...... just like med. Holidays.

My family and I were really impressed with this Center Parcs. The swimming area had loads of slides, much more than Sherwood Forrest. It didn’t feel too busy and we didn’t have to queue for very long for anything. A couple of the places to eat weren’t open but we probably visited before peak season. There were still lots of places to eat. The only negatives is the amount of flies and mosquitoes flying about while you eat and at the cottages, bring repellant and bite cream! Also be aware the cottages don’t have an oven, there is a microwave grill though.

Good park. Houses need a bit of renovation, but overall it was ok. Swimming pool was superb, lots of slides and the giant bucket with 900 liters of water was loads of fun. The park is lacking playgrounds for kids, comparing it to other parks. Regarding food, the pizza's were the best!

Beautiful park. But that's it. Houses lack maintenance and half the inventory is missing. There are just too many issues with the house to report it to the reception. And we got a recently redecorated one. And the staff... will make you wait. Most annoying example is when you try to take a visit to somewhere out of the park, don't expect a warm welcome back. They will have you wait behind a closed gate, even when another gate is open, you are not allowed to scan your bracelet and drive through. Why do they give me the bracelet for? Also, with the number of golf carts riding through the park this can not be considered as a car free park. The swimming pool is too small for the number of people in the park in the sense that there are far too few seats. You have to dump your towels and bags somewhere and hope a seat or seats for your family will become available. Such a shame. It's a beautiful park and it begs for another visit. But the experience is underwhelming.

We travelled over from Ireland via Belgium as have family living there. Took over 2 hours to drive from Belgium but it was so worth it for the water park alone. Had 2 kids aged 8 and 5 with us and it was a great few days for them. Some activities were expensive but on the plus side we got great weather. Price was great for Friday to Monday for 6 people sharing a lakeside villa. Would love to have done a week because of all the travel. Maybe next time.

Rooms were comfortable but a little dated location is beautiful. We hired a buggy cart and was told they only accept card payment for the deposit the staff shared they hold the deposit and this would be returned the same day we returned the buggy cart back to them. We returned this Friday and I called them today (Tuesday) as no payment had been returned i was advised due to being from the UK this can take three weeks to return to my bank we was never advised this when hiring the cart and leaving a deposit of 500 euros

This was an excellent experience overall with a couple of minor blips that took the gloss off slightly. First, the good….. Very easy to get to from Calais or the tunnel and set in such a beautiful location. Found the park very peaceful (at least when not in the Aqua Mundo!) and it is very well laid out. Good range of dining options. On site supermarket was ok but very pricey but that is no different to the UK CPs. We were there for 11 nights so it was worth driving 25km to the nearest Lidl. Availability and timing of activities was excellent and my kids loved all that they did. The climbing was a particular hit including the mini one they have for 3 years and up. Range of evening entertainment seemed adequate although my kids were generally too exhausted to stay out late. The apartments kitchens are basic (although we knew this from what was advertised) and we were glad we brought our air fryer. Saving best until last….the Aqua Mundo. A superb space with a great range of slides. It is perhaps missing a real adrenaline rush like a couple of the Longleat slides but apart from that, it’s the nest swim park we’ve been to on any of the CPs in UK or Europe. The Not so good…….. Two points: 1. Floors of the apartment and the outdoor decking were filthy on arrival. We mopped the floors ourselves and scrubbed the dried ketchup (and other things) off the outside table. This was unacceptable. 2. We turned up to the advertised kids disco (along with 50-60 other parents) first to be told it was in another location and, when we got to the new location, told it was at the first location (which it wasn’t) and then not happening due to a “technical issue”. All the while, a staff member was messaging me on WhatsApp telling me it was still happening. Fair enough if it had to be cancelled but there was no one around to explain.

Brilliant holiday in a wonderful lake with beach setting, which is a refreshing change from the usual CP forests. Boarding options add so much more to the experience. It's an absolutely stunning place. Some of the accommodation is a little tired, but not at all dirty.

  • 4/5 Martin S. 6 months ago on Google
So- firstly, it's an absolutely stunning location. My only concern is that the accommodation and pool were quite tired- and sadly a bit dirty in places. With some TLC it could have easily been the best parc I've ever visited. Activities were fun and staff seemed enthusiastic. A worthwhile holiday despite the parc not having all the mod cons.

Important for people who are planning to book! We visited Le Lac d'Ailette for second time, last time was 2020 when the quality and maintenance was already poor but today you have received a new level of poor service and terrible cottages. We had a 4-person VIP Lakeside cottage, you couldn’t book more luxury nor expensive. Reality was, a very stinky and not maintained dirty cottage somewhere near the water. Despite us reaching out to reception via WhatsApp or visiting nobody came to fix simple problems like a broken toilet. Aquamundo remains fun for the kids, despite that Friday 20/10 almost nothing was working, and also here maintenance is long long ago. Disappointing to see this park going down so quickly.

We liked our stay for 11 days at Lac d'Ailette. It is a great location to visit with children because of all the activities, the extensive pool, etc. The suites are dated and even though things were clean and somewhat complete, they definitely need a larger update for this price level. We liked the availability of roofed space in the garden as this was a great solution during rainy periods. Service was great even though we didn't need it that much. Have to say that drinks are really expensive, up to a level that it's almost a no-go (5€ for a coke). The restaurants are reasonable priced and service was good. It can be crowded so make a reservation well up in advance. The supermarket is quite large, which came in handy when we missed some goods. Location near the lake was really cool, especially for kids. Beside the parc itself we found the surroundings a bit dull. Laon was ok, Reims was great but a long drive.

Staff were generally pleasant, well mannered, and happy to help. The park is clean and well maintained. The apartments were a little tatty, could have done with decorating. Restaurants and on site shop is pricey but that was to be expected

A lovely place where you can either stay on site or explore the local area, we went went on a bike ride which was pretty much all cycle paths. We've two boys, 14 and 11, and they loved the slides and fast river. The accommodation was comfortable, lakeside position lovely although a shame we could not swim in the lake. In fact the lake was disappointing.

  • 4/5 Adrian C. 8 months ago on Google
The accommodation we booked was a Premium cottage lake view and for 6 of us (4 adults, 2 children), it was very small. The bedrooms were small and one double was in fact a twin with a sponge for a mattress, the living area was compact, the 2nd shower was downstairs when we thought it was en suite, the lack of simple items such as a shower mat for the bathroom on the floor was disappointing? The pool area also felt a little tired and had no real adrenalin slides that you’d expect, overall it felt underwhelming compared to Center Parcs in the UK. The location and setting however was stunning and very tranquil with the cost of the activities and on site restaurants feeling fair in the main. I’d probably not return due to some of the basics and explore another site next but the one point that would make me return is the area, it is beautiful and the lake makes the holiday so peaceful, as it can be with an 11 & 9 year old.

the park itself and the views are amazing. That is about as much positive i can say. the cottage was nice but if you advertise that the cottages are newly renovated and there are broken kitchen cabinets, stains on the bathroom floor and shower, curtains with rips and stains and light switches falling off. you are not correctly advertising it. i do want to remark that we had the lakeside cottage with a stunning view but i dont understand that nothing was provided to keep the mosquitos out or a fan/AC unit that you can cool the place down withut opening the windows. the activities are plenty and ok but pricey for what it is. the moest horrible part of the whole stay was the food. the only acceptable restaurant was closed after 1 day of staying there. the italian restaurant is poor in quality and service is rude. the buffet is just plain disgusting. you pay 33 euro per person and there is barely anything decent to eat. you have your salad bar that is stale, then some local stuff that had been sitting in the heat for too long and nothing looked appetising. the main course was vegatable dished that came straight of a can and sitting in its own juices for hours and they "cooked" your meat to order. it has to go fast but having your piece of meat on you plate after only being on the grill for 5 minutes is not ok. meat was cold and raw on the inside. even the childrens options are disgusting, they had fishnuggets and i have never tasted anything so bad in my life. dont know if its actually fish. dessert was all dry puddings and i didnt even touch the soft serve icecream because it was so dirty. if you go to this parc dont expect super cottages and foodwise bring your own ingredients and cook yourself. it is way to expensive for what you get.

Lovely place to spend family or friend holidays. Interior swimming pools make it compatible for all seasons. Our teenage children love it! Safe and secure, bike riding is a nice activity. Just be apprehensive the day of departure: restaurants are crowded so you should anticipate if you intend to eat lunch there before leaving (time to leave your cottage is 10.00). One of my preferred domains.

  • 4/5 Lesley R. 9 months ago on Google
Had a fantastic week. Lots of choices of things to do. Staff friendly and helpful. Negative point was there were sometimes too many cars parked within the park.

  • 5/5 Elmer S. 10 months ago on Google
We don't get why so many people are disappointed in the park. Sure, the cottages show some wear and tear and apparently we disagree on the definition of 'fully equipped American kitchen', but the lakeside cottage views are hard to beat and Aquamundo and the lake beach are fantastic. We had a blast!

Worst Center Parcs ever!!! Dirty, u have to walk 500 meters to you’re house, even when u are disabled!!! Unhuman pricing, parking 8 euro a day is not included in the pricing. Note, that’s the spot where u can park and then have to walk 500 meters to you’re rented house… When u tell the staff you are disabled and show them the disabled card, they say “ that’s not my problem “. … …

I have a mixed experience on the park... While there were enjoyable aspects of the trip, there were also a few notable drawbacks that impacted our stay. One of the main concerns we encountered was the high cost of drinks and food at the resort. As a result, we opted to eat in our room every night to save on expenses Furthermore, during the evenings, the rooms became unbearably hot due to the absence of air conditioning or fans. The scorching 35-degree Celsius heat made it uncomfortable to sleep, and opening the windows was not an option due to the presence of countless mosquitoes. As a result, we found ourselves sweltering in the stifling heat, unable to sleep. On a positive note, the pool area was a pleasant too cool off during the day. Additionally, we enjoyed the beach and farm area. The on-site shop offered reasonably priced items, although we discovered that the prices were even more affordable at a local Leon Carrefour. This is worth considering. One crucial piece of advice I would offer to future visitors is to bring a fan and a mosquito net. These pests were rampant. However, it's no fault of the site but just the surroundings. Lastly, I must mention that the cottages could use some attention and maintenance. The wooden decking showed signs of rotting, and the overall craftsmanship was somewhat lacking. Although this did not significantly impact our stay, it is an area that could benefit from improvement. Despite the drawbacks, I can say that our holiday was decent overall, However, I hope that the management addresses the maintenance issues to ensure a more pleasant experience for future guests.

Amazing place, beautiful little houses to stay in. The bus that works within the park is like a little cartoon van that moves as fast as a giant sea turtle but the kids found that cute too. Everything was a bit pricey but that was to be expected for France. Overall really nice experience.

Great facilities for families and an undeniably beautiful location to which we will no doubt return. I will say that the cottages are older and less well equipped than some of the other locations and that some of the basics of cleanliness and maintenance were regularly lacking. The first cottage they offered us was unacceptably dirty and the second one didn't have enough rooms, the third however was excellent with a west facing view over the river (great for the sunset each night). We decided to extend our stay and whilst we couldn't keep our original cottage they were super helpful in finding one that was very close. One other point to note, the pool (Aquamundo) gets incredibly busy at certain times, to the point of being uncomfortable, especially if you have little ones. We noticed Saturday and Sunday afternoons as the worst and weekdays mornings as the quietest. If you are willing to negotiate your location and work around the busy times at the pool I would 100% recommend booking a trip here.

Center Parcs is a great location for a family holiday. But this one hasn't completely won our hearts. The pool was certainly ok, the children had great time. But the housing and maintenance of the park are below expectations. Many things are worn out or broken. A short break, yes, a long stay, better think twice.
