Found this place during my morning walk. The flower churros got my attention. They were beautiful and tasty! I wish I got more! Unfortunately I didn’t get to try their churros. I would love to go back to this place one day.

This place is fantastic. The staff are courteous and attentive. They have gluten friendly churro options that rival the regular ones, and dairy-free milk alternatives for their superb coffees. Its a place on the return-to list!

Quick and brisk service. They'll seat you right away, take your order, and bring your food with your check. It's not the type of place I would like to sit around and chat with friends, but for one last churro before heading to the airport it was perfect.

Just perfect. I will always come back every time I am in Madrid. The fact that it's very busy and crawling with locals says it all: this is a high quality place!

Very delicious. Pay in the entrance, and they bring you the order. We ordered tea as well. They have option for lactose free and sugar-free chocolate. Edit: As you order in the entrance, make sure to double-check your receipt before giving it to the waiter. There is a possibility the order is not what you ordered. They have sandwiches and hamburgers too.

Delicious fresh churros & chocolate. Located right downtown Madrid, lots of indoor seating. Is a busy place for locals and tourists alike. Service is quick & friendly.

Absolutely delicious churros and chocolate. Be warned, the queue can be very long during weekends or holidays season as there are many locals and tourists. Long queue for both take away or sit in. My advice is to visit during the day around lunch time. Still crowded but the queue move fast. Service is very fast once you paid for your order and secure a seat.

We accidentally stumbled upon this place while walking. For me, the best churros I tried in Madrid. The taste and structure of churros. Chocolate that tastes like real chocolate, not a variation of chocolate. The place looks interesting. Definitely worth a try.

It's delicious even after a full meal. A cup of chocolate + a dish of churros is a perfect couple of the dessert. As an Asian, I don't have sweet tooth, but this one is irresistible.

If you are looking for a vegan location, this is not the one. Although the offer is there, the hot chocolate is really substandard/ watery and greasy. The churros are good in itself, shame the rest of the experience ruined it :( They can always improve!

Really good hot chocolate and the churros were well done. Service was fast and the prices are good. The place felt a little creamed but besides that, a good experience.

In my opinion, 1902 has the best churros in town. The hot chocolate is not too sweet and very creamy. In combination with the very slightly salted churros, it just tastes amazing!

Great place to have breakfast Churros with hot chocolate :) The service was fast. There is a windowed area where you can see how the churros are prepared right in front of you. Both the churros and the hot chocolate was very delicious.

Efficient service despite the long holiday lines. The process of ordering and paying upfront before being seated makes everything run smoother. So, it's a good idea to check the menu ahead of time and be clear on what you want to order. They also find it helpful if you specify the gluten-free choices first. All gluten-free food is served on black dishware.

Churros were good – crispy and not too oily. Came here on two separate occasions and tried both the dark and milk chocolate, which were both good. But the overall experience was pretty odd – first, you gotta line up to place your order. The first time we came here (in the morning), we were told to then line up at the counter to get our food. This was great because you can clearly see the line and gauge how long you have to wait. Even though the place was full, we only waited like less than 5 minutes. Simple and efficient process, right? But the second time we were here (about 4pm), we were told to go straight to our table after ordering and wait for someone to take our receipt and serve us. This resulted in a 15-minute wait, plus we had to try to catch the service staff’s attention. Would’ve been easier if I had collected my own food instead. The cream-filled pastry also tasted off, like it had been left out for too long. There was a weird, greasy taste to it.

Tourist here, so take with a grain of salt. However, I am a chocolate aficionado and actually do get chocolate bars and drinking chocolate everywhere I go (throughout North America and Europe). I was recommended this place from a friend that lives in Barcelona, so out of any the other chocolate/churro places to go, I was told this is one of the better ones. However, the chocolate lover in me would firmly state that this was hands down the most mediocre drinking chocolate I've had. I thrive on dark chocolate, and theirs had no body to it, honestly not much to it all, I've never not finished a cup but this was the first. The service was ok, they got me what I asked for eventually but they see so many tourists they didn't really care when they originally gave me the wrong things. Anyway, this place is likely fine for the average visitor but don't expect a great chocolate experience. I'll try the chocolate bar when I have a moment and update this if it's better than I expect it to be. EDIT: The 85% bar is actually high quality. My guess is the vats they serve the drinking chocolate have been out too long or they're diluted too much. But I would endorse you stopping in to buy their chocolate bars, I'd rate at about an 8.5/10.

The BEST!! I love the crunchy and fresh fried churros. Chocolate was so richhhh (see the video) They open from 8am, I went back twice for breakfast before leaving Madrid, gonna miss this churros so much.

We were heading to a different churro spot when we stumbled upon Churrería Chocolatería. They’ve been around since 1902 and surprisingly offer gluten free, dairy free and sugar free options. No line on a late Wednesday evening. You order and pay first at the front. - Raćion de churros (4,00€) with chocolate negro (3,50€) - four churros and we added the dark chocolate. Not too heavy or sweet. The gluten free churro texture was fine, but the flavour on its own was bland. Okay churros but nothing I’d crave again.

Had an awesome time here. Tastiest churros with chocolate I ever had. I recommend taking a look at the menu and knowing what you want before making the line if you are going when it's crowded. The menu is in english as well if you can't read Spanish. We went when it was crowded but good thing is they take your order and you pay before being seated. The receipt is just so they can get your order and bring your food to you which is awesome.

A very popular churreria that offers regular and gluten free churros with hot chocolate. You pay and order at the entrance and get seated. The interior is pretty basic, but the service is super quick. However, I found my churros to be very oily and the hot chocolate too sweet and runny. Not sure if it's supposed to be like that though.
