👍👍 Amazing area for picnic. Where do you have a better place for picnic that is literally next to the creek, in the forest, under the big ferns with the sound of the waterfall, birds. Feel like being back to the Jurassic world. Only couples of steps to the area with table and chairs for resting/picnic...

👍👍 Nice lookout which provides stunning 360-degree view of the valley below. It can get very crowded during early afternoon, so it's best to visit it during early morning hours to get the space for yourselves and the sunrise view will be an added bonus. The lookout is located just in front of the iconi...

👍👍 What a grouse family afternoon out. We Absolutely loved it !!! The kids & I had a ball. Was a bit of a walk from the carpark but that was part of the fun & it really wasn't too far. And once at the playground area it was all worth it. It was really fantastic. Between watching the wallabies bouncing...

👍👍 Nice spot and great short walk. There supposed to be lots of birds but they had a better offer elsewhere. It is a bit disappointing as a picnic area, apart from a fire pit there are no facilities nor any seating. Easy access and diverse flora made the visit worth it.

🫤 We went there for the campfire 🔥 BBQ but found that they are removed. (See pictures) You are only allowed to use the council provided BBQ hot plates The sheltered BBQ area is dirty with rubbish on the floor and the hot plates are only warm not hot enough for BBQ. Disappointing!

😐 Not too bad a place. I parked at the Stoney Creek picnic area and walked to the Amalie Gorge Picnic area. The drive down to the park is rough. You could do it in a 2WD but it would be very uncomfortable. The walk itself is fairly well marked with scattered seats along the way. Plenty of gum trees...

👍 Took my grandsons aged 11, 9 & 3. They had a great time, the water is shallow enough for the little one to play safely but deep enough for the bigger ones to enjoy. The playground has been a great addition and all enjoyed it
