👍👍 Extremely muddy and boggy when I did it early May, i would recommend avoiding the trailhead on the side of the road until later on in spring. I still had lots of fun, once you get to the old ww2 bunker it's smooth sailing. Great ocean views, definitely wear boots.

👍👍 There is no charge to visit. Donations accepted. Lots of amazing history, lovely gift shop, tea room and you can place orders on line for delicious, home made cooked goods from their website. Nicecfamily outing. Farm animals roam around too.

👍👍 It's a wetland, it's wet and natural. You can hand feed most birds here. It's free and small enough that little kids don't get bored too quickly. There's custom benches, art pieces, and even access to toilets.
